Harley-Davidson is a class act, and they work hard to satisfy their customers. I was an anti Harley person until 2014 when I purchased a 2014 ultra limited. I fell in love with the brand. I have 2 Harley’ in my garage alone with a Honda Goldwing. Most people think I prefer riding the Goldwing on long trips, but they are absolutely incorrect, 2019 CVO is a very comfortable bike and I made no suspension upgrades, and rolling with the stock seat. I did add a set of Woods cams that allow me to run away from any Goldwing. Good video.
You are spot on Tall. It upsets me when people lately are complaining about how much the paint cost. A custom color gallon of paint can cost several thousand dollars. The added cost for Mystic Shift is the deal of the century!
Other brands aren’t as expensive as Harley is though. I’d say that people always expect more because of how much the brand charges us. Case in point, the price went up about $2k more from 24 to 25. So as consumers, we’re under the assumption that that they have done something new to the bike besides a new color.
Right on man. That was some great perspective. I loved how you included your dad and his buddy and how things used to be. We are very fortunate to have such a wide selection.
I bought a 2022 sporster 48 from white lightning HD at Chattanooga Tn and now I want to trade it for either a street glide or a road glide since I’ve been riding the bike for 2 years I’m more comfortable to move on to the big boys but once I do I’ll have to get a hold of you bc I noticed you filmed a lot video at bootlegger in my home town Knoxville so I can share my experience and hope they don’t make me go to Chattanooga to get a better deal, HD bikes is a life style and I love everything about the brand and I don’t care how much people complain about the price it’s not for everyone but if you work hard you will achieve your dream bike just keep doing the right things
Tall I’m gonna be honest at first I wasn’t a Harley fan. I thought the bike was just loud and everyone who rode them just wanted to be seen. My first bike was a 86 Honda NightHawk, then I graduated to a Triumph Sprint ST 955i. I’m now riding a 23 Ultra Limited Harley Davidson and I bought it for comfort and touring. My bucket list was to ride from my last duty station from the Army to my hometown of Chicago and I accomplished that June of 2024. I did your ride in 2024 and preparing for the 2025 ride coming up. I love how you can personalize a Harley unlike many other bikes.
Great video tall, I don't like complainers, I would bet that most of them on the internet either don't even have a motorcycle or some other lesser brand and are jealous
Tall outstanding points, I have been on a Honda Goldwing since 1998, as a long distance rider and a Road King for around town, since HD has so advised IMO over Honda, in April 2024, I sold my 2018 Goldwing and 2010 R-King and purchased my 2024 Road Glide WF, Honda generation days IMO only is coming to an end, the GW family is aging out, I live in Texas and I'm seeing less and less of the GW in the Dallas, TX area and more Harley Davidsons, thanks for sharing and keep on gliding, hope to meet you at Run to The Hills bro...
I understand. I feel the same way about the Road Kings, I'd like to have an all Blacked out one. I haven't priced a new one, but if what you're saying about the price is true, it would be hard for me to buy one over a Street Glide or Road Glide. So again, I understand you make a valid point. Thank you for watching. Keep Gliding and have a blessed day.
To each its own… But for me when H-D added that beautiful screen I looked into H-D. After several rides and research I couldn’t believe how well it handled. You have to go to do your research on the different dealers because they are not all the same especially in customer service which is unfortunate. I was able to find a decent dealer and I purchased my first H-D Road Glide in Aug 2024!
Hi Mr. Tall and team!! Thank you with all our hearts for providing interesting entertaining content! We are super grateful for all the energy and efforts to provide content!! I would first like to confess that i am very passionate motorcycle enthusiast and a huge Harley Davidson fan!! I do not want to give the impression that i constantly complain in this comment. I am a very happy person!! LoL I agree with you that Harley Davidson is very good at providing many choices and options for the consumer. The negative comment, and this is my own personal impression; that the price for touring bike, entry level (badge and one color choice) is at a ridiculous amount of money! Then it becomes insulting that other color choices have upcharges into thousands of dollars?? It should be a CVO in my humble opinion. Let's not forget more $money$ for black finish (nonsense). For me personally, It is my opinion that for the money / upcharge, most colors are blah and not worth the price! I truly believe that the current Harley Davidson strategy is not sustainable business model / pricing for long term or lifelong riders remain devoted to HD brand. Thank you with all our hearts for everything you do for motorcycle community!!
My 24 Road Glide is a great bike, I don't know what else I would even need. Mostly its cosmetic or ergonomics (back rest, tour-pak etc). I can't fault Harley for their bikes, the 117 is more than enough and I have a stock engine. Agree on the other companies, a lot have had minimal engine changes. People love to knock Harley, its really that simple
Mannnn I don’t care what anyone says I love my bike road glide that is lol she might not be the quickest but it’s no replacement for Harley it’s more than motorcycles it’s the lifestyle 💯💯💯
I was thinking it was late 80s early 90s when the HD craze hit, and there wasn't any bike on the floor. One thing I remember is going to a dealer where they had two brand new 1984 Superglides next to each other. One had a shovel, the other an Evo motor. The salesman sugested the shovel would be better, as its refined, vs the Evo which was new and unproven.
Harley has continually invested in advancing forward. When they do, they get complaints about changing things. When they don't change, they get complaints about that too. If you look at their lineup today, compared to 10 years ago, every platform has dramatically improved. Lighter, faster, better handling, more comfortable....Thank you Harley!
Nov. 19th 2023 HD made a dream come. I bought not only my first motorcycle but my first showroom new vehicle period. My 23 FXST had 9 miles on it now it's at 7k......Now as a relatively younger and newer rider here's my issue with the 2025 year. For 14 months I've kept tabs on an upgrade or possible 2nd bike. Lowrider S, Lowrider ST, Fatboy or my dream bike, a Roadking. All of them have risen at least 4k. The RK was 21k MSRP in 2023 and Now it's 25 I believe but with fees 30k. A heritage is 23k, a ST 23k, a S is 20k. You can't tell me that's not absurd for base model bikes. The parts market is equally iffy. Parts for Softails are more expensive than for the baggers...How with less options?? And my final gripe wraps back to the pricing because I realllllllly want a RK. Folks would say look at the used market......Bro I bought my bike brand new why would I trade it in for a used one and if I purchased it as a second bike I'd still pay more than my basic Softail. I love HD ever since a kid when I had Electra glide toys but as a younger rider in this economy realistically people like me are being priced out. I'm not paying Road Glide money for a Road king and I don't want a Road Glide at all.
Thanks for the video, it almost seems like too many harly riders are trying to destroy the company from within by all the complaining they do about the bikes. Not saying there is never room for improvements but sometimes it just seems like the complains deters people from buying the bikes and becoming harley loyalists. This video is a good comparison between two bikes that often get compared… Gold wing and Harley… good job on putting it out there.
I love the choice of colours and finishes, but from a dealers and manufacturers point of view it must be a nightmare to predict what’s going to sell and what to produce and stock. I guess that’s why other brands don’t do it.
It's called engineered obsolescence. To keep you buying the new "updated" model every year. Like an iPhone. Actually, what you said makes me appreciate Honda a little more now.
Honda makes a good bike, but I prefer the look and sound of Harley-Davidson and the choices I have when it comes to customizing my motorcycle. Thank you for watching.
I wouldn't want HD to be like other brands because it's what makes harley unique.the style the colors the sound and most importantly the community. They always say they give us the same old stuff...I disagree.
Honda is smart, their bike is fully liquid cooled, fully counterbalanced, electric reverse, full LED lighting, gear drive primary, automatic windshield, EFI that's tuned to perfection. Here in 2025 I still do not understand the primary drive chain with Harley Davidson.
I miss that snake venom RK Special. That was the bike I always wanted but I'm stoked with SG Vivid Black 2025. I do think of maybe doing some HD orange accents on the tank and saddle bags. I've seen it done on older SGs and RGs
It's not Gold Wing vs Harley-Davidson. I'm trying to show how Harley-Davidson has a larger selection of color choices and how often they upgrade their motors. There's no doubt, Honda makes a good product.
And the goldwing still faster, and the better bike😂.. but Harley’s do look better. And the crazy part is if Harley can tune the 114/ 117 to have 120-130 horse power without a after cam and other 1000s of dollars in parts in labor, they just choose not to because that’s Harley’s bread and better having ppl spend thousands for a 5-10% increase in hp, ridiculous
@@GEN084 What you are saying is partially correct. Harley-Davidson could tune the bike to be much faster but EPA would be all over them. Also the Goldwing was once faster than the HD but not anymore, my 117 will kick the Goldwing butt every time.
Goldwing aka a civic on 2's the bottom line is Harleys not for everyone there is nothing cheap about ANYTHING with HD on it but for the most part we are family and it is the prettiest , best sounding (after exhaust change), most customizable, bike around and they age very well these metric bikes when 5 or 10 years old look it HD always look good if you don't like or its too much $$ for you bye lol.
I am looking to purchase my first HD bike this year looking forward to the announcements coming out on the 23rd! Harley Davidson is a life style.
I just saw my first two 2025 bikes today at my local dealership. Both bikes had new colors on them and they looked great! Awesome channel!
I haven't seen them in person yet, but I think the look good from looking at them online.
100% people just complain to complain. I'm with you on this Tall.
Harley-Davidson is a class act, and they work hard to satisfy their customers. I was an anti Harley person until 2014 when I purchased a 2014 ultra limited. I fell in love with the brand. That's awesome. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Change that suspension and you’ll wonder why you waited so long. 100% better
My story is nearly identical, came off Goldwings and got my first Harley in 2014 Ultra Limited, currently on a 21 CVO Limited
You are spot on Tall. It upsets me when people lately are complaining about how much the paint cost. A custom color gallon of paint can cost several thousand dollars. The added cost for Mystic Shift is the deal of the century!

