If there are high surface finish requirements when edge bending/press brake, the Swedish product Tribotextil™ can be applied in the bending/pressing tool and mechanically protect the sheet metal from scratches and other damages. Tribotextil™ is an extremely thin and very strong textile that in this process replaces lubricants in the tool.
Hello, i worked as a brake press operator, but searching for a video that can reduce my pressing time. When ever i try to bend something it takes around more than 30 sec can i reduce it ??
@@leer.9641 With certain types of steel like sheet and plate steel the cost has tripled since the plandemic hit, that is where I got those numbers from, $240 is three times $80. All types of steel such as bars, tubing, pipe, structural, etc. have increased by over two times the original cost, this is not yet fully reflected in pricing because it takes a while for price changes to go into effect and I think many manufacturers are waiting to see if the price drops in the near future before making price adjustments to their products.
@@phillhuddleston9445 I understand. I'm a contractor, so I've watched as lumber prices have soared. The increase in the prices of those commodities hasn't been as a result of inflation, though. Steel prices have risen as a result of foreign policy with China, among other things. A gallon of milk, a dozen eggs, and a loaf of bread cost almost exactly the same as they did 5 years ago. That wouldn't be the case in an inflationary economy.
@@leer.9641 That is partially true but it's also that with all the stimulus money paid out to people for not working and to the working as extra money to spend the demand for some goods has risen while the supply can not be replaced as fast leading to shortages of some goods. Food prices have not fluctuate as much because the increased personal incomes have not caused people to significantly increase the amount of food they are eating.
What a beautiful piece of equipment. Thank you for taking the time to make the video.
3:50 watch your thumb there, bud.

Pressing metal is the sexy bit. All the rest is losing money. Address the down time to capitalise.
Lot of $80 parts to pay for that sucker.
Good thing inflation has now made them $240 parts 😞
@@phillhuddleston9445 I don't think inflation gets an $80 part to $240 in 5 years.
