Great to see some interviews from this unfortunately little seen movie. It's just as intriguing and exciting as any other sci-fi Cameron was involved in. And just as well-directed as any of Bigelow's other films.
Glad that she asked Jim about the ideas in the movie and his thoughts about it. I agree with him that Strange Days is ultimately optimistic and this is symbolised by Lenny and Mace's love for each other and the moral choice Lenny makes to release the truth, his own redemption
ummm, shouldn't act like it's an original idea though (to record brain patterns for others to experience them/use tech on the brain to input the doings of another, etc.) lots of them, but I quickly think of both: Until the End of the World Plague of Pythons
It’s actually a reference to SimStim from William Gibson’s cyberpunk fiction. They’re called SQUIDs as a nod to another William Gibson work called Johnny Mnemonic.
IMO, Strange Days maybe the best Neo Noir film ever made

it's not a view of the future, it's a commentary on now, Bobbie

strange to see jack dawsons hair on jims head.
It really is.
How was the title of the movie chosen ? Were there not better alternatives ?
