    I love the format of this video. I love that it’s mostly uncut and we can hear you walk through what you’re doing and hear everyone’s reaction to the funny moments like when he layed down and rolled or was being really curious lol

    There are a few comments about why didn’t she do this or why didn’t she do that? If you think you have a better method than by all means use it. But she just took an unhandled horse and in less than forty minutes put a halter on it. At liberty. That’s impressive.

    Buenas tardes Sam!

    Sam, you were great as usual!!
    I sent this to my aunt to watch and she mentioned the child in the background audio. It was distracting. I wanted to hear every word coming from You.
    Maybe you could be miked-up next time? Thanks for all I've learned from you.

      The child is special needs and was there with her guardian. A mic would have still picked up noises 🙂

    What do you do with a mustang that almost immediately allows touch’s and wants to hook up with you? Do you just move through the steps quicker because the horse is willing to?

    Hi no hate or anything but is there a reason you don't use the monty roberts join up method or do you just prefer this type of method. Love your content and can't wait for the next vid😊

    • @hardluk3
      @hardluk3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That works better with horses that are already gentled. These horses only get handled to get vet care and having their feet trimmed. They are chased everywhere with flags and have a greater fear of people. They would look at being chased as a predator trying to hurt them and less than a leader establishing themselves as a leader. What she’s doing here is letting the horse know that she doesn’t know intend to eat him as predators don’t usually back away from their prey. Gradually building trust to where the horse wants to be close to the trainer because that’s a place where there is no pressure.

    Also, I thought it was extremely rude of that mother to have that child there while your trying to work!! I can’t believe he’s letting you do all of that with all the distractions!! Especially the crying !! And that was incredibly professional of you !! I would have lost it !!

      It was a special needs child.
      I like working with horses without an audience yes but the format of this clinic is to educate. I’ll come off as a mean old witch if I ask everyone to hush 😆 they were there to learn and chat. The videoing was for me and just bonus that I got to do it

    Reaching for the horse's face is a predatory move. Bad move on first contact. You need to work on your horse communication (your body language),

    You have confused that poor horse I don't even know what you want lead him in circles you lunge so he knows what you want. He smart he was standing perfect. You never stop and say good boy put the rope down be his friend get an apple damI own two mustangs 😢😮😮😢

    • @catzdollz9810
      @catzdollz9810 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Wild mustangs are not running through APPLE ORCHARDS. Most wild mustangs won't eat an Apple, they DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS!! ...AND...she's not trying to be his FRIEND. She's trying to be his LEADER first...friend LATER.

      You understand this horse has never seen handled? When she walked away she was rewarding the horse by removing the pressure. She got what she wanted, he learned that if he faced her and was near her the pressure would go away. Lunging a horse at this point is only chasing the horse and the horse already knows how to run from pressure what she is doing is teaching it to face the pressure and the pressure will go away. I’ve gentled two myself and I wish it was as easy as she makes it look. She just took an unhandled horse and put a halter on it (at liberty) in under 40 minutes. You can argue the method all you want, but you can’t argue the result.
