I remember sitting with my wife in the restaurant on the same square where the Crucible is situated right after that crazy semifinal between Stuart and Judd Trump. (I still remember that tremendous 3 ball plant along the cushion that brought Stuart victory). All the people in the restaurant off course were talking about snooker. And suddenly, half an hour after the end of a game, Stuart and his family come in. And everyone in the restaurant started applauding! I remember Stuart smiling and turning red, because probably he didn’t expect that. And my other memory of that moment is Stuart’s lovely little son (4-6 years of age) with a toy cue in his hand very proud of his father! By the way, it was my first and only visit to Crucible to see snooker. I came from russia to fulfill my child dream and watch snooker live. And to meet my hero Steve Davis. I remember seeing Stephen Hendry in the hotel lobby, John Parrot during the breakfast. Together with my wife we had a glass of wine with Ken Doherty and Willie Thorn. And finally we had the great luck to see the final session between Stuart and Judd when it finished 17-16 sitting in the second row That was the trip of my life! P.S. Our VIP tickets to the semifinal included 5 pounds BETFRED tickets ))) I could bet them inside the Crucible before the final session. But there were so many people there that it was impossible to make a bet. And also, i never bet before so i didn’t really know how to do that. So we got into the main hall and started watching the game without bets. Stuart was winning 16-13 and needed only 1 frame to win, when Judd made 3 centuries in a row. And they both went to the toilet before the final frame. I jumped out of my seat, said to my wife to stay cool and ran to the hall to a BETFRED deck. I said that i want to bet on Stuart. The woman at the deck told me that i will only win 10 pounds, so i said that i bet on Stuart to win the title and ran back to my place. In few days in London i got my prize. It was 25+ pounds))))
No wonder he's got his snooker room dedicated to his greatest achievement, he worked so hard for that for so long. Nobody can ever take it away from him. He won that title during a really awful time in my life and honestly, watching him winning the final, lifting the trophy, 'winner winner chicken dinner' and all that - gave me so much inspiration to keep my head down and keep working on getting well again. Now come on Stuart, go and get yourself that triple crown logo on the waistcoat! 😀 Great work as always Stephen, thanks for sharing these chats and frames with us.
I'm shaking my head at the previous comment, they used to say 'there's always going to one', but these days everyone is is 'one', lol. But yeah, I'm glad you pushed on through. As a snooker fan, Bingham holds a special place in my heart; he has that indomitable spirit that I respect.
What I love about Stuart the most, apart from his top class snooker, is that he always got a smile on his face, especially during matches.. great fela ❤
It's been a delight to see Steven interview all these top players I've watched for years and learn that they're all decent down-to-Earth people, which isn't something you find in most sports.
I've watched a lot of snooker in my life, which was hard to do in Canada for so long, but never have I ever been so entertained as I was by this production. Stephen and Stuart were both so unassuming, charming, and entertaining that I could not wipe the smile from my face from start to finish. Thanks both of you.
@@chakko007 It's easy to assume all sort of beliefs about someone from just seeing them on TV - usually always wrong! This kind of content is great for showing that private side.
I love these episodes, getting to see the real character of the players... it makes watching the old highlights and any live matches so much more engaging, feeling like you "know" the players
Love the little stories and insight into their earlier careers , and the paths they've took and the people they've met as they built their earlier snooker careers
My favourite channel on TH-cam atm from my favourite snooker player of all time. Keep em coming Stephen, absolutely quality content. Bingham seems like a top bloke!
Delightful. So relatively tough keeping in the loop on snooker in Canada. Used to get up at 2am to sneak out to the TV to watch Davis and Hendry when I was a kid.
Fabulous guy is Stuart, had the pleasure of playing him in a few exhibitions .. hope he can find some form for the Worlds as his break building is phenomenal .. almost up there with the great S.H 😉… fab interview!
No words for how enlightening, engaging and enjoyable this was for me. For a genuine World champion to be so open about his own experiences, not having his confidence against very talented plyers who didn't end up winning their World titles, in the same era as the Snooker's tennis (O'sullivan, Williams & Higgins)... what a period to go through and he did it. Amazing!
Great episode Stephen, What a free flowing conversation !. Stuart is such a down to earth fella , I met him once at the World Championships & he was so open and happy to have a chat. Ronnie next PLEASE !!!!!!!!!!.
Your channel is good for the game of snooker. Fun to watch you play and talk about the game. Getting to hear you and your guests talking about their favourite thing in the world to do is a treat. Thanks from Nova Scotia!!
If you want someone to score a 147, Bingham's up there with the best and when someone like Hendry says, when Bingham played in the final to win his world title, " that was proper snooker! " That's a great compliment!
At tournaments they try to make it "dramatic" - lots of really intrusive close-ups of the player sitting out, to make their anguish "entertaining". I often shout at the screen "just show us the bloody table!".
I think in 2015/16 I had a frame against Stuart at Rayleigh lanes snooker where he practiced before he got the snooker room. Love the guy and a great person to be with and I’ll never forget that match
What an incredible channel this is! i’ve got into snooker around 6 months ago and just from watching your videos alone, i’ve seen so much improvement in myself so quickly. Plus getting insight into the professional game is so interesting! Love it.
these videos are genuinely so good. could really help getting people into the game. im young and my brother and i have started playing. go to the club and there are young kids talking about this channel, its fantastic.
In this uniquely gentlaman sport, it's nice to watch the balance between the conversation and the game. As well, of course, as listening to the experienced players that you are, conversing about events and techniques etc. Nice!
I always liked Stuart Bingham. He seems like a nice down to earth bloke. Love the snooker room too, and once again Stephen's video was extremely enjoyable!
Nice to get a insight into Stuart's life, until now I didn't have a clue what he was like as a person, he seem like a decent bloke. Love how the format of these videos being in the comfort of a their homes or a small studio really helps to let the guests relax and show a side you might not otherwise see. This channel is a gem Stephen. 👍
Always remember watching Stuarts win in '15, like Stephen I can't say I 'fancied' him from the off! But his performance was spectacular all the way, and by the final it was an easy choice to support him. Almost the Joe Johnson of the 2010's. Such a nice guy, great conversation.
Class snooker room, another great interview with ball run, i memba seeing stuart at prestatyn many years ago at a pro am hes a nice man, all the best for the new season
Stewart has been one of my favourite players since I watched him at the Crucible. He interacts with the crowd, nice to see. Stephen playing well here, looks more fluid, hope he can carry that into next season.
What a pleasure to see these two fine players demonstrating the true joy of sport: "a friendly" in which the spark of competition animates pleasant conversation. *Great* episode. Such content will do a lot to promote the game too. Stuart Bingham has a razor sharp memory does he not? Think he loves playing too much to commentate, but some a that Essex would do me nicely
What a fantastic room to play this wonderful game. Another top episode. Looking forward to the next one. Love the fact that one week it's say a footballer then it's a snooker legend week after. Would love to see my hero Alan Shearer play against my all time favorite snooker player. Any chance of that Steven?. Keep up the great work on my favorite channel at the moment.
Great episode as always. Really enjoying watching them after recently trying to get into snooker to watch the skill is top class. Would love to see Ronnie on a episode
Brilliant.Stuart’s win along with Joe Johnson’s win in 1986 are the best in modern times. Stephen and Ronnie may be the best ever but once in a while you get a Roy of the Rovers moment in history. Regardless I love all you guys and thank you for this great upload 👍👍❤️
By far my most favourite snooker room we've seen on the channel so far! I bet that room is super comfy at night with just the light of the table and the TV on....I could practice all day in there! What a lucky guy Stewart is, he's earned every bit of it. Good luck this year🎱
I think the effort to get to, and maintain, such a high standard is more than Stephen wants these days - it's not just about the "glamour" of playing at the Crucible, lots of hard work behind the scenes to get there, which the general public never sees.
He's a tidy bloke Bingham. Hope he goes well at the worlds. Cracking snooker room that too. Would be a dream to have something like that at the bottom of my garden.

