I love seeing stuff like this on the internet. I've lived here all my life and its one of the best cities ever. I'm a little sad you didn't show more of the harbor tho. that's probably one of Ventura's biggest attractions and I also live on a boat in the harbor. the museum is one of the best parts of the harbor. also, you didnt really show any of the good beaches. like the kind of secretish one a few yards away from the harbor. and my mom works at city hall BTW.

What museum is at the harbor?

wonkabo the channel islands national history museum. Its not in the village part. You have to walk a little ways past the village. If you start at the end of the village and follow the sidewalk, you will come across a big blueish greyish building and that's the museum. Its really cool and you dont have to pay to go. Plus there is an actual theatre in the back where you can watch channel islands sea life documentaries. Its really fun and pretty cool

wonkabo yeah!! I've lived in the harbor for about 8 years so im used to just calling it "the museum"

wonkabo my fave part about the museum is the big fish tank... I've always wanted to poke everything, but sadly there are signs that say specifically not to touch anything in it :(

melky jim I always found it to be. If you want something more conservative, go 25 miles south to Thousand Oaks. I want to move to Ventura. I wish I had moved there instead of Thousand Oaks, but that was 8 years ago. I am in dreary, mundane Northern California right now.

it has had its safer days but its definitely not UNSAFE. I mean there didn't used to be as many homeless people but to be honest pretty much everyone INCLUDING THE HOMELESS PEOPLE are really nice. There aren't not many jerks or assholes around here unless you count our neighbors, the vasquerro family.... their not exactly mentally all there. None of them have any decency or manners or even common sense.... but that's the worst out of all the people in Ventura

Beautiful place 5 years ago. I see our great Gov has allowed the homeless to take over the Harbor, Pier, and most of the Beachfront. What a shame!

I live in Roseville Ca. It is Placer County, just north of Sacramento. Newsom is persona non grata here. He and the San Francisco collective have ruined so much of this state.