I remember going into a HD dealer in the 80's and they still didn't have new bikes on the floor. Shout out to the OG's who paved the way.
Thanks for watching.
Great perspective and spot on! Love the channel and really enjoy the interviews I have seen with your family!
46 1/2 years riding wow man that’s impressive.
That was about 5 years ago and they both still Gliding!
I have Kawasaki Ninja but I've been watching your channel for a year and I'm ready to Glide on a Harley.
Keep your Ninja and get a Harley! That's what I did😂😂😂😂
Great video!!!!
They are definitely doing a lot of changes. Some people are always going to find something to complain about. It’s just the world that we live in.
I personally like the new colors, I can't wait to see them in person.
@ I like the purple myself. It’s my favorite color and my birthstone.
Well said! Harley has really stepped their game up with these new bikes.
Nice video Tall👍🏾
Hoping to pickup a new Road Glide this week. Thanks for your input 👍🏻
You are going to love it!
I bought a 2022 sporster 48 from white lightning HD at Chattanooga Tn and now I want to trade it for either a street glide or a road glide since I’ve been riding the bike for 2 years I’m more comfortable to move on to the big boys but once I do I’ll have to get a hold of you bc I noticed you filmed a lot video at bootlegger in my home town Knoxville so I can share my experience and hope they don’t make me go to Chattanooga to get a better deal, HD bikes is a life style and I love everything about the brand and I don’t care how much people complain about the price it’s not for everyone but if you work hard you will achieve your dream bike just keep doing the right things
thx Tall , great content
Great work Tall!!
I like your perspective on this! Great video!!
Thanks for watching. Keep Gliding!
This is a great post!
Thanks for watching
Excellent points!
Great points. You know what they say, people who have it the best, complain the most. 😉
That's true. Thanks for watching.

