I’m playing on my fourth playthrough, still find unmarked quests I’ve not seen before. As a 68 year old widow, I absolutely love this game and it’s DLCs.
I remember the first Atari game I saw. I was so disappointed. My friend was like, 'hey, you want to play Pong?" In less than a minute, I realized as a young boy, that the technology should be more like playing a movie/game. I was crushed knowing it would probably be way into my adulthood before that happened. Now I am retired and we have VR games that are like I knew they should be. Maybe that memory is colored by hindsight, but maybe... 'all time is now'?

Just wanted to say that your Witcher 3 guides are awesome. The editing and visual overlays throughout are very well done. I can tell you put a lot of effort into them. Keep up the great work, it's very much appreciated!
Hell yeah man. The witcher universe is just that well fleshed out I've put 100+ hours into it on each of the Xbox generations as well as PC to dig into the mods with them being more available in the last couple of years of the life span of the Xbox one I'm hopeful they might consider adding mods to the next gen versions at some point
@@mdemian1968 200? Sheesh.. I had started a few years back and had to stop because I wasn't getting sleep.. I work 12hr shift so I would get off work at 730am and start playing , not to mention I would tell my self I'm only gonna play for hr or 2. Next thing I knw its 330 or 4 pm and I have to leave for work at 545..fun game but the time I put into it for so many hrs. 1 mission was confusing me lol. Like I put so much time and didn't get anywhere really? is what it felt like.. 1 mission would have 5 mission in that 1 lol.But I'm getting back into it because i just watched season 2 of the witcher and hated how it ended.. I want more hahahs
Just started playing the complete edition on Xbox(never played before) and was just kind of running around not knowing what to do the first 2 hours. Awesome game and this guide will save me a ton of time learning the ropes. Great guide and you can see the time you put into it. Cheers!
Hey! Glad to see W3 isnt dead, I play the game from the release so I can give you some "hardcore" tips I would say: Viper School Swords, add one Devana Rune to each and 5/5 Poison Blades and you will bleed out enemies that are even 20 levels higher on highest difficulty DM (still takes time and some reflexes to beat bosses that are skulls with unknown level, but mostly time since pattern of monsters are just joke in W3) Arachas Decoction with Protective Coating 5/5 will reduce damage you take by 50-75% combined no matter of your armor. Since you have Viper School Swords and Devana Runes with Poison Blades, you can enter Skellige right after Emhyr releases you to Velen, yeah. Get all Velen, Novigrad, Skellige Places of Power right after prologue, its possible and its quite ez. Go to Toussaint as fast as possible even at low level, just one-tap Goliath with crossbow and start selling ur shit for most profit to Toussaint GM BS, Innkeeper etc. (You can even get Euphoria) Get Ofieri Saddlebags at the start of the game, just beat the Ofieri trader in a race, can be achieved with starting horse gear. Best Steel Sword for NG is Hen Gaidth, since it scales to your level when picked up. Severance Rune is the best, no matter how good permanent buff from grindstone sounds, Severance is just the best one. Manticore Chest, Nilfgaardian Gauntlets, New Moon Trausers, Manticore Boots are BEST IN SLOT. (For max damage) Critical Damage is the only stat you should care for late game. Forktail Decoction is filler for Euphoria as fifth decoction active at the same time, before u use it, drink Tawny Owl and wait, then use Water Hag, Ekimmara, Arachas, Doppler or Succubus, (Tawny Owl at Night) and Forktail Decoction - Max Euphoria with Stamina Regeneration until u meditate (Which isnt needed, you basicly oneshot everything, unlimited health, life-steal, invincible) You can spam Rend without stamina or adrenaline. Ekimmara starts kicking in around level 20, so you can sell all your food and never have to use Swallow or any healing even again. Poisoned Blades, Protective Coating, Acquired Tolerance then move to Combat and get light and strong attack bonuses plus add one point to whirl and rend, and you are good to go, most powerful build at lower level. (Kill Harrisi as fast as possible for Arachas Decoction), Temerian Set because its light so you can abuse Cat School Perk. The biggest use of Signs isnt protection, damage or whatever Signs Players say (looking from the top at you, sign player) it can be utilized for animation cancel for your melee combos, almost every lesser monster back off after two light attacks from you for lounge attack - dodge, otherwise parry for animation cancel and for combat flow. Avoid fighting monsters that share skeleton with Griffin (Basilisks etc.) on highest difficulty that are red-skull with unknown level, since their pattern is not fun to fight, its killable but takes time (Early Levels of Geralt) Make sure you use Griffin Swords at 11, Cat 17 and finally Ursine at 20. You can obtain Teigr (Steel, 10% Bleed) early, but hold on until you match the level with Ursine Swords, since Ursine Steel is shitty. (You can do the quests, but loot the chest at level of your choice you wish to obtain the sword) No money? Just invest an hour of your time and loot whole Novigrad, problem solved. My last playtrough I took my time and end up with 190k crowns at level 20. Sell all of your rune-stones, just keep devana (bleed) runes (2x), they are useless but worth a crowns. When you hunt for specific mutagen, just save and reload until it drops from the monster. (Usually at low level, these mutagens drops from red-skull enemies) Dont ignore oils, its pain in the ass to re-apply them again but Poisons Blades and Protective Coating are such strong talents, its not even fair. When it comes to Human enemies, just Axii them, wait one sec to game register that they have stun status and one-shot them by execution (Level, HP - doesnt matter, Axii-Execute) Hope some of these tips will help, its just a few lines.. there is a lot more how to dominate the Continent but that would be more pages. Have fun, experiment!
