I agree with the Type 95 Ha-Go being broken, but the Type 97 Chi-Ha can also count because of one particular tank that got about three seconds of screen-time in Das Finale Part 2. The tank in question is Koala Forest's AC-1 (Australian Cruiser Mk1) "Sentinel", which both of Chi-Ha's tanks need to get at stupid range, basically point blank, to even kill an AC1, which could kill them before they even come into range with their 40mm QF 2-pounder gun (this is based on the historical usage of Australian forces with the QF 2-pounder against Japanese tanks in the Pacific. There's even a photo of a Ha-Go destroyed by that gun).

While I agree that the tanks defying top speed is a problem, it's a constant problem done with all the tanks. Also in Der Film a member of Leopon team says something that implies that modifications to the tanks are allowed within certain guidelines.
For your number 10 picks, it could be that the engine for both tanks were either given a upgrade completely remodeled or just replaced with a better one. Just saying, but you are right that the original models showed not be going that fast.
Dude, the tiger P and when Hanna shot the two tanks 1. The Germans thought they needed more horsepower so it was heavy but can overheat quick 2. The bullet penetrated the tank leaving half left bouncing off into another that’s why
I give a little leeway with the Tiger, because it's said in series that the auto club crew has modded it out the wazoo. But yeah, no matter how you slice it, no way it can do vtol. Maybe they salvaged the control panel from an aircraft with vtol?
Actually, I believe all engines have been heavily modified... I'm not sure if the source says it, but it's my headcannon that each tank in Sensha-do gets an engine that on flat, smooth terrain gives all tanks equal speed. Now, on rough terrain the lighter tanks still will excel, but when in the city you will see the ridiculous stunts with speed we know and... love? tolerate? (also maybe there are some classification on different speed classes based on weight... that is, if we classify the Churchill as the same weight class as the Mathilda's and Panzer IV's)
I think we have learned, don't question the automotive club. They can do a lot with a mechanical failure, even repairing it on the move once and never have to repair it again in any subsequent battles. I also had read somewhere that its plausible that the WWII tanks they use could have been upgraded with modern engines and transmissions to improve mechanical reliability. Of which I doubt, but there's a lot of strange occurrences that happened that would make modern upgrades the more realistic than whatever else happens in the show.
The Automotive Club doesn't get enough credit for how much they can get fixed and upgraded with what only 4 or 5 girls. Doubly so when Miho keeps doing aggressive stunts like that to her Panzer IV.
You know, by this point it should be obvious those are lightweight modern material replicas with stupidly overpowered modern engines and basically indestructible hulls made for the sport and not actual historical tanks, they just don't behave like historical tanks at all
The speed buffs are due to engine tuning. It's even explicitly spelled out in one episode of the original series, and further explained in the manga versions. The Armor is massively structurally reinforced to ensure the shells don't penetrate to make Senshado safe, as explained in the mangas. But this structural strengthening also allows for some more Hijinx like transporting another tank on their back (you thought the Italian tankette having a crusader on it's back is bad? How about the Hetzer lifting up the fricking Maus?) or near-misses that would incapacitate a real tank to continue unimpeded. The jumps, drifting and water skipping however are not explained. The increased engine power output certainly allows for a bit more air time than the original tanks did, but that's about it. Edit: The Type 95 Ha-Go penetrating the Matilda's turret is explained by it's main gun at that point, which is clearly the 47mm AT gun, as the original 37mm gun looks very different and this one has the very distinctive gun mantle of the 47mm gun. This is probably due to a conversion to the Type 4 Ke-Nu, which is a Ha-Go with Chi-Ha turret. The conversion of that tank happened off-screen, and instead of thr Chi-Ha's 57mm short-barreled gun they installed the Shinhoto Chi-Ha's long-barreled 47mm gun, which I'm actually not sure actually existed IRL.
THIS VIDEO INSPIRED ME TO MAKE A TANK GAME WHERE YOU CAN DO CRAZY BULLCRAP WITH TANKS And let's hope I stick to it and actually do something cool in my life for once.
