Hey there it is! Finished Eight Billion Genies (beautiful, loved it), started on Radiant Black. Figured if I'm going to REALLY read comics I'll have to shake off some of my bias against superhero stories. Enjoying it, Image Comics seems to have a lot of interesting stuff. Thanks for these recommendations too!
Oh course! I’ve got a handful of best of / year end wrap up videos I’m trying to push before end of year! Stay tuned! Also, any favorite non-big 2 comics you’ve read this year? 📚📚📚
Indie Comics are where the best talent can be found! This year, my favorite was Dawn Runner from Dark Horse. Absolutely amazing! Incredible art! 💯🌟✨️🏆✏️✒️🖌🎨👍
It's a giant robot pilot fighting giant monsters from another dimension. The twist is that they are using a mind meld tech, and the pilot gets "absorbed" into the robot. There's a lot more to it. It's great! The art is by Evan Cagle, and it's incredible. You have to check it out! 💯🌟✨️🏆@@TheComicBookReport
If you liked Thundercats, I think you will really enjoy the new Space Ghost collection from Dynamite...written by David Pepose and art by Jonathan Lau.
Here's my Top 10 (All are first time reads): 1. Something is Killing The Children by James Tynion IV and Werther Dell'Edera 2. Transformers by Daniel Warren Johnson 3. Junkyard Joe by Geoff Johns and Gary Frank 4. Love Everlasting by Tom King and Elsa Charreteir Vol.1 5. Power Rangers/TMNT Duology by Ryan Patrott, Simone Di Meo, and Dan Mora 6. Saga by Brian K. Vaughn Vol.1 7. Night Club by Mark Millar and Juanan Ramirez 8. The Many Deaths of Leila Staar by Ram V and Felipe Andrade 9. Stray Dogs by Tony Fleecs and Trish Fornster 10. Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees by Patrick Horvath
@@tristanmaldonado670 ok I've seen love everlasting advertised and I'm curious about it, but I've never talked to anyone who has read it. It sounds like you enjoyed it, but what made it a standout for you?
@@TheComicBookReport Think of it as classic romance scenarios mixed with groundhog day. It's what I got the vibe of when I was reading it for the first time and it was very fun
Descender and Rook Exodus are my favorite. Also enjoyed Parliament of the Rooks, Stumptown, Black Sight, The Cull, Sacrificers, Kill your darlings, Gumma, Big Game, Duke, Last Mermaid and Low
I’ve read the first handful of issues of Descender and enjoyed! Also read the first issue of Rook Exodus and thought it was spectacular, just waiting for the collected edition ha. I was curious about Stumptown. Good?
I loved Eight Billion Genies so much! My LCS had an event when the series ended with the artist but I hadn’t read it at the time. I read the collected edition and really regretted missing it because of how incredible it was
@@TheComicBookReportI was really impressed by both Hellboy and Fear Agent. I am a horror fan so I loved the Hellboy stories and Mignola’s artwork is so unique and fitting. I got that enormous omni at a great price; one of the best buy’s of the year. The Crooked Man isn’t in the Monster sized but I n awsome and scary tpb to start with.
I'm definitely interested in getting Thundercats because I loved the 2011 reboot, and Rouge Sun because I like the Massive-verse, and Geiger because everyone says it's great, so I want to read it for myself.
