hi there, i have the same pool table, wanted to put in our restaurant, the guy i got it from didnt have the orginal magnetic cue anymore so i bought one off amazon called Aramith magnetic cue ball, anyway whenever i try it out today it wont return to the receiving, do you have any idea why? thanks

Would have been nice to actually see it. We all know it's a system of slides but shaking the camera all over the place so close to the slides doesn't help to show much lol

I seen some very old Valley Pool Tables where the balls would drop in front of you instead of rolling down to the right end of the table

That must be quite a bit older than ours, we don't have any that style

Cool stuff. I am sure the ones we have here in the UK have slightly smaller cue ball, which can fall out of the mechanism, while the other ones roll on into the trap.

In the US, the cue ball is magnetic and slightly bigger by about 4mm, so it clings onto the iron instead of getting caught in the trap

Yeah, I think the rod that pulls the larger cue ball in the video pulls the reds and yellows and black in the UK game, and its the cue ball is the only one that isn't trapped by the rod. So, the other way round from this American game with the larger cue ball. In the UK it is the cue ball that is smaller (in pub games, and home games, at least). I'm building my own pool table, so this video was really helpful in figuring out how to filter the smaller cue ball.
