Back then, there were only three stations. We lived in NorCal, in the gold country foothills. We could only get reception for NBC. But in the late 60s, dad installed a new antenna that was directional. I then became a full time remote control-not just on/off/volume/horizontal/vertical, but I was charged to find the antenna’s sweet spot for each channel. We didn’t get a color TV until the mid 70s.

I got all but the very last one. I've never even heard of that show before. It's so funny how some of these theme songs made me remember what shows came on right before or after them. Some of my favorites weren't on here, like Gomer Pyle, My Three Sons, Dennis the Menace, Leave it to Beaver, Rawhide, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Dragnet, Gilligan's Island, Mr. Ed, The Courtship of Eddie's Father, Perry Mason, The Adventures of Superman, The Munsters, and my all time favorite... Kung Fu. 😃

I missed 6. Lassie, Rin Tin Tin, Sesame Street Bat Masterson, Green Hornet, Laramie. I was waiting to hear my favorite 60s TV theme song, but didn't. That would be one of the greatest TV theme songs of all time: The Avengers with Mrs. Peel and John Steed. Thanks, that was fun.

Rin Tin Tin I thought was Boots and Saddles and then panicked and went for F Troop!!!

@@roberthughes9856 Thats funny. Great minds think alike.
What do you think of my slight obsession with the Avengers? I have the box set of the series. I didn't start watching them until they first went into syndication and thought it was super cool. Must have been early to mid 70s. Didn't find out about the Honor Blackman era until after college. I was first introduced to her as Pussy Galore. I'm a big Bond fan too. I don't have the movies, but I have the soundtracks.
I guess I enjoy British TV. My latest binges are All Creatures Great and Small, Grantchester, and Call the Midwife. Brilliant!

I could not identify five of the tunes (due to having never watched the series), but not bad for a Brit. The Hawaii 5 O made me smile. When I was a police officer in the early 80's we modified one of the series catch phrases from "cuff him, Danno" to "cuff him and stuff him Danno" whenever we nicked a villain.

I thought it was interesting that for the US release of William Tell, they knew people would associate it with the Lone Ranger. So they wrote a new theme based on a different part of the Overture. Having heard both, I think we in the US got the better deal. :-)

We have an extra challenge in the UK as there was a 1950s show about William Tell with the overture as the theme so to be sophisticated here at a party we not only have to fight down the impulse to say "That's the Lone Ranger" when hearing this music but we also have to avoid singing "Come away, Come Away with William Tell, Come Away, Come away and run like Hell...." not the actual lyrics but every schoolboy knew this version.

I missed 15, they were mostly showed I didn’t watch. Some were my favorites like Twilight Zone, it was mostly ones without words.

Great fun! Level of difficulty is whether or not you know them. I didn't know any of the shows I didn't watch and I knew all the songs I watched!

Most of the ones in the hard category, I did not watch. A couple of them should have been in the easy category. Very nostalgic!

I missed "Sesame Street" (which was the very end of the 60s - premiered in 69), "Bat Masterson" and "Laramie".
I *would* have missed "The Adventures of Rin Tin Tin" if not for the bark there at the end.

Missed a couple, mostly only because I thought Bewitched was I Dream of Jeannie and I confused Bonanza for Gunsmoke, but I definitely didn’t see a couple of those shows

Missed 5. I recalled the original version of the Gunsmoke theme, before they went to one hour and color. Wasn't a fan of the Munsters / AF. First TV arrived in the house when I was five. Narragansett Bay

Here in Scotland your said to be cultured if you can listen to the William Tell Overture and not think of Robin Hood.

Only missed Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea & Doctor Who=didn't watch those two. Bat Masterson and Laramie either until they were on cable TV 😅. I agree that I Love Lucy/I Dream of Jeannie/The Brady Bunch etc should have been in the easy section 😂

I missed 2, Laramie and Rin Tin Tin. I would have thought there'd be more westerns from that era. The Virginian, High Chapparal, Rawhide, Branded, The Rifleman, Paladin, The Rebel, westerns were as big then as cop shows are today.