Wow this was very very useful but also there’s a lot that I don’t see the point of doing. Just like euphoria immortal godliness. I prefer the game to be hard if possible. And i find it quite annoying doing high lvl quests first... at 1st I was like oh sweet this feels bad ass, but then I realized I had a huge list of low level & 1xp grant waste of time quests to do cause I ranked up too fast. (And I’m trying to 100%) so I gotta do em lol. But holy cow dude u memorized so much stuff. But yeah wouldn’t you rather not be over powered and immersed? Instead of seeing #s & exploits & such?
Hey question, do you think bleed is better than poison? Or are they just as good? Does bleed affect everything equally? Cause I can see poison not being as effective on venomous/poisonous insects or creatures.
But this should definitely be documented. Maybe screenshotted and posted on reddit. Of course with your username and if u ever respond u can say whether or not
Great guide. Best one I’ve come across. Perfect for a returning player. Ready for next gen play through. And to experience both DLCs for the first time too 😎. Thank you.
This was probably the best guide I've ever seen. Everything was easy to follow and well structured. This is great work dude! You're so underrated idk how this doesn't have atleast a million views
Thank you so much for the supportive feedback! Really appreciate it 🙏 Glad to hear the guide was helpful for you, thanks for watching and enjoy the game :) 🍻
I have to add that I Agree, thank you so much GamerGrade for putting in the work and sharing knowledge. Also the fact that there are specific videos on different categories is amazing!
Yay, this is exactly what I was looking for! I started playing Witcher 3 only a couple of weeks ago and have been looking desperately for a good beginner's guide. I'm still like 3 seconds into your video, but knowing your work, I'm sure it's spectacular. Thanks, man!
You're most welcome Rowshan! I hope the guide helps you out for your first play through. As always, your continued support is really appreciated 🙏 Good luck and enjoy :) 🍻
Pro tip when u hit blood and wine xpack make sure to do the quest for the areondight sword its awesome, also dont turn in the quest for the sword till ur as high a lvl u can go. Which for me was 55 but u can grind it till 61 but it will take awhile, id rather just start a NG+ instead of grinding to 61. What the importance of 61 it maxes ur armor to grandmaster armor and viper armor set to lvl 100 which is the max lvl ingame. Also the reason u dont turn the quest in for Areondight is because it is a sword that lvls with u, and if u get it early u will have to lvl it which can be tedious. So the later u get it the less lvling u have to do, but make sure to turn the quest in before u start a NG+.
i've been playing it for 2 playthrough maybe 100s of hours but still watching this videos as i might miss something, youve done tremendous job with editing this video mate. well done
Thanks so much for the feedback and support! So glad to hear such a guide can still be helpful for experienced players 🙏 Thanks for watching and enjoy your next play through :) 🍻
Please don't stop making tutorial vids! Anyway, this might be out really out of theme, but recently, I've been watching a Hearts of iron 4 TH-camr under the channel name of "Pydgin". My highlight is of his bite size tutorial video format ranging from 1 to 3 minutes. One video takes on a specific topic. For the witcher 3, it could perhaps be about - Geralt's & other characters short backstory - Merchants and blacksmiths -The witcher politics in short. - Bombs - Potions - Treasure hunting Etc, etc. I really wouldn't mind watching short videos breaking down the previous contents you've made over the years. It's up to you though, I'll watch anything you make, lol. Keep up the good work man, you're a blessing to the witcher community.
Thanks Pedro i really appreciate your continued support and helpful feedback as always! 🙏 Thats a great idea and one ive actually been thinking about how to implement for a while. Ive got myself into a bad habit of having to deliver as much value per video as possible, and my wife is also telling me to break things down lol. Much shorter videos will definitely be more of a thing on my channel in 2022 💯 I hope 2022 is a great year for you and your family Pedro, thanks again for your feedback my friend :) 🍻
Bro.... you are awesome!.... I have been looking for videos on TH-cam for someone to explain things about this game...and I don't think anyone can explain things as well as you do... big thank you! for all your hard work in putting all of this massive information together and helping the rest of us enjoy this very cool game... your model of explaining and breaking a game down should be followed by all gamers ... you are absolutely on top of my list.
I played this a while back when it was on gamepass but never really got into it. But then I started watching the Netflix series and decided to get back into it since it was only 10$. It finished installing today and to my surprise, I spent the whole day playing it which I usually don’t do because I barely play any video games anymore
Thats awesome to hear! This has happened to so many players, the first time they try it doesnt click for them, but the second or third time it all falls into place and they become hooked, and long term Witcher fans! Thanks for watching, good luck and enjoy the game :) 🙏🍻
Yeah that’s what happened to me. I just didn’t get the game the first time but here I am halfway done with my ng+ on death March difficulty already planning what I’m gonna do on my next new game, putting the difficulty as high as it’ll go. The game is absolutely incredible but sometimes it takes a bit to see it
@@dcmastermindfirst9418 *supposed to be based on the book. especially season 2 has literally nothing to do with the books, as it has an entire different story line for no reason...
