    hey tyler, got a question, in general not everyone knows what's the density of iron, but what if this kind of question came out in an exam, u cant google stuff with ur phone right , so i was wondering is there another method to know the density of an element based on the question

    • @Zakariajablaoui
      @Zakariajablaoui 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think it is impossible for this type of question to come u should have at least 2 variables without them u can't do the question and by the way your teacher can't for example give u a question like
      Find the mass of the object so based on that question you should have density and length in the question

    When we have a material which is denser than another one, does this mean that it has more number of atoms per one cm^3 ??

    How are we supposed to get the density if we are doing a test? I guarentee phones are not allowed on an exam.

      J.R. Navarro surely you're given a data/formula sheet to refer to, otherwise it should be stated in the question.

    when he rounds the final result why is it 2,160 and not just 2,164?

    • @FlyingRaptor123
      @FlyingRaptor123 8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      +Ana Patino he only needed three significant figures because 275 and 7.87 both have three sig figs. If he kept it as 2164 it would've had four sig figs. you always want to write your answer with the least amount of sig figs possible.

    • @anapatino4243
      @anapatino4243 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Ivan Mendoza thank you! makes perfect sense to me now

    • @beeeean
      @beeeean 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      so 0 is not consider as a sig fig. so if 54561 / 45124 = 1.20910000 instead of 1.20913483??

    • @FlyingRaptor123
      @FlyingRaptor123 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      codina doesminecraft A 0 is significant depending where it's at. Any zeros after the decimal or in between two non-zero numbers are considered sig figs. If a number ends in 1 or more zeros and ends right before the decimal point then it's not considered a sig fig. For example 100 has only 1 sig fig, but 100.00 has 5. So in your case the answer would just be 1.2091

      The thing here is that we want to know how to get that iron's density ourselves without internet, because....yeah in life we can use any trick that gets the job done, but for a stupid test we can't use certain resources....and school is the main issue why most of us are here...
