Some of what people think of as youth slang, was actually used by their generation anyway. Thank them for crossing bridges and showing up the entire drill scene. Also, folk music when they were kids and the late 1800s in east London it became known as 'Music Hall' music, was also presented in this rthymic pattern verse style. So older people grew up with that.

In fact, I often think about how older people went through a better educational system in general, so writing quality bars would come more naturally to us bc we know more about life, which gives us endless references, and we grew up with higher standards for writing.