@@lhmagix873 Lol. That's bullshit. I know 3 guys who are currently reading Last wish. That's the novel which this season was based on and they all say it follows extremely well. Back on your bike kid.
You're the most knowledgeable YT guy on TW3! I've played TW3 All expansions but I'm waiting for the Next Gen. version so I could start from scratch on my PS5. However, I'll keep all my $$$ and gear, etc because I'll play from scratch via. New Game +. Yeah!
Thanks so much for the feedback :) 🙏 Thats a great idea, the next gen update will be epic, the perfect way to play your NG+ run! Cant wait for it to be released 💯
This was excellent. I’ve watched about 6 beginner Witcher TH-cam videos and by far, this was the most useful and comprehensive. I really appreciated how he didn’t explain why. He got right to the point, explained the merits and moved onto the next subject. Thanks so much for so many useful tips!!
Thank you. Had this game for a year and a half. Played for three hours, but had just finished playing Skyrim for 350 hours mostly in first person. So didn't get on so well in this and put it down. Now have the confidence to start fresh and enjoy the game. Many thanks again.
I’m just discovering your channel for the first time and I’m completely blown away by the quality of your videos. They are much like Manticore gear, nothing but Mastercrafted. I appreciate the content, well done!
Love this guide!! I’m going to keep this bookmarked to help me throughout my play through, as this is my first play through of the Witcher 3 complete edition on PC. I got drawn in by finishing the Netflix series, read some of the books and now going to experience the game. Thank you again!!!
You're most welcome Jack! So glad to hear the guide is helpful for you, its such a shame about Henri leaving the Netflix series. I sincerely hope Liam Hemsworth will play his role well and it goes on to be just as successful. Good luck and i hope you enjoy this amazing game at least as much as i did! 🍻🙏
Back for another viewing of all your Witcher 3 video's, thanks to the next gen upgrade coming 12/14 - I've never played through the DLC and once I heard this was coming, I continued to hold off so I can experience it ALL in 60fps on my PS5. Thanks again for all your efforts, these videos must have been a tremendous labor of love :)
What a way to experience the DLC's for the 1st time, next-gen update + PS5! Very wise to wait until now 👍 Thanks for the feedback and for you continued support :) 🙏
Glad you made a new guide post season 2. Smart move! Your witcher 3 and god of war guides really helped me out, and your manner of speaking makes the guides ideal as an informative podcast while I'm doing other things. Thanks so much dude. You're the man.
You're so welcome Ben! Glad to hear my guides have been helpful for you, really appreciate your feedback and support 🙏 Thanks for watching and enjoy the game :) 🍻
this is the third time I begin a play through, I don’t think I ever got past level 20 because i keep resetting. So I’m looking for as much help I can get through these videos. The amount of effort you put into your craft is unreal, you’re awesome man 🔥😤 subbed so quick
This is such an amazing video. Even I, whose beat the game twice now completely, learned a few things (: hope you get some more subs soon!! Congrats and tyvm for all the info.
Very very well done work and properly detailed and edited. I'm starting a new game with Enhanced Edition + EE Redux mods ; they need their own begginer's guide :))
Really appreciate the positive feedback, thank you! 🙏 Hope you enjoy your next Enhanced Edition play through, some of the best improvements to the game for experienced players 🍻 Thanks for the new video idea, noted ;) 👌
If you are new and wonder if it's worth it to spend 1h on this guide video before starting, I'd say absolutely. RPG game like the witcher can be quite overwhelming in the beginning, thus scaring newcomers away. Once you grasp the basic, they all work together like a well oiled machine and you be hooked. Cheer to this man for making such an incredible guide!
Just picked W3 up yesterday, this video feels like the long abolished guide book that used to come with games. Thanks so much, excited to finally dig in!
Amazing guide. Well laid out. I'm on my first play through at level 18 about to head to Skellige. I've seen/read many guides and there is still info in this video I didn't know.
Just started my first ever playthrough on Xbox. Thanks for a great job explaining the inventory an inventory management. I have a lot more confidence now to take on this beast, even though I am starting on an easier difficulty level for now!
Playing this game for like the 10th time and it still feels so fresh one of the greatest games of all time. I know geralts story ended with Witcher 3 but man it would be awesome if they brought back one more journey with he legendary white wolf. Or at least do what they did in this game with ciri if they make ciri the main protagonist in the next one I hope there are times through out the story we get to be geralt again like we got to play as ciri in the wild hunt.
It just doesnt age, and with CDPR spending an extra 6 months on the next gen update, it will become immortal lol 👍 Its guaranteed, Geralt will make some form of appearance in the next game, they know its what all the fans want. Although I think he should always be the main protagonist, as i just cant see another lead bettering him, ever. But if anyone can pull it off, it wil be CDPR themselves.
