It just looks fancier/neater/ really shows all of what material will be removed- for little videos for the public like this. A scribble with a pencil definitely does the job when you're just working though.. I'm guessing he doesn't do this for every marking on every project he does- just for videos.
@@keri5320 it is a radial arm saw. It is really cool tool, but kinda dangerous aswell, so only for professionals i guess. Especially with the dado stack on there. I use one now and again in ship restauration as a volunteer at “The Batavia” in the Netherlands. Wouldn’t trust myself to do work like this on that one though. I use a stopblock for accurate lengths and that be it.
If you've got it, use it, but I honestly just did the same thing with a band saw, and no chiseling needed afterwards. (Just need to set the band saw up properly off course)
Not criticizing by any means, more so curious...when you do your cuts on the RAS, why do you work towards the stop block versus start at the stop block and work the other way...again, just curious...damn fine work btw!!
Too many additional operations. The radial arm saw operation could produce the required result. The tenon will not be seen so any minor saw marks are not important.
DUDE!!!.... I'm liking the new table.......... I've made one epoxy coffee table.... you sir have inspired me. To make a new one...... thank you sir.....😂😂😂😂
You always nail it, dude. No pun intended! I really like the way you mark your layout lines and hash marks so there is no doubt what material is supposed to be removed.
I like how you under cut the corners a little bit to get a perfect fit. Will also allow glue to get the hole way to the bottom of the joint. This is a great way to make a strong fit up. You top notch work. I enjoy seeing what you make. 👍
When you have the equipments it is very fun to design and make it happen..but the master piece is when you make something with your barehands without the help of power tools..
It must be wonderful to have all those expensive machines, tools, gadgets and jigs available to hand. Loads of space. Meanwhile, in the real world.....😢
Even his cross-hatching is damn-near PERFECT.... 😂
Lol that's what I was thinking - who would take the time to mark out cuts like that!
Thank you very much

I'm always amazed to see what working with likely a $mil plus shop looks like. Awesome job!
🙌
If I had a workshop like this I would be constantly smiling as well
You have the coolest tools
Thanks very much!
@@dustylumberco what's the first one? Sliding drop saw with a height stopper?

A crafty tradesman. Always enjoy what does. Something new every time. ❤❤
Nice shop.
I think it was easier to build the table bench than doing the cross-hatching 😂
I'm wondering how much furniture you've made for your home 🤔
A bunch of pieces
im a driller for a drilling company and make great money but dudes like this make me wish I did something like this with detail and precision.

It’s a pity Freud won’t make a 12” Dado
I can only imagine the cost only for all that nice Oak lumber …….. 😮. Nice stuff
I kind of miss having a radial arm saw. The really do make nice dados.
U can get for free all the time on CL, depending on how much people live around you. Unless it’s a space thing at your place, perhaps?
Im sure it will be beautiful
Is that oak?
Yes
Awesome work 👌

I love the _”snap”_ that smooth, square stock makes.
Spends more time marking than cutting
Isso não é uma marcenaria, é um paraiso😅
You always look like you're having a great time making these projects. To me, using power tools is terror while trying to keep all my fingers.
Nice job my man, like u allways do... U should be named here nice job Dusty!

Sorry I do not understand what you're asking. Thank you
A coffee table that's good for when you're hosting your WWE friends and things get a little rowdy
Un uomo innamorato pazzo del suo lavoro.
Try doing it with a ryobi circular saw and chisels then that'll be impressive.
Nice machinery though 😅..!!
Thanks
As in wood talk, I also could do with those tools 😋
Do you make much furniture/projects without the use of machines and just chisels etc ?
The people who are new and asking “what is he making” the answer is…
Keep going
Almost there
I have no clue
top skills❤❤
Oh, I've got a tool for that ... and I know how to use 'em!
Just bought all those mashines you have to make a coffee table. Turns out it was cheaper to just buy the table 😂

just extra work when you gotta show off
I'll assume the extra steps and double handling were purely for the video
The steps I took were the process I usually take, I just mark heavier for the education as I've been asked to better show how to mark out cuts.

Why not take it to final dimension with the dado stack? Not precise enough?