52 years riding. Currently ride a 24 Sharkskin SG. Thinking of a new CVO
Keep Gliding and thanks for watching.
Perfectly said TT!

Harley has always offered the best color options and customization for your ride. I’ve enjoyed being on a Harley pass couple of years.

Good video, maybe it will make the complainers stop and think.

Love my HD
I have a 2020 RKS 131 engine I will stay with it

Can't please everyone. No matter how hard you try some people will always have something negative to say. Thank you for watching.
Cars don't have major changes every year like they used to. Harley is held to a higher standard
Tri glide had the army color
Affordable entry level bikes!
Love your videos but your intro is waaaay to loud my man. Just feedback
I appreciate the feedback, I'll look into it.
Hello Tall. Be like other motorcycles???? What does that mean?
Sometimes it just takes a sit down from someone to put things in perspective. #truthinthedetails
Amen!!!
You are one brave man lol😊. . . Comparing a Goldwing engine to a Harley engine.
It's not Gold Wing vs Harley-Davidson. I'm trying to show how Harley-Davidson has a larger selection of color choices and how often they upgrade their motors. There's no doubt, Honda makes a good product.
👍
why buy a HD for 60k or more when you can buy a new bike for 20k or less
All those engine changes for Harley and the 1800 Goldwings will still run with them...that's the sad part 😂😂😂 why change a great engine
👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
🖐🏾🖐🏾🖐🏾🖐🏾🖐🏾🖐🏾

Harley is just so cookie cutter
And they are the only company. That can turn gasoline directly into noise. Without having Horsepower involved
🤣🤣🤣 There's no way you listened to anything in this video.
