I love watching the Rock ‘n Roll express in the NWA promotion. Robert Gibson and Ricky Morton. I remembered waiting for the NWA show come on TV. The wrestling matches were real with Rock’n Roll Express versus Midnight Express.

Ricky Morton was an incredible performer during his prime. Here in Philly, I remember watching their debut in an incredible match on World Wide Wrestling back in July, 1985 when they defeated the Russians for the tag titles.

Ricky Morton was on the First card I ever saw live back in 1981 in Joplin, Mo. He fought Mike George in the semi main event and lost by count out. I knew even then he would be really good, but not to the level he actually reached in his great career.
