@@jacobobos you can literally survive with almost anything in this game as long as you level up fast enough to upgrade, its not a hard game. I dunno why people pretend it is
Hey DangerouslyFunny, I wanted to help be another voice letting you know this delicious nugget of Knowledge! Experience Gems that go off screen are coalesced into a single Red experience gem. This Red gem also forms if you have more than 80(?) experience gems on the ground, gathering up all the experience so that way your computer doesn't melt with the amount of gems on the ground! So if it seems like things have stopped dropping experience gems, it's because there's one of these "pool" gems somewhere probably close to the edge of the screen, and it will "follow" you just off screen wherever you go. It's why sometimes you pick up a gem and get like 3+ levels from it. Just wanted to help ya out!
Man it sounds like your voice was going out for a little there, don’t be afraid to take a break you do this every day for months at a time. Your health is important
It is interesting to see how much of a consistent formula this channel has. Not only in the incredibly consistent upload schedule but also in the editing approach. The background music, the sound effects, the use of quick cutaways to movie and television to highlight jokes, the visual effects and zoom, etc. It all comes together in a way that means even though this is a variety channel that shifts games frequently, there is a consistent feel. It is like the expression of a form of DangerouslyFunny brand. It is a pretty smart approach to making TH-cam videos. Good job, DF and the editor. Very well done. Very smart.
I was really sad when you stopped playing vampire survivors and I'm glad to see you back at it! I'm now close to 500 hours in 3 months and I can't stop xDD best $3 investment To the video: no real advise to give here, I'd say unlock a big further into the game. A LOT was added
I find taking one of the options that helps gather more gems to be nearly a necessity, especially in the harder challenges. So either the attract orb power, or even better, the evolved pentagram. If you use the vampire character who gets weapon cooldown with leveling, a full level empty tome, and have the cooldown upgrades you can buy with gold, the evolved pentagram fires about twice every minute. It's insane.
My problem is the pentagram deletes everything, including chests on screen (except for the rare interval bosses on some maps). So it can be a pain in the ass to get it upgraded if you're not lucky enough to get them fairly repeatedly at level ups
@@ObservationofLimits If you're building luck at the same time it tends to help, I find. Not only does it improve the pentagram's chance of not deleting things, but getting 4 selections instead of 3 on level up increases your odds of being able to level up the pentagram faster.
DF: I'm going to base my entire build off of the ultimate form of the two birds Also DF: I'm never, ever going to upgrade my 2 birds so I never get the ultimate form of them ever.
Yep, the cross upgrade is still a death sentence. After losing the crosses that were keeping his nearby area clear... Even DF realized he was suddenly in alot worse of a situation.
They need to make it so the sword keeps it's multiplier, as it stands, upgrading the cross is a straight downgrade from going from five+ crosses to one sword.
@@tommenno It would also be cool if they made it fly across the screen from wherever like it does, but once it's at the closest point to you that its path takes it to, it orbits around you once (a full 360°) before resuming its initial path again or something. Just to give it a bit more utility than simply being another piercing straight-line projectile.
Its really only a downgrade regarding the area it covers. If your primary path clearing weapon is only the crosses, once it upgrades the sword is flying around the screen, not directly infront of you and a straight line behind you. If you already have an upgraded whip, or even axes, you'll notice the lack of direct path clearing damage, but not get screwed by losing your short range weapon. Even an occasional "360°" around the player wouldn't cover you if it was your primary defenisive weapon. A quick fix of sorts would just be limiting how far it gets from you, or maybe even NOT reseting the number of projectiles to one if its going to be flying around the room. As is, your best bet is to just not take its upgrade item and keep it as normal cross. As I was saying, while the actual dps does go up, its the drastic change in effected area that kills you. Guess they could give crosses the same flight pattern as the sword, then you couldn't ever get dependant on it as a close range path clearing weapon, but as is the "upgrade" is practically a death sentence if you haven't already planned for it to screw you.
