Whilst I agree with most comments on here about the hot Charlie, great vocals and acting but what about Lola? Played by the amazing Simon Anthony Rhoden, seen him a few times and he is phenomenal. Seen a few others including Alan Mingo Jr, Todrick Hall, Matt Henry, Craig Thomas, Jemal Felix and Momar Diagne. Simon is the best I've seen and will always be my favourite Lola, I feel he doesn't get enough recognition, he is so crazy talented ❤️
I agree. I saw Billy Porter play Lola on Broadway, and I saw Callum Francis play her in Australia, but I preferred Simon Anthony Rhoden's performance more. I just felt that he captured the humour in the role a lot better.
Went to see this on Thursday and Simon who played Lola was absolutely brilliant....such a good show...shame its closing next year..if it comes on tour local im going to make sure i get my tickets again.... Love the tune "Sex is in the heel" the dancers with Lola were superb ....if u haven't seen it yet go get booked ......brilliant !!!!!!!