The FT-17? Absolutely possible. When Guderian slammed thru the Ardennes and headed straight towards Paris with the entire Motorinfantrie in tow, he managed to secure tons upon tons of FT-17 that had been upgraded during the Interwar years with better engines. Some of them were even used as training tanks or straight up pushed for front-line service before more Panzer III and IV could be sent to the front. Realistically speaking, the FT-17 with the engine upgrade was said to have been able to do 15kmh which itself wasn't horrible within Interwar years and the same doctrine as the British was using but when it came to the Germans, it was painfully slow. Regardless, it was still pretty much correct that it would match certain early WWII tanks. However, the same could be said for the Mk IV which should be the only one in the tenth spot. That BT-42 jumping that far was due to the actual record the Russians did with their BT-5 during their demonstration run and the GuP animators and writers were paying homage to that. So what they did was take a BT-5, removed everything unnecessary and lighten it, jump it from a ramp and landed it quite far, somehow landing it a world record for the longest distance jumped in a tank which hasn't been broken yet. Better still, when everyone was doubting the Christie suspension, that god damn bugger was still drivable after that massive jump which made the Russians believe in it more and built even more tanks with that suspension layout.
There was moment where a jagdpanzer drove under the maus. Its 26 tonnes would've been squashed by the maus's 100+ tonnes. yet it drove away with slight denting and no damage to its barrel
Don't go with warthunder penetration stats at all. They don't line up with actual testing data. We can argue about different testing criteria all day but the margin of error with different testing standards and armor quality is still smaller than the deviation WT penetration statistics are from real life data. WT is most egregious with smaller low velocity guns like the Ha-go and I-go tanks. They are way off and can't penetrate even tissue paper. I'll just put it out there at point blank range, a armor piercing 50cal BMG round is provably capable of matching Warthunder's Ha-go stated penetration. That's enough said on that. The Panzer IV Ausf D is insanely overpowered. It's paper thin rear plate stopped a Stug III's shot at like 50m(at best?) flat on? The STuG III can penetrate that level of armor at any practical combat range. This was like episode 3 I think? Been awhile.
10/9/8/7/5.4: Tanks in GuP don't care about speed, this is seen with pretty much every single vehicle in it. 7: The Pz III can (according to WT (Which isn't that realistic but the easiest simulator to use)) pen the front plate of a T-34-85 firing from 10* above it, which it almost certainly acheived. 6: Fair point, but they didn't shoot the turret ring, they shot the engine. The type 89 vs ha-go scene was kinda silly. 5: 5.1: 57 ton tank going kinda fast is probably not good for the old stone brick bridge 5.2: Guess so, but the plot decides when a tank dies. 5.3: Nyoom. 5.4/.5: Line 1. 5.6: Yours doesn't? 4: The CV33s are super light, and there's a scene where one that got flipped over is manually pushed back by the crew. 3: The fuel tanks are external, and it is a tank. This should be self explanatory as to why it didnt die 2: 2.1: "Medium" as classified by the IJA, but only 11t. The crusader by comparison weighs 20t. 2.2: That shot almost certainly looked like just HE (didn't even hit the vehicle) which even by the KV-2, could not "pen" it from there (Again, WT, grain of salt.) 1: Main character
They gave the Tiger P to the automobile club girls because of the unreliable engine and they said that rules only restricted engine modifications and didn't say anything about the motor so I expect them to have replaced the motor with a hyperwarp or something.
We should also consider the fact that the movie adopted a chaos theory approach... (Which means anything goes cause it's an anime with slightly broken physics)
The l3 under the weight of a crusader tank, and under any circumstances in this anime would be crushed to death due to it, being a part of the size of a bench
Much as I've been a die hard fan of GuP since the start, even getting my family into it, I have to admit that the tank physics got ever more ridiculous as the series went on. It wasn't too bad in the original series, but things started to go off the rails in der Film. By das Finale though, they crossed the line into just plain silly. The whole reason for including the Mk.IV (which is really a Mk.V in all but name) was to use it as a ramp because it shaped funny. And I'm sorry, but even by the series' own internal logic the BC team's leader should have been paste. What broke me though was the night battle with Chihatan (which my phone knew exactly what I was talking about, which disturbs me a little). I can get these girls are better trained and are no longer charging lunatics, but their tanks are suddenly immortal and running on straight cartoon physics. It made their parts of das Finale almost unwatchable and frankly kinda boring since it removed all the stakes and risks when they could just do whatever they want. Still looking forward to the last 3 parts, but at this rate I've got other shows to watch in the meantime.
