    Diplomacy and flag bearing of the Country is to be managed at all levels. Every Indian becomes a diplomat of the Country when he steps out of his Country or when he interacts with foreigners. Students, particularly IITans who are more likely to step out of the country for higher studies or jobs, will do well to remember this. It is critical to remember that the behaviour of a countrymen creates the perception about their country. I wish the Minister had spoken about this in his address to the students, in his otherwise engaging interaction.

    A lot can be done by IIT innovation -- But no one is interested in . Everyone is interested in minting money in million dollars
    1. Low cost modular house - Innovation in housing construction sector -- By civil Engineering
    2. Low cost high quality long lasting Road construction using recycled material by - Civil engineering
    3. Low cost portable toilet on wheels with immediate cleaning system by Environment engineering dept - eleminating highly inefficient municipal drainage system
    4. Low cost electric bikes and cars from Automobile engineering
    5. Low cost house on wheels for construction labors who are moving from one place to another
    6. Low cost natural sand filter for drinking water from Chemical engineering
    7.. A fool proof election system using high tech digital technology by Computers and Electronics engineering
    8. A simple and understandable manner de-bundle Indian Constitution by Law department
    in 1960s.. Swaminathan gave us Green Revolution and Mr. Kurian gave us White revolution -- In 2000's Nandan Nilekani gave us Digital revolution through UPI and Aadhaar .. But for few examples here and there there is no much contribution ot IITicians to Indian problem and resolution ..

    90 % IITicians go and settle in west and take that country citizenship. It has almost become INDIA's responsibility to generate human capital to the west.. Govt of India spends Rs 8 lakhs per student per year in IIT so that those student go to west and leave our country citizenship . Its OK to develop Brand INDIA ,, but that should help country India at least in the long run .. I do not see that is happening.

    • @kibhee6080
      @kibhee6080 ปีที่แล้ว

      That happens because of how out monetary policy and debt are structured. We have US $ as a reserve currency, and that means we have no control of our own currency being influenced by the federal reserve. The state government debt also creates a burden to service debts which shoots the price of tangible assets like real estate. This is why it's getting difficult day by day to live comfortably in India. The US $, debt coupled with RBI decision to print more INR created further inflation. The human capital is also a form of capital and looks for returns and West , US in particular rewards them. You want to get things right, get rid of USD and get back to gold standard. Then again , you need face the opposition from IT and manufacturing lobby who don't like stronger INR as it hurts their pockets and not to mention the wrath of Fed which is sanctions from US federal government.

    India created IITs, but what this expert manpower will do, was not thought about. Result- they went abroad as there was no opportunity here. So we spent resources to create such entity, but couldn't use. Biggest flaw and shows short-sightedness of our past leaders - including Nehru.

    The primary reason for Sri Lanka getting into a Chinese debt trap is the failure of Indian diplomacy. Siri Lanka took debt for constructing a deep sea port in Himintota so that transhipment of cargo to shallower Indian ports could be jacked up. But Modi jee banned transhipments making the port financially unviable. No Indian diplomate told Modi jee that this ban would become a security risk which it has become. As today Chinese naval ships frequently dock at Himintota port as they have leased it for 99 years
