Interesting story Wyclef and the Fugees make absolutely 0 royalties from Ready or not They used the Enya sample without copyright permission, thinking it would be a throwaway track on an album that they originally thought no one would listen to.... When the track took off they were sued and ended up giving up all the writing/production credits for the track
Nice reaction, I subbed on this one, Pete and Bas are OGs from time... supposedly mixed with the notorious Kray Twins... they write all their own stuff too, grandkids help with more up to date lingo, They legit on both counts...
Not the Krays... Pete used to hang around with some of the Richardson family's sons and nephews. The Richardsons were the biggest crime family in East London after the Krays went to prison in the 1960s :) Bas' family used to run underground bare knuckle boxing matches. Pete went on to do several jobs including running a leisure centre, Bas became a music teacher who can play several instruments including the piano and sax. The major reason why Bas still has great lung capacity for a guy his age, especially one who smokes, because he plays a couple of brass instruments, including the sax :)
