I am surprised that no one mentioned that those Bee-Hive huts on the Skellic island was where they filmed a few scenes for starwars. It was supposed to be Luke Skywalker's sanctuary or something - not a starwars fan. I drove down with the wife and kids for a weeks holiday and while we were there the film crew were scouting out the location. No actors just the crew but they were staying in a cottage near ours.

I crossed Carrik-a-Reed bridge when it was planks and rope, i did it but have a serious fear of heights so it took some hours to get the courage to do the return journey 😂
I'm from the Aran Is, Bill Doyle photographer has great pics from the 60s, his books Island Funeral and The Aran Islands are gorgeous

My dad was from Ireland and my mother’s parents were from Ireland. I visited Ireland 3 times visiting family and yes it is very green there. The weather has a lot to do with it. It rains a lot and mists. Looking down from a plane it looks like a patchwork quilt because of all the stone walls separating the fields. Every field is a different color green. They say Ireland has 40 shades of green. It is beautiful.

Hi Dar! I know for a fact that the green in the video is accurate. I've been there and I found the green to be amazing. On days that have some clouds and some sun breaking through, the lit parts actually glow like glow-in-the dark neon green. Amazing! Thanks for reviewing this!

Skellig is where Luke Skywalker lived in the new star Wars movies. They filmed on the island a few yrs back

what you see in the video is the real thing.. Ireland is know as the "Emerald Isle" . There are about 18 different shades of green here and that is due to a very moderate climate. Neither too hot nor too cold and of course abundant rain

We get a shit tone of rain throughout the year. That's why it's so green

The Giants causeway is also right across the sea in Scotland. Beautiful

The rock formations of the giants causeway go all the way to Scotland (Fingals Cave). If you visit the causeway you must try to go in the winter or early in the morning as there are often large crowds.

Éire is Ireland. Saxons added the word LAND to the places the went, Eire became Eireland, Éireland was too Gaelic for the Anglo Saxons so the removes the É.

Visiting Ireland would have to be done a few times to actually see it
The cliffs and the giants causeway are all the typical tourist spots.
We have over 100 thousand heritage sites one of the most in Europe with two of them being world heritage sites which is huge for a small island considering the pyramids are world heritage sites.