Don't you underestimate the Automative Club. They do all the work before and after the match and practice. I wouldn't be surprised they tampered a lot of parts and scrapes all the scraps metal of destroyed and unusable tanks. Just look at the Anglerfish tank, it's all done by the Automotive Club. It's basically 2 tanks in one body.
Did you know the Higo has a doorbell because one of the rivets will be disguised as a doorbell so a Japanese soldier could deliver food to the tank members
The neat part is the animators r probably addicted to anime girls, explaining alot of stuff why the girls r not getting either bruises, broken bones, concussion, or worse than that..death, out of all of that drift, tank flipping and jumping
Okay so my views on this video are the same , the FT 17 is incapable of damaging the Porsche tiger , panzer 4 and b1 , but it’s historically in accurate speed is it’s advantage over the lumbering panzer 4, the Mark 4 I get it’s slow in real life but in the show it’s speed is incredibly funny, the Pershing belongs at number 8 because it’s ability to drift during the film is in accurate because the m26 weighs more than a Sherman, the centurion I also get as well, the panzer iii j is definitely the most op tank as it jumped through the air shot Klara’s tank and rammed it is so funny , the type 95 being able to bounce a 2pdr and kill a Matilda 2 as well as survive rolling and spin the type 89 around like a spinning top like that’s some Chad moves by Fukuda, the Porsche tiger is also op with that duel transmission, stealth, VTOL and EPS makes it a beast shame about the drive train explosion it had later on in der film, The CV33 is the fastest tank , it skipped a lake , and got flung through the air , shame that it was destroyed by Alice in der film and duck team during the show , but dog piling A FT 17 and coffin carrying the crusader dropping it in a canal is so hilarious , the BT42 is op because it can jump , and drive without tracks plus its really fast, which helps doing destroy the enemy tank and scoot tactic , the crusader mark 3 is op because of its speed, particularly when Rosehip is commanding is ludicrous to quote the speed demon herself “ we’re releasing the limiters!”, the Type-89 is op because it destroyed CV33’s ,Pershing and even the Type 10 got destroyed by it ( GUP DTM DX mission that’s against regulations) and the Panzer 4 is definitely op , it killed 4 x Matilda 2’s , 1x M4 Sherman 75 mm ( along with Hippo, rabbit and duck teams), 1x M4A1 76 W Sherman, 1x P26/40, 1x T34 76, 1x KV-2 , 1x Panther G , 1x Panzer 4 70 V,1x Panzer iii J, 1x maus , 1x tiger 1 , 3x Crusader mark 3, 1x Centurion, 1x FT 17 , x chi ha old and new and 3x T26 in total so far , they will kill more tanks in Das finale 5 and 6.
RnM 7TPjw that chapter Bonple VS St. Gloriana... That turret rotation... Actually that manga is a full of lovely absurd tanks... We need get anime adaptation of it.
I would add Panzer 38 (t) next to the Type 95 Ha-Go, beacuse, how tf it managed to destroy T-34s and break T-34-85's tracks, even though there was no right angle.
The BT-42 is based on the BT-7. the longest jump of the tank was 42 meters long and it was made by bt-7. so it was theoretically possible for him to jump. бт-42 создан на основе бт-7. самый длинный прыжок танка был длинной 42 метра и его совершил бт-7. так что это в теории его прыжок был возможен.
i agree with the ww1 tanks like how are they gonna go that fast like 55 to 60 mph (normal ww2 tank speed) and how does it go that fast. I don't understand why this anime series broke the speed physics. And first off, tanks don't drift irl i haven't seen a tank go i need to get some tofu, ok i have officially lost my braincells watching these. Nascar style? really nascar fans are really impresed that a tank from ww2 can do wall ride and holy its now a plane?
