The actual notepad was just used as a template.
The cover will be used by a piano maker, who will probably exchange the notepad.

Beautiful... absolute poetry to watch. Owning one of your items would be an honor and privilege. Many people do not realize that when you own something someone made for you like this you own a part of their lifetime. Moments in time that are imprinted onto the persons mind and soul for their life.

So I searched how to make a leather journal, and this video is about the 10th one down the list. Your video, even without commentary, is the most detailed oriented video with the same quality as your journal. Thank you for sharing this because it has answered a few unanswered questions I had that I could not find from the more popular videos.

Mirroring previous comments, this video is a masterpiece in itself, but as a side note I've never seen anybody open a zippo lighter like that, that's kind of brilliant and looks way more elegant than how I do it.

Gorgeous! I would like to get into leather working, and do so with the precision and detail I did for years as a TIG welder for nuclear power plants. And then an inspector. I have an eye for the most minuscule details. Your work is immaculate! This is like soothing ASMR for me

Thank you for the almost slow motion of this creation; especially your stitching. I have read references to using the awl and 'keeping it in your hand' during sewing. You demonstrated that beautifully. I appreciate you taking the time to post. This certainly helps me as I make some notebooks :o)

Looks great but for me the strap and buckle aren't necessary. It looks nice but the strap on the back of the cover would create a high spot and would make writing notes difficult with that bulk in the middle of the page. It's a small issue, but the rest of the work is so very well done. Thanks for sharing your work!