You speak the truth good sir. And yes I agree geralt should always be the main protagonist and I hope they do decide to use him again especially after the success of the Netflix series. I would be ok with ciri taking over but all and all I wanna see another geralt story
I dont think there would be another game in the history of gaming id want to see more, than another colossal Geralt adventure! Lets hope he somehow plays a satisfying piece of the Witcher 4 story. 👍
I just beat the game for the first time a month ago so im new but i love the game and want to try NG+... but why people keep saying that with how the game ends Geralt is done? The ending i got he just went on his way, he has the Winery / Plantation but he doesnt stop being a Witcher, i guess its the ending u choose. I dont think Ciri would make a good character, yeah shes a great character but she is OP with controll over her powers it wouldnt be that great to play as her fulltime. I think in the next game they should either have Geralt as the main character again or make it where something happens and a mage or somebody makes new witcher, so u start of making ur own custom witcher character. Which CDPR actually planned for the Witcher 1 but due to technology limitations at the time they chose to bring back Geralt and continue the story from the books with him. Edit: i would prefer tho they just continue with Geralt.
@@jethrodark2372 I would rather continue with geralt as well. But it's CDPR that said the Witcher 3 was the end of geralts journey cause the games pick up after the books as you know. But they prolly didn't plan on the wild hunt being as successful as it was and the Witcher becoming more successful with the Netflix adaption so I got a good feeling we will gat another story with geralt plus he is only like 90 to 100 years old but still much younger then vessimir who kept hunting so I don't get why his journey would end either
This is awesome! However, don't forget that Misc and Junk items can significantly burden your inventory as well, bit only Armor, weapons and horse equipment. If you find yourself overburdened, maybe sell some of those worn pelts you don't remember you ever looted
Exact same boat... Put it down a good while ago but now that I've watched the Netflix series, I have a new fire burning from under me - these videos are so helpful.
I finished it by rushing through the story. I’m gonna play it again and then tackle the dlc’s I never got around to. There are so many monsters and quests that I never did so I’m excited
Just finished Kingdom come deliverance and was looking for a similar game. Am struggling to understand the basics ,too much to learn. This video is all I needed,is absolutely fantastic!! Great job!! I Will check your other videos. Thanks so much. ❤. Subscribed 😊
Yeah its like a secret magic formula CDPR concocted with this gem, every element feels right, which is so rare in gaming these days. Even with the WItcher 2 they produced something way ahead of its time, still good to play now. Cant wait for the Witcher 4, im sure it will blow our minds! 💯
You're most welcome Justin! So glad to hear my guides have been helpful for you 🙏 The amazing world of the Witcher will only go from strength to strength, and the Witcher 3 is a timeless masterpiece. Thanks for watching and enjoy :) 🙏
I'm new too the game, had only gamed 4th time now. Amazing guide, I wish I have seen yours & Neon Knight - The BEST Build for Every Witcher Armor! before I started the game. When I start new character I will know in future what too do 🙂👍 There one thing u missed (I don't know how important it's) in start of the game close the camp with his mentor, there is one glass skull, I didn't know about it but I going anyway restart my game as I'm just have easy difficulties and regret it. It something with Yennifer and extra quest, not sure. Amazing, I was so unsure what perk/abilities too level up for future focus till u showed the "potion of clearance" 👍👍👍 There question I appreciate if u can help or other here: ..Acquired Tolerance - even I discovered formulas before, it will give me bonus too toxicity tolerance (the once I already know) or I need pick early on for each formulas I encounter in future? .When it's time to decide what focus of style e.g. Cat, griffin etc? Any recommendation after specific quest or level reached? .I'm starting using Xbox controller on PC, I can't change sensitive in-game, did I miss something or I need download e.g. xbox app on PC? .Any other good recommendation mods beside Better Icons 2020 v2.0, anything that don't alter the difficulties e.g. weight capacity. More faster quickswap option or better UI/hud for worldmap there it show check mark completed or not. Again amazing guide I wish I had seen this and Neon b4 I started. Sincerely
So the last time my daughter and I got to play a game was when ps1 first came out she was in single digits, We will always have Devil may cry. So we just brought the Witcher complete edition as a birthday celebration and thanx to your detailed explanations, we are in better shape than when we first started. can u tell me how to `pin formulae and diagrams` that also be helpfull
Thanks for the guide. I'm totally new to the game and the amount of stuff one needs to know is intimidating. What is the white bar above the main health bar?
So many things to take into consideration.. best game ever made imo. Put about 500hours into this game and I’m still learning to this day. What a game!
Yeah i do, both graphics as well as QoL and others such as updated face for Geralt etc, although graphics mods will now mostly be redundant now next gen is here. The main QoL ones are auto apply oils, no fall damage, unlimited oxygen, fast travel from anywhere, indestructible items, infinite roach stamina, and the unlimited inventory space. 👍
Amazing vid , I have been struggling with swapping the quick use inventory items and finally gave up. Your video was helpful keep up the good work subscribing
its kinda crazy how much there is to know about this game ive personally player threw this game 3 time inclute the DLs and each time i learn so much about the game
Awesome guide. Recommendation for your next one: NG+ preparation. I am sure it will be spectacular. Lost a few hours on youtube putting things together from various "guides".
