Like Leaves We’ll Fall has to be one of the prettiest and most popular tags in recent memory! Jake Tickner from The Newfangled Four wrote this beautiful tag and I'm so honored to sing it. As I was preparing to record it, I was thinking of the context of it. What would happen before it starts? So I decided to write a couple phrases before the tag! It's so subtle, I usually only hear notes that high sung to flex their range, but this doesn't feel showy at all. It just feels... Right

There's always this indescribable feeling I get from hearing the second to last note, and knowing how buttery smooth the last note is gonna sound.

I am in love with this tag. My group sings it all the time. Any time we find a nice open room with good acoustics this is the one we hit 'em with. Beautiful job. I love the first part I think it really helps to add that bit of satisfying resolve when it does get to the end. Bravo Tim!!

My dad was semi-old-school when it came to arrangements, but I'm sure he would have done nothing short of what I've been doing for the past 5 mins...replaying and wiping tears away while smiling. I'm not as familiar with the jargon of chord names, but the resolution of the next-to-last LOVE is nothing short of tear-inducing happiness. Keep 'em coming...i can always buy more Kleenex.

Thanks so much! I do my best to tune things according to just intonation. So the 3rd being about 14 cents flat, and an even flatter dominant 7th. However, I try to use my ears to do this instead of relying on technology to tell me. The goal of course is a resonant and expanded sound!

Someday I'd like to duet this and add a Bass 3 harmony, how do people usually do that? Is there a specific plugin that helps it blend with the original video or is it just about how you sing it? I have tried to record acapella harmonies myself before and can never quite get the lines to mesh no matter how well in tune I'm able to get it.

I'm not someone who replies to get likes, loves, and/or replies, but I noticed something so inconspicuous that it turned on the waterworks immediately. Start at 0:35 and watch Baritone Tim. At thirty-eight seconds, Tim turns into this little sixth-grade boy that is kicking at the stones on the ground, telling his grade school sweetheart that he loves her. This entire performance is cahoots of with a sheepish grin and a gentle shoulder shrug fit good measure. It's these little nuances that separate the Tim Ws from the list of world-class performers and performances. Watch that five-second segment a few times, and if it didn't at least masks you smile in remembrance of YOUR gradeschool crush, I'm not sure what will.
