Cause of fatal collapse in Shanghai

Really? Who builds a building this tall without supports going down to bedrick? I've never seen an american building fall OVER because someone piled up some dirt on one side.

And the whole building remained complete after it collapsed! From the pictures you will be surprised to see not even the windows shattered.

Put it back up,cosmetic damage can be fixed by paint.

@Nash1a well it's like four stories high of soil. That's a lot of soil, which could weigh like several tons plus with it being wet thats like several more tons of weight added because of water.

Good lord and we let them build bridges for us in US. That's scary as hell because this is not the only building they had collapse in China. I'm staying the hell off that bridge.

You can see some circular piles are hollow inside (suppose to be solid). That's why they call it "tofu" project.
