Chris. Super pattern. I'm going to tie these. I may try Moose hair as well as the Deer hair. I will also tie an Emerger pattern off of yours. You vids are easy to follow and well presented. Thanks. Your flies work. Loved the net!
Thanks very much. There are thousands of interpretations out there especially when it comes to caddis and you know I bet most work. All I can say between this and the peacock caddis pattern you can't go wrong. As far as the net is concerned I am a big believer in this type of net for that reason. On the river nothing floats by without a look including the little pseudos. I must admit I kind of liked the window trick though. It works just make sure you are buckled in and on a quiet road. All the best.
I looked at the programs not sure if I am going to go. If you plan on going check out Ed Engle and Gary Borgers seminars. Worth the admission to the show. Good stuff. Let me know what day you are going if you do go and I will give you a heads up if I am there.
It all depends on perspective. The reason most people have a vest full of fly patterns is because they are never sure what pattern to use. I can browse through the thousands of video tutorials on line and see some very impressive fly patterns and the information on how to make them is fantastic however, much time and fly box space is wasted on a pretty pattern. I do not have much to say other then these are the patterns that work and why. To me its not like books on tape. I look forward to your first video and I subscribed so that I will let you know what I think. If I can ever be of help let me know. All the best.
Great video. Love the fiddle the background.

Hey Chris- have you tried omitting the palmered hackle on the body? Does it make a difference? Without it would ride lower in the water
You might try that but this is what it is and the trout seam to like it. Its all about what works for you.
Yes that can work good. Low floating flies tend to look vulnerable.
:10. Glad I’m not the only one who’s done that!
Buen tricoptero 👌
Will you be attending/tying @ Edison show?
Not sure. I went last year. I have not seen the activities and seminar lists as of right now. Most likely be a last minute thing.

I;m looking to get a magnifier. What kind do you have. Any recommendations?
Can you shoot closer in on the fly?
I could but it would be out of focus. We do the best we can with what we have. Maybe I will start a gofundme for some better equipment. LOL
!!!👍
Try describing the materials your using and less chatter.
