      Yes but he would have had to kill his own arbiter which is why they were saying to Play thoughtknot first to target that with the second ability

      He was asking oracle text on Izzet Staticaster, this was in response to Craig’s Gideon Ally of Zendikar. Asking if it had been retemplated to target planeswalkers like Lightning Bolt was.
