- In this episode of Wandering Wagners, we traveled to a new Ohio State Park for us, Kiser Lake!
A Rare Site happened while at Kiser Lake, Mike Cooked?! Also, We gave an update to the Micro-Air Easy Touch RV Thermostat.
This site opened up last minute so we decided to take it since it is a park we haven't visited yet. It was a pull-thru no less!
Kiser Lake State Park is a very small park but it has a big lake. The lake is restricted to no engines/motors on it at all so it is perfect for canoe/kayaking and paddle boarding let alone fishing!
There is also a swimming beach and some hiking trails.
We were able to put our new Micro-Air Easy Touch RV Thermostat to use! It worked great and we were able to monitor and change the temp and turn it on/off while we were away from the Super C!
Later I went swimming at the campground beach! I decided it was about time i actually tried a beach. I wasn't bad, but it was pretty busy (which isn't bad). It was cool water that really was refreshing!
Next we grilled some dinner and talked about our grill which is a Q1200 and we've had it for several years and it has stood the test of time! We use it heavily, year round and it has yet to fail is.

Kiser Lake is a nice little park. It actually has nice horseback riding trails. It is only 25 min from my house. Great videos!
It was a nice small park. We enjoyed it, good place to relax as long as it's not too busy
Great video of Kiser Lake. I grew up on this lake and started my State Park career there as a lifeguard. Sailboat racing was my favorite summer activity. We will be camping there in a few weeks. Those artesian wells are still pure to consume from too. Oh, I pick beach over hot tub.

Interesting about the well because I wondered that myself. I did see people filling water containers there but there was no signage about it, like there are at the other water stations in the park so thanks for the info!

Wow 74 degree's in June, would love that, it's 94 here in East TN this week, if you look out the window you break out in a sweat. You go Mike, using the oven is cooking, he may be a closet chef just waiting to bust out, and what, no rain, geez whats wrong!
It rained off and on the entire day we got there, so no worries haha

Right up the road from me! Kiser is nice and quiet but the water had algae issues in the past couple years. I highly recommend kayaking the lake. The marathon is a convenient quick grab spot. Glad you guys got a spot!

Looks like a good little park . It’s actually been cooler up here in the northeast and camping been great . We tried the pie and we like the peach cherry and cherry cream cheese those are awesome. Have fun guys 👍🏻🇺🇸

Used to fish that lake a lot at night. Saturday nights you can hear racing from the Shady Bowl Racetrack. Never had a chance to camp there but that may change soon. My Son lives close to there. Thanks for sharing.

That pizza probably counts as cooking for Mike. I used to go tent winter camping with a small woodstove in the tent and it was fun unless we got buried by a storm, then it was work to get back out. Be safe.

I could hear the sizzle when you entered the lake...but when I saw a blue item on the picnic bench I really stopped, backed up and forwarded many times because I loved the Flexit top.. especially the L and T... really makes it pop.. whomever named the company FLEXIT had great insight. Mike once again your skills as a videographer was very evident even through the evening chill. Thank you both for sharing this amazing camp ground with us. Can't wait to see more! loved the lake production... well thought out...caught the sun light perfectly. I tried to get a feel for how cold the water actually was, but could not see or feel the temp.. either way it had to be a refreshing dip! Now for next week... hmmmm

No we haven't been there. We tend not to frequent places without websites etc because we l feel like they don't want new people to visit😂 they just want seasonal and regulars🤷🏼♀️
We are camping at Kiser Lake in August. Going down for the Tour de Donut bike race and plan on kayaking there as well.

Look a little closer at that app it should say a “ FEELS LIKE TEMP” on it as well . 76 with 74% hum could feel like 85 so it’s HOT.
That's so true! The first day it said 100% humidity and 75% second day. Sticky!
The humidity will do it to you. I suspect the dogs prefer the cooler weather too. As for Mike's cooking, I'm not sure which is harder, throwing a frozen pizza in the microwave or boiling water. I suppose they both qualify as introductory steps to cooking.😉

He did good! I cut that part out because it's hard to mess up frozen pizza and I showed the final product lol

One other comment about the Hot tub or the beach, We in SC constantly have 90 plus degree and 85 to 90 humidity so the hot tub is terrible.
Valid point. Ours is inside so it is temp regulated inside. I know people who use them in Summer but just keep the temp low so it's like a warm pool

A frozen pizza is not cooking! There's not even any ingredients, you just take the pizza out of the plastic and put it in the oven. Come on Mike surely you can do better than frozen pizza. Don't let Lynn show you up. Seriously cooking is not that hard, it's just following directions. Hot tub wins over any beach except you can go fishing at the beach. Keep the good stuff coming guys.
