Railfanning Buena Park - 8/1/15

I'll have to admit, this railfanning trip was rather a result of twisted fate. On a rather nice Saturday, I had originally decided to go railfan at the Norwalk / Santa Fe Springs Metrolink Station, but upon arrival, a BNSF intermodal train happened to be blocking the view across the station to either platform. So after waiting for a half hour in hopes for the train to move and my attempts in vein, I left and headed south to the next stop at the Buena Park Metrolink Station. Again, as I arrived, a different BNSF intermodal blocked the views again and in desperation I waited. Fortunately though right as I was about to call it quits and head home, there was a hissing sound and wouldn't you know it, the train moved out and I began railfanning ! All in all, Buena Park is a fairly good place to railfan, with a long stretch of straight track to the east, although there is however a blind curve to the northwest side of the station. It also happened to be somewhat near Little Saigon, so I was able to pick up some things after railfanning and visit family as well.

Train 5 : BNSF Q-HOULAC7-31A with ES44C4 #6947, #6986, #6720, & C44-9W #4534. Friendly crew on this train !
Train 6 : Amtrak 579 with CabCar #6908 & F59PHI #454.
Train 7 : BNSF Q-LACCHI5-01A ES44C4 #7003, C44-9W #4581, #5282, & ES44C4 #6893. Pretty cool shot in my opinion !
Train 8 : Amtrak 582 with F59PHI #464 & CabCar #6901.
Train 9 : BNSF M-BARLAC1-01A with ES44DC #7770, #7745, #7761, #7701(DPU), #7752(DPU). This train appeared in the distance just minutes before Metrolink #666 was scheduled to arrive.
Train 10 : Metrolink #666 with MP36PH-3C #901 & CabCar #660. Great conductor on Metrolink #666 !
Train 11 : BNSF Z-ALTLAC9-31A with ES44DC #7906, & C45ACCTE #7694(UP). Great crew on this train as well !
Train 12 : Amtrak 784 with F59PHI #462 & CabCar #6951.
Train 13 : Amtrak 583 with CabCar #6952 & P42DC #172.
Train 14 : BNSF Z-LACSTL9-01L with ES44C4 #6852, GE Evolution Series Tier 4 #2042, & ES44C4 #7042. First time seeing the GE Tier 4 Locomotive !
