- केंद्रीय रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह (Rajnath Singh) ने एक किताब का विमोचन करते हुए बयान दिया है. उसमें उन्होंने कहा है कि सावरकर (Veer Savarkar) को लेकर एक कैंपेन चलाया जा रहा है, जिसमें कहा जा रहा है कि उन्होंने अंग्रेजों से माफी मांगी. जबकि सच ये है कि उन्होंने महात्मा गांधी के कहने पर माफी मांगी थी.

Veer Savarkar had two brothers. Gandhiji wrote for Bhagatsingh is false. Savarkar never felt that by dying he will be serving his country. Bhagatsingh felt that his death would serve more for the cause. Savarkar always felt that by remaining in jail, he will not be able to serve his country. So he tried to escape many times and many ways. One of them was writing such letters. He advised others also to make use of all avenues and get released from the prison.

Dear friend for your knowledge their were reasons behind writing mercy letters but very few understand this, Savarkar knew if he stays in jail forever how could he continue the freedom fight, like when Chattrapati Shivaji maharaj were arrested in agra he also created false drama wrote letters to Aurangzeb that he is ill and want to distribute sweets and escaped from agra so that he could continue his fight for freedom, Veer Savarkar created many freedom fighters, he fooled the British by showing he is working for them, at the time of World War 2 he insisted Indian youth to join British Army because he knew once our country will get freedom we will need our own military so we need the training. (Gandhi opposed the youth to join army) Veer Savarkar was very brilliant and foresighted so please understand Veer Savarkar.