Thanks Cristian :) When you get the time, just drop them in a Newly created comment here so i see them. Of course If i use any Ill give you a shout out 👌
Wanted to add! I know some may already know BUT!!! If you're in need of money for whatever reason instead of restarting right away in NGP , you can do the Pig Skin and Pork farm in White Orchid! THEN sell to the PASSIFLORA until she runs out of money then just meditate until she refunds her Crowns. It can get mindless ;however, I usually turn all volume down and put something in the background like Netflix or TH-cam while I farm. You can actually this at the start of a New Game, sell to (most) merchants in White Orchid and buy almost everything you need in the beginning !!! HOPE THIS HELPS!!!!
I just picked up the game on sale yesterday and started playing. Having a blast (the movement and camera is a bit wonky on xbox, but I'm getting used to it. Wish I could zoom out though...). Your videos are very helpful. Best Witcher content I came across on TH-cam :)
On the main menu, If you go to Options, then Gameplay, there's a slider named 'Movement Response'. You can change this from Standard to Alternative. Maybe try the option which isnt selected and see if that helps? The horse controls deifnitely need improving in tight spaces though, so make sure to only use the horse in larger open spaces and for covering longer distances. Thanks for watching, good luck and enjoy the game :) 🍻
@@GamerGrade thank you :) I use Advanced movement and I'm geting used to it and I already learned about Roach being useless outside of wide open areas, but I like to explore on foot anyway so I don't mind. What I'd really need now is a "Velen Survival guide". Velen is kinda hard at the beginning... I'm getting along as I made my way to Novigrad and now just simply follow the main quest and some sidequests around my Level, ignoring all the much higher Level quests I have picked up, but it can all be a bit confusing. I'm sure a beginners Velen guide of where to go first or what to do first upon arrival could help a lot of people. Trying to chase that Griffin gear.. not a good idea and I have no clue why the game threw all the Improved Ursine schematics at me when I don't even have the basic ones this early in the game. This doesn't seem to make a lot of sense... Still, great game, I very much enjoy it :)
Yeah it can be confusing at first. Here's a map which may help a bit which gives you the general level of each area in Velen: guides.gamepressure.com/thewitcher3/guide.asp?ID=30692 However at the very north end of Velen there's some much higher level enemies (30+) which should be avoided until later. Exploration, story and questing should be a top priority on your first play through, so focus on those. Regarding the Witcher gear you can gradually build the pieces over time, rather than feeling like you have to build the whole set at once. Later on when you're a much higher level and have access to many more materials, coin, and crafters, you can come back and complete the set(s) if you wanted to. Enjoy :)
I got this game last year because goty was on sale for really cheap. Never really played it until yesterday and now I'm at work watching hours worth of videos for this game. I can't wait to deep dive into it
You're in for an amazing experience for several weeks! Make sure to take your time and explore every corner of the map. Btw you must have a very slack boss! 🍻
@@GamerGrade seriously though i am impressed by these videos you make and they are super helpful Jay, if only i knew this stuff the first time. I opted to play the game again without the new game+ perk after i finished season 2 of the Netflix show. What do you think of the show? I dig it, seems like Geralt is a secondary character but other than that its great
Yeah the same was true for all of us the first time we played, it was all about story and questing, which it does so well. Only during subsequent play throughs did we realise how deep the game goes. 💯 Yes i did enjoy the Netflix series, a lot. Although Im a bit mixed on some of the actors and how they portray the characters, but they 100% nailed it with Geralt and Ciri which is the most important thing. As you mentioned, shame Geralt doesnt play more centre stage fighting monsters every episode, as for me he IS what makes the witcher so good 👍
I kinda gave up on it. Stories were great but inventory management was kind of a nightmare. I had no idea what to keep or what any of the random crap does. Combat is rough. Was thinking of giving it another go though. Thanks.
Yeah on your first play id highly recommend primarily focusing on story and questing, then over time everything else will fall into place. Dedcaite your time to exploration, immersion, and simply equipping the best swords and armor that you find in the environment, thats it. If you stick to that then i guarantee you'll enjoy the game much more. YOu can worry about the unnecessary details later! Enjoy 🍻
I am gonna try this game for the third time now. I didn't enjoy the game as much as I wanted to the last few times, but hopefully I will this time. This game looks so good.
The next-gen update for PS5, XBOX Series X and PC for this game will be released soon, should be this year, so for the best experience id recommend waiting until that's released, if you're playing on one of those platforms. 👍
((Org Witcher 3) I haven't play the upgrade yet.) If you use igni don't continue to attack, it stops the burn. Wait until they stop burning, then burn them again. Generally, from memory by the time igni is ready again, the target will be close to fizzing out.

Just wanted to say that your Witcher 3 guides are awesome. The editing and visual overlays throughout are very well done. I can tell you put a lot of effort into them. Keep up the great work, it's very much appreciated!
You're most welcome! Thanks so much for the feedback and your encouraging support :) 🙏
im 200 hours in the game and im still watching this 😂
A true Witcher fan can never get enough 💯
It took me over 300 hours to complete everything. Now I’m amped for NG+ but I want to wait until the next gen version.
736 hours here lol wanting to playthrough again but holding off till the ps5 upgrade releases.