some advice if u want it (Not intended as backseating, its really fun to watch u play take this with a grain of salt if you like :D) 1 - go full evolutions (not all evos are equal but if you have all evos ur usually gonna have some good ones) - I usually try to plan a build, since upgrades that help 1 type of weapon dont always help another type - Some examples are going a king bible build with knives for the bracer (projectile speed helps both) then lighting ring + duplicator and other things that help projectiles etc. I also try to keep in mind what type of damage my stuff is doing, if it all long range then keeping the space in front of you clear can be hard so having 1 weapon thats really good up close can be very helpful if you are struggling to make space. 2 - go hard on exp early as it makes everything else easier. i dont know what unlocks you have but if you have some regen/armour you can be pretty aggressive early on, the harder levels can be more difficult to do this on but if you get behind early it can be hard to keep up 3. chests after 10 mins will always contain an evolution item if you meet its requirements - eg fully leveled item (technically now you can get cards in the new update but other than that.) I generally will wait on using my 10mins + later chests till i have an evolution, if you are having a weak run you might have to grab a chest without an evo. 4. there is a gem limit - once a certain number of gems are on screen they will begin to all pool into a 'super gem' (these look exactly the same as the normal red gems but can store any amount of exp) this also happens when you walk far away from exp. Once you are in the mid levels with some evolutions you can just stand and wait then colllect all the exp (its sometimes off screen but its never hard to find). or if you have a attractorb pickup on the floor you can use that to bring the super gem to you after you have built it up. 5. pay attention to what the character you picked does. they have their own stat buffs and some of them are 'build arounds' wheras others are less important to think about. if you think the ability seems strong try to build items than synergise with it. - you have very few characters unlocked but there are some really fun ones :D 6. if you are finding getting to the green arrows/other secrets hard you probably need more upgrades. IMO the easiest way to farm gold is on the inlaid library, since the enemies only come from the left and right its very easy to control them all. (when farming for money the best source is levels once you have all your stuff bought + chests so taking things like the peachone/ebony upgrade and the other double upgrade that you havent seen yet will lose you money) - a really easy strat is grab garlic for the early game because you can literally run into the enemies (it does make your late game weaker though but it shouldnt be an issue on the library) 7. the game files are super easy to edit, there are some secret characters and as a content creator you might just want to edit in some money/unlocks to save time. either way deffo check out the secret characters :D
Hey DF, you're missing out on a ton of stuff. Green arrows are important, permanent upgrades. There are also items on most maps, and the Dairy Farm has a candlabradour and a few other items that you can pick up so you can pick others through leveling up, then get those and for that particular map carry 10 accessories at once (you're normally capped at 6, but if you pick one up on the map when you hit 6 it goes into an extra slot).
The first time you played this game i also Just installed it. Now i have played like 50 hours and have everything unlocked, even the secret characters and such. Feels so different watching you know while you have basically the same knowledge of the game as the previous video.
Fun fact, weapons get forced evolved on the Dairy Plant map if you have the max weapon and level one of the accessory required regardless of the time So if you go for maxed out crown main menu power up you can get strong rq
Projectile speed benefits weapons with projectile lifetime, since they tend to stay in screen and faster speed lets them cover more area within their lifetime. Runetracer, Bone, Cherry Bomb, cart thingy, cat thingy. Bible and its evo especially benefits well as projectile speed directly corresponds to hits per second against specific enemy. Penetrating projectile weapons on the other hand, such as Axe evo or Fire Wand evo, actually perform worse as projectile speed increases because they fly off and despawn offscreen faster. Tried Exdash deceleration build with it, but Exdash's generally abysmal performance makes it kinda hard to clear Curse 5 Dairy Plant.
Can you try an "early" build? I would recommend going with Poe (The Old Man) and getting the fire wand, magic wand, axe, whip, and knife along with their respective buff items and ultamite upgrades. Will not kill the reaper, but would be a fun current take on the classic build.
I got a few good combo (upgrade is implied) Garlic, Bible, whip, santa water, wand, fire wand. I call this the "Unholy Trinity". Concentrate on Garlic and bible then you have an near impenetrable zone. the guns, the birds, Lightning Ring, Runetracer. I call this the "John Woo". Concentrate on the guns and birds then you can add two more items.
for a truley op run go for evloved runtracer/evolved santa water/evolved guns/clock lancet bracer/candle/empty tome/spinach. you can only max out skills to its intended maximum level. you can pick up more than 12 items by collecting those on the map after youve filled your slots.

@@satanasteguarda thats the thing, you never really give a damn about the first version, but santa water's upgrade is literally busted and can essentially solo the reaper if everything is done right
So, with the upgrades that show on the map, they can be collected *in addition to* the upgrades you get from leveling up. What that means is that you can end up with *more* than the six passive items, so long as you never select map upgrades when leveling up. For example, on this level you can see Candelabrador, Wings, and Armour are map upgrades. If you select six completely different items during level up, you would then be able to collect the map upgrades on top of those. If you collect a map upgrade before filling out all six item slots, that map upgrade would just take one of the six item slots. If you were to select any of those map upgrades during a level up, it would have basically the same effect.
As a hint for you Evolve chests only drop after the 10 minute mark, so going for evolves early help a lot. Also once you get Crown unlocked you can go for Gourgous Moon which is an Evolved Pentagram that creates and sucks in all Exp gems on screen. It's a very good way to get high level runs and one of the best strategies in the game
You actually don't lose any Gems, the game just condenses them into a Red Gem. Not to mention the attraction item you get appears usually after a certain amount of EXP lands on the ground.

Little do you know the editor is the one pulling the strings and it's all an ACT
Dude, prime uploads every time. Love it! Missed this game too.
Df got anime mc plot armor at the last second XD.
If you go far enough away from experience when there is a lot, eventually it will turn in one red gem once you go back towards it.
Lol DF is just making these games even more popular so more ppl try it, he is part of the gaming advertisement authority XD..
I raised my arms to the sky and sent all my energy to you
I have been playing this game everything there's an update and I still can't enough of it from DF :)
Santa Water's ultimate is actually really good
Oh heck yeah, he’s played this. It’s one of my favorite games tbh. Never knew I’d get so much mileage out of a 3$ game.
Oh yeah also on the base map, theirs a ??? unlockable that gives a really op character that I think you would love to play (grab tiramisu when you play him)
I rlly love this game and you making more just makes me smile
DF found the map! Maybe it will lead to more floor chicken!
YES I MISSED seeing Df playing this