girls und panzer is basicaly "If germans had senshado on steroids" Also in the german version the Panzer III j1 is called a "stug III" Also I've watched it 7-9 times completely (I got way too much time to waste) I also just remembered about the Panzer 4 H that it's not a 4 H rather some other before the f1 (look in the war thunder tech tree which one it could be, I'm not sure which one it is but I guess it's the panzer 4 C; they said after giving it a long barrel that it's looking like the f2 in that moment) and if there is an engine difference between those models, the anglerfish team isn't even using the H variant then. [Insert the "change my mind" meme here]
NGL I swallowed my historian self in episode 1 when they Zoom out and the fact that they are living in a Super Sized Aircraft Carrier made me fucking jealous
Well since we're in modern age. They likely changed the engines to be fast. But their weight determines top speed. Lastly that Ricochet double kill. Is because if the Carbon internal armour of the tanks. So the crews can't get killed either by shells or sharpnel
@@gustvandenbroeck1162 obviously. But yeah. The creators made it fast paced. But I just think just a simple engine change makes them fast. I think the engineering team also said there were engine limitations. They added turbo or nitro on the porch tiger! the fact the FT and MKIV can take a hit and not be killed by any of these tanks is the biggest BS

I think its just a joke switch. Alot of car guys do that
@@the_tactician9858 the rules only said not to modify the engine so the automotive club modded the motor iirc, and probably some other stuff
1:50 oh that is just a normal day in warthunder
3:44 german engineering at its finest
I think we have learned, don't question the automotive club. They can do a lot with a mechanical failure, even repairing it on the move once and never have to repair it again in any subsequent battles. I also had read somewhere that its plausible that the WWII tanks they use could have been upgraded with modern engines and transmissions to improve mechanical reliability. Of which I doubt, but there's a lot of strange occurrences that happened that would make modern upgrades the more realistic than whatever else happens in the show.
Alice is probably the best girl lol and Erika commanding the Pz 3.L killing the Pravda flag tank is the reason why it can kill it
You had me dead on the ground with the tiger V-Tol XD
Can we take a moment to appreciate the driver and gunner of the centurion
the driver was Takumi from the beginning and the shooter was Jom Wick
The Automotive Club doesn't get enough credit for how much they can get fixed and upgraded with what only 4 or 5 girls. Doubly so when Miho keeps doing aggressive stunts like that to her Panzer IV.
the gup Tank is inspired by the gameplay of world of tanks but i still love it
You know, by this point it should be obvious those are lightweight modern material replicas with stupidly overpowered modern engines and basically indestructible hulls made for the sport and not actual historical tanks, they just don't behave like historical tanks at all
The speed buffs are due to engine tuning.
I actually know something for the mark 1 and ft17 speed I think they upgraded the engines
The really took " german science is the world finest" to another level
5:53
if that was the Kv-2 then this was one of the smallest explosions he can made
Shooting while driving makes the gun extremely inaccurate. Also Why does every tank go like 200kmh in every occasion?
Girls und panzer, phycics sponcored by World of Tanks (blitz)
THIS VIDEO INSPIRED ME TO MAKE A TANK GAME WHERE YOU CAN DO CRAZY BULLCRAP WITH TANKS
And let's hope I stick to it and actually do something cool in my life for once.
Actually they bot got gear box and engine upgrade i think because modified tanks are very normal
the centurion can in fact just do that trust me bro.
This made me laugh so hard! I wish there was more!
Good video mate, TRUELY enjoyed it 😂😂 omg I can’t stop laughing
hehe well theres gonna be another deep dive GuP video coming soon.
@@TheRoarinSpitty Hell yea! can't wait mate!
I really love this anime series. Rewatch multiple times never got bored. But my favorite is the movie it's just so perfect
fun fact: you actually can drift a tank, the metal based tracks one that is
Don't go with warthunder penetration stats at all.
5: 5.1: 57 ton tank going kinda fast is probably not good for the old stone brick bridge
5.2: Guess so, but the plot decides when a tank dies.
5.3: Nyoom.
5.4/.5: Line 1.
5.6: Yours doesn't?
4: The CV33s are super light, and there's a scene where one that got flipped over is manually pushed back by the crew.
3: The fuel tanks are external, and it is a tank. This should be self explanatory as to why it didnt die
2: 2.1: "Medium" as classified by the IJA, but only 11t. The crusader by comparison weighs 20t.
2.2: That shot almost certainly looked like just HE (didn't even hit the vehicle) which even by the KV-2, could not "pen" it from there (Again, WT, grain of salt.)
1: Main character
They gave the Tiger P to the automobile club girls because of the unreliable engine and they said that rules only restricted engine modifications and didn't say anything about the motor so I expect them to have replaced the motor with a hyperwarp or something.
