      Your Japanese army did not do the good job in China in the WWII, or should there be no greedy Chinese left in China nowadays to steal the other countries' territory.

      Such an idiot! You think if Japan conquered China, other southeastern countries can be safe? In WWII, Japan was very ambitious to take over the whole Pacific area, including Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, etc. That's why Japanese attacked the Pear Harbor.

    This means Filipino fishermen can fish in Scarborough shoal again, and china will not try to ram their warships to their boats anymore cos Philippines now has legal rights in that area

      Biggus Dickus That's where the international community comes in. China will build a great wall of Isolation around itself if it disrespects international law.

    • @Subash0069
      @Subash0069 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      trex kiro Thats the problem. China isn't the kind of power it was 20 years ago. Its very difficult to impose a sanction on a nation that exports cheap goods to all the countries around the world. They can't push them around so much. So it's going to be interesting to see how China and International community reacts. BTW I think China is being a total douche. They are literally invading the beaches of Philippines and Brunei.

    • @trexkiro9200
      @trexkiro9200 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Biggus Dickus All nations must abide International law. If china will not yield to international law then whats stopping other world powers from invading other country? They will be like,"If china can get away with Violating the Law maybe the international law is insignificant and maybe i can invade other countries to expand my buffer space.?" So its very important for International community to teach China on what will happen to nations big or small if they will violate the law so other nations will not copy the actions of china.

      Hi Alan, our governments ( US or Au) didn't tell us the truth. If you take a further study over the background of that Japanese judge in Hague tribunal and his relationship with Shinzō Abe, we can safely draw the conclusion that Japan and Russia will benefit ultimately from this chaos. The least thing I wanna do is to shed our people's blood for their interest.

    The United Nations have spoken and China should accept the ruling and set a good example to whole world and be responsible member of the international community. It's a matter of sovereignity and China should not use it's economic clout to steal what is not theirs.

  • @nigelbulls23
    @nigelbulls23 8 ปีที่แล้ว +15

    The claims mentioned by Cheng were much smaller is size. The South China sea claim is 100 times bigger than those two small claims. We also need to remember that the claims are by several countries. China has unreasonable demands that no country can accept.

    • @nigelbulls23
      @nigelbulls23 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The disputes were never talked about until China started militarizing the South China. China is aware of the 12 mile law. The international will not be threaten or intimidate from ta country. Many of the island are very close to Philippines coastline but very far from the China mainland.

    • @nigelbulls23
      @nigelbulls23 8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The fact remains that the South China sea doesn't belong to China. There are several countries with claims. The countries can manufacture historical evidence. The South China sea is too big to belong to once country.
      China wants the east China Sea and South China seas. The international community will start trade sanctions on China for violating international law.

    The ruling of the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague about South China Sea dispute is an objective ruling based on provided evidences and UNCLOS 1982. Although there is no one to enforce this ruling but the ruling tells who are right, who are wrong in this case. According to Mrs. Theresa Cheng, this ruling would create more chance for the parties to negotiate and in some sense it would encourage more lawful behaviors in the region. But we would not expect much that China would totally behave lawfully after this ruling. The foreign policy of China in South China Sea is still the foreign policy of warships.

    China should accept the result, UN is definitely not biased for the Big decision, they study and check everything so that to be fair, and Fortunately for Philippines wins the territorial dispute. China should be fair and square, I believe that if Philippines lost for the territorial dispute will definitely disappoint first, but will give way for China because the decision of UN. Professor Teresa Cheng is completely wrong about Nicragua. After the united states the case in the International Court of Justice - where by the way, they forced their allies to vote for them - they financed a civil war to topple the government they were ordered to give reparations and stop financing an military effort to topple the government. Remember Oliver North and the Iran Contra Scandal? This went on for years, and because of this Nicaragua still harbors much resentment against USA.

    The comparison of the 2 types of the geographical/marine discoveries in the human history:-
    ( 1 )-The discovery of the South China Sea and its hundred islands-starting 800 years ago or even further ancient during the Han & Yuan dynasty of China, but the most intensive one was during
    Ming Dynasty about 600 years ago-the Chinese Emperor, Jue Di sent Mr. Zhang Ho to make 7 trips, with 300 ships plus 28000 men in 30 years, sailing southward through the South China
    Sea far to the Indian Ocear & Eastern Africa. The purpose of these voyages were manly for the exploration, to spread the Chinese culture and the goodies exchange- No violence, no killing,
    no colonization, and no slavery creation. The above ( the so called THE ORIENTAL CHINESE style ).
    ( 2 )-The discovery of America & Australia, ect, all happened after Mr. Zhang Ho's voyage & exploration-Violence, massive killing the local native people, taking their treasures ( especially gold ),
    then creating slavery and grapping their lands to form the U.S.A., Canada and Australia, etc The above ( the so called THE WESTERN WHITE EUROPEAN style ).
