I'm flying to Saudi Arabia from the US for this fight card because this is the most stacked card in recent boxing history. It's honestly insane what KSA is doing with sports and their general entertainment and society. Obviously, I'd love to see Wilder vs Joshua or Fury vs Usyk, but this card is so stacked with so many good fights that I can't miss it.

Interesting to hear Joshua talking about reform in the way boxing is run. If there was a legitimate league system in tandem with a world knockout system, we would see a lot more fights between the best of the best. A separate system may still be needed to allow room for matchup’s that the public want to see e.g. Fury vs Joshua but, these “One Off” Rocky style fights do not trump the legitimate route to undisputed world champ. Promotors who object or support a system like this would be a good test of their legitimacy.
I wanna see more of the old Joshua, a killer in the ring and a gentlemen outside the ring.

Boxing needs structure lie other sports. At the moment it's ridiculous with some boxes only participating once a year with no penalties.
If any other sports person was so inactive without good reason they would be dropped fom competitions, rankings etc;
Boxing as a sport needs a sporting structure. It needs a league, a time table, a contest in each division for an ultimate goal each year, it needs to be a professional sport run by professionals, and not controlled just by promoters.
Imagine if the Premier league had the same non structure that boxing had, or an F1 champion sat out entire race meetings for a year and then decided to race a rally driver that's never competed in F1 in an F1 race in F1 cars and got paid 50 million for a non event...it's bonkers....
No chance those guys are risking their lives. They need to rest

Joshua first talked about ducking Wilder in 2017. He told Johnny Nelson in Oct 2017. "I’m going to do things my way. If Wilder works we’re going to make it happen, if Wilder isn’t the right opponent for next year, then we’ll put it back into 2019.But I’m just going to do things my way, people just can’t rush my career, that’s what I’ve learnt. I’ve got a career I need to map it out, I’m going to take fights at the right time for me and if it’s next year or the year after or the year after when I fight him I’ll be in a position to beat him."
AJ is going through the route that would make 3x heavy champion & I don't blame him. He said he would fight Wilder mid next year.