Never thought I’d see this video
We should also consider the fact that the movie adopted a chaos theory approach... (Which means anything goes cause it's an anime with slightly broken physics)
The l3 under the weight of a crusader tank, and under any circumstances in this anime would be crushed to death due to it, being a part of the size of a bench
For the record, the longest ever jump in a tank was preformed by a BT-7 at an outstandingly mindbreaking 42 meters.
The show has always been outlandish. Its not different than watching harry potter. Brooms cant fly, just enjoy a world where they can
Absolutely agree with this statement
There's only ONE thing to explain all that: PLOT ARMOR! The ULTIMATE armor anywhere (except Real Life, of course)!
The porche tiger having a STEALTH mode killed me
Don't you underestimate the Automative Club.
Did you know the Higo has a doorbell because one of the rivets will be disguised as a doorbell so a Japanese soldier could deliver food to the tank members
this is what makes GUP special guys ;)
The neat part is the animators r probably addicted to anime girls, explaining alot of stuff why the girls r not getting either bruises, broken bones, concussion, or worse than that..death, out of all of that drift, tank flipping and jumping
BT-42 isn't broken cause it's base on facts from winter war
Tiger P: Wunderwaffe! (Wonder weapon)
You forgot to mention the sideskirts of Anglerfish act like ERA and voiding an uncanny number of shots
The WWI tanks probably just had improved engines.
The Hetzer didn't even get an honorable mention for jacking up a Maus? That's serious wedge power.
One thing I want to mention the ARL-44 was made after WW2 so I have no idea how it’s allowed
Development began just before the end of World War II.
I feel like the BT 42 can be called the most broken now after Das Finale part 4 where it LITERALLY WENT DOWN A MOUNTAIN ON SKIS.
3:30 POV: 999 ping
Watching this made me wanna watch this anime again.
the tank that shot the Matilda tank is Type 89b I-Go Ko with 57 mm Type 90 cannon
The tiger p thing turned into a muscle car you add spikes or a ram to that thing coming in hot
RnM 7TPjw that chapter Bonple VS St. Gloriana... That turret rotation... Actually that manga is a full of lovely absurd tanks... We need get anime adaptation of it.
That one tigers traversing speed was weirdly fast😂
Probably seeing a tiger doing 90s
I would add Panzer 38 (t) next to the Type 95 Ha-Go, beacuse, how tf it managed to destroy T-34s and break T-34-85's tracks, even though there was no right angle.
Did you know the tiger Porsche in its practice tests were frequent to set ablaze?
Pz iv h has spaced armor, steel armor and plot armor, of course it’d be that OP in GuP 👀
Nascar style? really nascar fans are really impresed that a tank from ww2 can do wall ride and holy its now a plane?
girls und panzer is basicaly "If germans had senshado on steroids"
Also in the german version the Panzer III j1 is called a "stug III"
Also I've watched it 7-9 times completely (I got way too much time to waste)
I also just remembered about the Panzer 4 H that it's not a 4 H rather some other before the f1 (look in the war thunder tech tree which one it could be, I'm not sure which one it is but I guess it's the panzer 4 C; they said after giving it a long barrel that it's looking like the f2 in that moment) and if there is an engine difference between those models, the anglerfish team isn't even using the H variant then. [Insert the "change my mind" meme here]
3:34 "you have been disconnected from the server"
NGL I swallowed my historian self in episode 1 when they Zoom out and the fact that they are living in a Super Sized Aircraft Carrier made me fucking jealous
Angler fish panzer iv: withstands an 88mm at point blank in both the front and the back?
Damn.... not even Stalinium has that durability level
The only way the HA-GO could pen the Matilda turret ring was if it had already shot or it was damaged.
The panzer iv from ankou team Just tanks any fucking Shell with the side skirts 💀
"IT HAS V-TOL!?" got me rolling
The L3-33 just be better
the KV-2 casually being a submarine
Well since we're in modern age. They likely changed the engines to be fast. But their weight determines top speed.
Lastly that Ricochet double kill. Is because if the Carbon internal armour of the tanks. So the crews can't get killed either by shells or sharpnel
nah they made the tanks just faster so that you dont have to watch a slow battle with slow tanks its more intresthing to watch this way
@@gustvandenbroeck1162 obviously. But yeah. The creators made it fast paced. But I just think just a simple engine change makes them fast. I think the engineering team also said there were engine limitations. They added turbo or nitro on the porch tiger! To make a heavy tank to a light tank till it broke down because the engine couldn't handle it
