Three Magnolias out beginning March 2020 - Caerhays

Charles in the garden at Caerhays this weekend, looking at three lovely magnolias which are out in flower for all to see.
First off is a cross (which he calls 'Vulcan') but it's a cross between M. 'Vulcan' & M. 'Atlas' and called 'Felix Jury'.
Next up (t 1:16) is a pink cross called M. 'Shirazz' which is crossed between M. denudata & M. Vulcan.
(t 2:27)Lastly a lovely which called M. 'Albatross' which is a cross between M. cyclindrica & M. veitchii 'Peter Veitch'.

When it comes to magnolias at Caerhays I think the star of the show has got to be Magnolia Cambellii breathtaking when in flower and it’s said that it takes up to 20 years after planting before it flowers.

I think that the first of these three is Felix, not Vulcan
