I know that in this video you say that the colors look muddyish and yellow, but i actually think it looks great! everybody has their preferences

I bought this deck over a year ago and it is still my main deck. I love this deck so much, it's the original reprint and the card stock quality is really good indeed, I love the feel of this deck, it's not a flimsy deck by any means and this deck ages well and will last a very long time. I won't even bother with any other Rider-Waite deck. It just feels so good in the hand and feels good when you shuffle it as well, it has this antique feel to it which I love. I highly recommend this deck and I have been into Taro for many years, definitely my go to deck for anything. I will be buying another set to keep on hand or to give to a friend.

It's not the original. Far from it. Not only is the Lily back not the first ( original) offered, but this is a reprint of a Pam C deck. I'll pass. Plus the colors are not true to the esoteric original meanings.

They work for me and the card stock is great, not soft or flimsy, and they have this antique look which I totally dig. Most of the other RW decks are always changing the colors anyway so I don't really care about that, I'd rather have a faded yellow than a bright yellow that's too loud!! I love this deck and I think it's perfect for me, and I get positive compliments on it when I use it for readings for others. The patterns on the back are way better than that ugly plaid look as well. This deck has never failed me.

The coloring of the deck makes me think of autumn leaves. I’m very picky with decks and only have one RWS deck (Albano-Waite) and I love the color theme of this deck. I wish the lilies on the backs of the cards were the same colors as the box. I like the bright blue but it doesn’t match the mood of the deck imo.

I'm glad you enjoyed this video! I do like the "original" rider waite smith edition, but my personal preference is the "centennial" rider waite smith edition as far as quality goes. I recommend any editions of the RWS deck though, as it is a classic to learn with. It was my first, and have since branched out to other decks, but I still regularly use this for readings.

That deck is most likely a Pam B deck as far as the art goes. And the back design is from the original 1909 . So that's a combination deck.

I feel like someone looked at an original deck... And didn't take into account the fading of color over time from what the original color would have been... Then they made those faded (incorrect) colors more vibrant. It's like having an artificially aged deck. Something I'm actually not against in theory. Kinda makes it feel older. But like, the blues are all faded out to green. Which means the symbolism isn't as clear. Oh well. I still prefer this backing to the blue plaid.

i bought this deck, eventhough i was not meaning to. Once i entered a shop for some pens, and becouse my old deck very old, i was havin a new deck in the back of my mind for a while. So anyway, i saw it, and i kinda liked the color scheme of the box. However, upon seeing the colors i was highly disappointed, becouse alot of the cards are a mess - color wise, too dark basically. At first, i didnt rlly touch the deck, and i wanted to donate it, but never really got around to that. Anyway, i've broken it in by now... And i woulda been happier if the colors used for the box would be on the back of the cards also, because, as they are - the colorscheme simply doesnt seem "best" to me. And about the drawings, if they really are the originals digitized... then i can be happy for that... Its just, after using the Radiant Rider deck, the Original seems like it could use alot of work - post production.
And so i wrote, as i was inspired to share my thoughts about ur draw - as you draw. Becouse all i seen been unboxing videos... And it really is about actually playin with the cards, isnt it really?
I,ve never really pair attention in detail to facial expressions. I was just taking them 'in general", from a more distant point of view, but maybe i should ?
Anyway, i like what your saying... king of swords, direct, dry, severe, with a soft side. Looking down to the left, thats actually real, because the sword cuts both ways, and its not easy to be all that... but he is the king of swords - for a reason.
The world, kings have kingdoms, and his is the world, not bad - completion, wholeness, a bit of it all. All for one, one for all - the world.
Ohh, and boobies sag :) time knows.
5 swords... a falling out, some may not like the card because obviously its kinda sad, and sucha situation can really set u off track. Yet the other side tells me that its not over yet, maybe becouse 1...5...9, and some things have to be worked out first, alone, becouse clearly, they were not working out at the moment. Swords like words can also cut deep, sometimes that can happen. Thats just the nature of truth, and ultimately, truth is for the best.
The scales, balance, just swordsmanship :) Nice draw, what can i say...
    lol, 5 wands...
    and lololol
    cheers!
    E

    Heyy SunGoddess Ashley
I just wanted to ask since im a newbie to tarot..
    Do the cheap decks work?

    • @SunGoddessAshley
      @SunGoddessAshley  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

Inexpensive and pricey decks both work effectively regardless of the cost. The quality and detail of the artwork on more expensive decks do not impact your ability to draw cards and read them. Actually, the more detailed the art on the card of niche decks, can make it confusing to the eye and can distract from the core meaning and interpretation. I like the tried and true basics that are found in more in traditional and simplistic artwork. Collectors decks are more expensive. The main point is that regardless of the price, you will want to work with a deck that you identify with the art in such a way that you clearly can define meaning and interpret easily from.

I suppose that some people believe that you are not allowed to buy your own deck, but personally I don't really subscribe to this idea. Clients tell me that I give them accurate readings with the decks I purchase myself, and I consider myself to be a moderately superstitious person. What is true for one person may not hold true for another, so it is best to decide what is best for you.
