Good performance, I don’t know if it’s a problem of the Video, unfortunately the audio is poor, but I feel the sound is too often pumped, without a longer phrasing, like if you play with and accent and you go away with the sound then.rnYou played with a good character,as I said, sustain more, specially the legato without an accent at the beginning of each note and then a sort of diminuendo.

Very nice performance!rnVery nice sound and technic, very solid and strong on the instrument.rnJust make sure that you are doing the text in Ropartz and you conduct logical phrasing. The beginning is a bit manner, I mean the phrasing is too much up and down, would need more sostain in the tension.rnIt the Pergolesi, very strong also but sometimes the phrasing is upside down (it’s early music) and the articulation too heavy.rnCongratulations for your playing, very sure and strong!

This was a most impressive performance. Thank you so much for this demonstration of your musicality and progress on the trombone. I found it all highly persuasive. You seem to play with great confidence yet also when it mattered, great poise. You took real care in the slow music to make sure everything was tuneful and melodic. You have a totally brave and fearless approach to the high notes, and also with great success. You’re going to be an outstanding professional trombonist in the future I have no doubt. Wonderful playing on these two works! Your sound is expressive and really effective, especially in the softer dynamics. A few observations for your to consider:rnIn my view you are over-doing dynamics too quickly for the expression of the musical line. In some cases they sound like swells and in other cases we lose some of the integrity of the melodic line because the changes too big, too quickly. I applaud your work with dynamics but be sure that you are not losing your listeners in these moments. Likewise, I feel that often you crescendo to volumes based on your capabilities on the trombone rather than what the music really needs. Some extreme highs and lows were like that for me. Remember that just because you can play it louder, you don’t always need to! You are playing in a very bright room. I heard that in the piano before you started. Dear Leonard-Gabriel. I indeed enjoyed most of your musical playing while you are using beautiful and flexible vibrato as well you do listen all the details of the sound. In Pergolesi you could play less (more in baroque manner). To be a complete artist/musician do consider also about your stage presence which at some moments could/should be more ellegant and not too "sporty". Next time do put stand lower or try to play by heart 🙂