Now that’s a snooker room😍
Top class. I’ve enjoyed all the guests but Stephen Hendry makes every video. Humble, knowledgable, and a natural at the interviewing game.
Yes Stephen makes every video because it's his channel 😂
Stuart is such a down to earth guy. He certainly hasn't let winning a world title go to his head. Another great video Stephen. 👍❤
What I love about Stuart the most, apart from his top class snooker, is that he always got a smile on his face, especially during matches.. great fela ❤

Lovely episode. Such nice, easy flowing conversation. Well done Stephen and Stuart.
Stuart seems like such a down to earth person i wasn't expecting that.
I am not surprised, he always seemed like a nice fella during matches.
Wasn't expecting what? Stewie has always been a top man.
@@itellyouwhy6957 Maybe because he's a very competitive guy. You never know how these guys are in private though.

Stuart Bingham always seemed like a top lad, and indeed he is. Great interview, cheers.
bingham is a full powerhouse player, a remarkable potter and safety artist, definitely one of my favourite snooker players in the professional league
This has easily become my favourite TH-cam channel.
Stuart has been my favourite player on the circuit for years now...always looks like he is enjoying his snooker
As an Essex lad myself, about 15 mins down the road from Stuart, I always root for him. What a great guy
Seems like nice bloke.
As an Ealing boy myself, I am confused as to why I haven’t bumped into either of you mate!
I am Basildon born and bred, great guy Stuart he is a legend!

How did u get on playing him?
Lost in a singles charity frame but beat him in a doubles match where I partnered with Neil Robertson 👍
Why do you that Russell?
Both times were in exhibitions, so they were fun and not serious games
Absolutely brilliant! To team up with Robertson is a personal achievement (to me) love it! Well done 💙👊