Just started playing the complete edition on Xbox(never played before) and was just kind of running around not knowing what to do the first 2 hours. Awesome game and this guide will save me a ton of time learning the ropes. Great guide and you can see the time you put into it. Cheers!
You're most welcome! Thanks for the feedback and for watching :) 🙏
Hope the guide helps you enjoy this masterpiece even more 🍻
Hey! Glad to see W3 isnt dead, I play the game from the release so I can give you some "hardcore" tips I would say:
Viper School Swords, add one Devana Rune to each and 5/5 Poison Blades and you will bleed out enemies that are even 20 levels higher on highest difficulty DM (still takes time and some reflexes to beat bosses that are skulls with unknown level, but mostly time since pattern of monsters are just joke in W3)
Arachas Decoction with Protective Coating 5/5 will reduce damage you take by 50-75% combined no matter of your armor.
(You can even get Euphoria)
Get Ofieri Saddlebags at the start of the game, just beat the Ofieri trader in a race, can be achieved with starting horse gear.
(For max damage)
Critical Damage is the only stat you should care for late game.
Forktail Decoction is filler for Euphoria as fifth decoction active at the same time, before u use it, drink Tawny Owl and wait, then use Water Hag, Ekimmara, Arachas, Doppler or Succubus, (Tawny Owl at Night) and Forktail Decoction - Max Euphoria with Stamina Regeneration until u meditate (Which isnt needed, you basicly oneshot everything, unlimited health, life-steal, invincible)
You can spam Rend without stamina or adrenaline.
Avoid fighting monsters that share skeleton with Griffin (Basilisks etc.) on highest difficulty that are red-skull with unknown level, since their pattern is not fun to fight, its killable but takes time (Early Levels of Geralt)
Make sure you use Griffin Swords at 11, Cat 17 and finally Ursine at 20.
You can obtain Teigr (Steel, 10% Bleed) early, but hold on until you match the level with Ursine Swords, since Ursine Steel is shitty. (You can do the quests, but loot the chest at level of your choice you wish to obtain the sword)
No money? Just invest an hour of your time and loot whole Novigrad, problem solved. My last playtrough I took my time and end up with 190k crowns at level 20.
Sell all of your rune-stones, just keep devana (bleed) runes (2x), they are useless but worth a crowns.
When you hunt for specific mutagen, just save and reload until it drops from the monster. (Usually at low level, these mutagens drops from red-skull enemies)
Dont ignore oils, its pain in the ass to re-apply them again but Poisons Blades and Protective Coating are such strong talents, its not even fair.
When it comes to Human enemies, just Axii them, wait one sec to game register that they have stun status and one-shot them by execution (Level, HP - doesnt matter, Axii-Execute)
Hope some of these tips will help, its just a few lines.. there is a lot more how to dominate the Continent but that would be more pages. Have fun, experiment!
Wow thanks so much for sharing these top tips, tricks and strategies, will no doubt be helpful for many players! 🙏🍻
Of course with your username and if u ever respond u can say whether or not
Gonna play NG+ on Death March soon. You can best believe im gonna screenshot ALL of THIS😂😂✊
Great guide. Best one I’ve come across. Perfect for a returning player. Ready for next gen play through. And to experience both DLCs for the first time too 😎. Thank you.
You're most welcome! Thanks for the feedback and for watching, enjoy :) 🙏
This was probably the best guide I've ever seen. Everything was easy to follow and well structured. This is great work dude! You're so underrated idk how this doesn't have atleast a million views
Thank you so much for the supportive feedback! Really appreciate it 🙏
Glad to hear the guide was helpful for you, thanks for watching and enjoy the game :) 🍻
Amen Ibrahim!!
As always, your continued support is really appreciated 🙏
Good luck and enjoy :) 🍻
Also if u wanna make sure how to do the quest, GamerGrade also has a video for it :)
I have to say this is my favorite game and the Blood and Wine DLC?....DAMN IT GOOD!
I just have the game today!! So excited :)
Just got the game yesterday and I really wanted to thank you for this detailed and absolutely no bs guide! Amazing job!
You're most welcome! So glad to hear the guide was helpful for you, appreciate the feedback and support :) 🙏
i've been playing it for 2 playthrough maybe 100s of hours but still watching this videos as i might miss something, youve done tremendous job with editing this video mate. well done
Thanks so much for the feedback and support! So glad to hear such a guide can still be helpful for experienced players 🙏
Thanks for watching and enjoy your next play through :) 🍻
Im at 115 hours in gothic 3 and nowhere ner finishing it 😅 thought i'd give witcher 3 a try as my gf loves it and we're gonna play it side by side
For the witcher 3, it could perhaps be about
- Geralt's & other characters short backstory
- Merchants and blacksmiths
-The witcher politics in short.
- Bombs
- Potions
- Treasure hunting
Etc, etc.
Thats a great idea and one ive actually been thinking about how to implement for a while.
Ive got myself into a bad habit of having to deliver as much value per video as possible, and my wife is also telling me to break things down lol.
Much shorter videos will definitely be more of a thing on my channel in 2022 💯
I hope 2022 is a great year for you and your family Pedro, thanks again for your feedback my friend :) 🍻
Bro.... you are awesome!....
