I spent a while looking up what this place could be on yelp and finally found this Bistro in Old Town SD. Lots of reviewers saying the manager yells at the employees in front of customers and the store isn’t kept clean. It sounds like an episode of Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares.

I read reviews before going in for an interview and he straight up yelled at everybody on front of me, had my take a bunch of pictures of menus, and then in his office he told me he's all.about making money ans trying to become a millionaire, not make friends. Needless to say I never went back or answered any of his calls. He spam called me multiple times before texting some crazy message to me talking shit. What a character, I wonder if he owns that place too!?

This is a braindead take. Does it attract mostly tourists? Yes. Is it on the same level as taco bell? Absolutely not. There is some decent food to be had, some pretty authentic. Its pretty wild to say its fake Mexican food when many of the workers/owners are real Mexicans, most of the artisans selling goods there are real Mexican artisans.
In my hometown there was an ice cream shop that almost always was empty, the staff was mean and rude and the ice cream was horrible. I said for years that it was a front for money laundering or something because absolutely everyone hated the place and in 15 years it has always been like that.