Thanks so much for your encouraging feedback and support! 🙏
Its comments like this that keep me creating :)
Enjoy the amazing game my friend 🍻
The game is absolutely incredible but sometimes it takes a bit to see it
The Series is based on the books.
the games aren't canon at all.
So don't base your opinions on them
@@dcmastermindfirst9418 *supposed to be based on the book.
especially season 2 has literally nothing to do with the books, as it has an entire different story line for no reason...
@@lhmagix873 Lol. That's bullshit.
I know 3 guys who are currently reading Last wish. That's the novel which this season was based on and they all say it follows extremely well.
Back on your bike kid.
Getting ready for my ng+ after almost 200 hours and a few years away from the game. Great refresher and learned a lot. Thanks
You're most welcome Kyle! Thanks for watching and enjoy your NG+ play through 🍻
It is so sweet that someone still care about this game and help new players. Bless you.
You are most welcome! Thanks so much for the feedback and for watching :) 🙏
My tip for playing this game is to walk everywhere and collect every plant along the way.
Great tip! Thanks for sharing 🍻
The most comprehensive Witcher guide I’ve found on TH-cam. Very helpful.
Thanks so much for the feedback Nolan! 🙏
Good luck and enjoy the game :) 🍻
Apologies for my camera, a new camera is now at the top of my priority upgrade list lol!
Wishing you all a greast Christmas and healthy New Year :) 🍻
You're the most knowledgeable YT guy on TW3! I've played TW3 All expansions but I'm waiting for the Next Gen. version so I could start from scratch on my PS5. However, I'll keep all my $$$ and gear, etc because I'll play from scratch via. New Game +. Yeah!
Thanks so much for the feedback :) 🙏
Thats a great idea, the next gen update will be epic, the perfect way to play your NG+ run! Cant wait for it to be released 💯
You guys are getting me hyped for when I get to play through again!
I Did forget to ask, do you have a Discord? where do you already have all your guides?
@@GeraltGK Hey Geralt, no i dont, but im thinking about starting one soon.
Not your newest video, but the first I’ve seen, and I immediately subscribed. I really like your format.
Thanks so much for your Sub and support! Great to have you aboard :) 🍻
You're most welcome! Thanks for the feedback and for watching, so glad to hear the video was helpful for you :) 🍻
Thank you. Had this game for a year and a half. Played for three hours, but had just finished playing Skyrim for 350 hours mostly in first person. So didn't get on so well in this and put it down. Now have the confidence to start fresh and enjoy the game. Many thanks again.
You're most welcome! Thanks for watching and enjoy the game :) 🍻
I’m just discovering your channel for the first time and I’m completely blown away by the quality of your videos. They are much like Manticore gear, nothing but Mastercrafted.
I appreciate the content, well done!
Thanks so much for your feedback and support, means a lot! 🙏
You got lucky my fellow “Witcher3” player! Jay’s gamergrade channel is peerless and the very best guide available!
Very wise to wait until now 👍
Thanks for the feedback and for you continued support :) 🙏
Glad you made a new guide post season 2. Smart move! Your witcher 3 and god of war guides really helped me out, and your manner of speaking makes the guides ideal as an informative podcast while I'm doing other things. Thanks so much dude. You're the man.

Please write a guide on how to not miss or lock out on a single quest. What are those which lock out or autofail and when? Thank you.
Noted 👌
this is the third time I begin a play through, I don’t think I ever got past level 20 because i keep resetting. So I’m looking for as much help I can get through these videos. The amount of effort you put into your craft is unreal, you’re awesome man 🔥😤 subbed so quick

Watched many guides. This by far was the easiest to follow. Done in a way that made a complicated system a lot easier to manage. Thank you.
You're most welcome and thanks for the feedback! 🙏
Thanks man i really appreciate your feedback and support! 🙏
You obviously appreciate the nuances of this timeless masterpiece :) 🍻

You're most welcome! Thanks for watching and i hope you enjoy your 1st play through as much as i did :) 🍻
Playing this game for like the 10th time and it still feels so fresh one of the greatest games of all time.
It just doesnt age, and with CDPR spending an extra 6 months on the next gen update, it will become immortal lol 👍
Its guaranteed, Geralt will make some form of appearance in the next game, they know its what all the fans want.
Thanks so much for the feedback and for watching :) 🙏
Wow thanks for the work you put into this. Ill watch while i start up Witcher 3 again. Never finished it. I think its bout that time I should.
You're most welcome! Perfect timing :) 👍
Thanks for watching, i hope the guide helps you out 🍻
Exact same boat...

Lol. Viper stuff is garbage.
Go for either the Griffin or Feline.
those are thr best and most balanced armours in the game.
I'm new too the game, had only gamed 4th time now.
Amazing guide, I wish I have seen yours & Neon Knight - The BEST Build for Every Witcher Armor! before I started the game. When I start new character I will know in future what too do 🙂👍
There one thing u missed (I don't know how important it's) in start of the game close the camp with his mentor, there is one glass skull, I didn't know about it but I going anyway restart my game as I'm just have easy difficulties and regret it. It something with Yennifer and extra quest, not sure.
Amazing, I was so unsure what perk/abilities too level up for future focus till u showed the "potion of clearance" 👍👍👍
There question I appreciate if u can help or other here:
..Acquired Tolerance - even I discovered formulas before, it will give me bonus too toxicity tolerance (the once I already know) or I need pick early on for each formulas I encounter in future?
.When it's time to decide what focus of style e.g.
Do you use other mods besides the Over 9000?
Yeah i do, both graphics as well as QoL and others such as updated face for Geralt etc, although graphics mods will now mostly be redundant now next gen is here. The main QoL ones are auto apply oils, no fall damage, unlimited oxygen, fast travel from anywhere, indestructible items, infinite roach stamina, and the unlimited inventory space. 👍
Amazing vid , I have been struggling with swapping the quick use inventory items and finally gave up. Your video was helpful keep up the good work subscribing
You're most welcome Philipa! So glad to hear the video was helpful for you 🙏

Awesome guide. Recommendation for your next one: NG+ preparation. I am sure it will be spectacular. Lost a few hours on youtube putting things together from various "guides".

Thanks for sharing this helpful tip! 👍
Best video!!
I wanted to know how is your crossbow auto aiming is it a feature i didn't know?
Thanks!
Its been a long time but try holding the button rather than tapping?
Rosemary and Thyme isn't a brother lmao💀
It's a den of pure Art as stated by Dandelion😌😌
Very helpful guide. Getting back into it after not playing for a while. Learned a lot!
Thanks so much for the feedback and for watching! 🙏
Enjoy your next play through :) 🍻
I just picked up the game on sale yesterday and started playing.
Here's a map which may help a bit which gives you the general level of each area in Velen: guides.gamepressure.com/thewitcher3/guide.asp?ID=30692
However at the very north end of Velen there's some much higher level enemies (30+) which should be avoided until later.
Enjoy :)
This guide is incredibly well done. Thank you sir
You're most welcome! Thanks for the feedback and for watching :) 🍻
Never played the game tell to day, thanks for all the good points 💯keep up the great work man.
You're most welcome Ray! Thanks for watching and enjoy the game :) 🍻
Great Video! Do you have a vide regarding the gameplay options?
Thanks for watching! Unfortunately i dont, sorry.
@@GamerGrade haha yeah, well I work overnights so I've a lot of down time

The song is from The Witcher 2 called A Nearly Peaceful Place 👍
Excellent job with this video guide! It's so helpful! Thanks for this!
You're most welcome! Thanks for the feedback and for watching :) 🙏
These are FANTASTIC Jay!!
Thanks for the feedback and for watching Chad! 🙏
Good luck and enjoy the game :) 🍻
@@GamerGrade seriously though i am impressed by these videos you make and they are super helpful Jay, if only i knew this stuff the first time. I opted to play the game again without the new game+ perk after i finished season 2 of the Netflix show. What do you think of the show? I dig it, seems like Geralt is a secondary character but other than that its great
Yeah the same was true for all of us the first time we played, it was all about story and questing, which it does so well. Only during subsequent play throughs did we realise how deep the game goes. 💯
Yes i did enjoy the Netflix series, a lot. Although Im a bit mixed on some of the actors and how they portray the characters, but they 100% nailed it with Geralt and Ciri which is the most important thing. As you mentioned, shame Geralt doesnt play more centre stage fighting monsters every episode, as for me he IS what makes the witcher so good 👍
@@GamerGrade What an AWESOME reply Jay. Glory to you and again huge shout out with gratitude for making the Witcher 3 extra wonderful.
You're most welcome Chad! As always i appreciate your feedback and support 🙏
Have a great weekend :) 🍻
Fantastic video! Thank you very much. I’m just starting the game and this helped a ton!
You are most welcome! So glad the video was helpful for you, enjoy :) 🍻
Video deserves more views than what its got. Defo subscribed 👍
Thanks Johnny really appreciate the feedback and support! 🙏
Great to have you aboard and have a fantastic New Year :) 🍻
I kinda gave up on it.
Enjoy 🍻
@@GamerGrade Having a blast. I think it got me hooked this time. I can't stop playing.
Thats awesome to hear man! :) Enjoy! 🍻
Thank you for this. I've only started this game and I think I've got tons of hours to go!
You're most welcome! Thanks for watching 🙏
Did you get the complete edition with all DLC?
I am gonna try this game for the third time now. I didn't enjoy the game as much as I wanted to the last few times, but hopefully I will this time. This game looks so good.
The next-gen update for PS5, XBOX Series X and PC for this game will be released soon, should be this year, so for the best experience id recommend waiting until that's released, if you're playing on one of those platforms. 👍
I can't wait to play this game one day! This video made me even more eager
Do you have a decent PC or current gen console? Then now is the best time to play for sure with the v4 update! 💯
@@GamerGrade I have a pretty solid PC!
Don't wait, grab it asap 👍
((Org Witcher 3) I haven't play the upgrade yet.) If you use igni don't continue to attack, it stops the burn. Wait until they stop burning, then burn them again. Generally, from memory by the time igni is ready again, the target will be close to fizzing out.
