Russian Economy: 4+1 Reasons for an Economic Depression in Russia

- Theories and evidence for an economic depression in Russia. Based on Keynesian, Austrian, Classical, and Consensus theories of economic business cycles, I support my claim that the Russian economy's structural weakness in its current state could lead to a recession enough to end the geopolitical event in Ukraine. I hope so, as I want peace and to make the world a better place. I also have one bonus idea.

Absolutely, I have recommended it to a couple of people on other pro-UA channels.

You're a very smart man.
It is collapsing, because no country in the world is willing to use the Ruble any longer. This means that Russia can only buy what they need with their gold or resources.
The only reason that prices are affordable, is Putin's forced price controls.
Unfortunetely, they have a lot of recources: not only Minerals and oil, but willing obedient slaves.
@@friedrichjunzt this is why Ukraine is targeting their refineries and shipping
@@friedrichjunzt Russia has materials, but other people have materials. Many overlook Australia, Canada, Sweden, and the US.... Not to mention all other nations in between.
@@friedrichjunzt With emigration and war the number of obedient slaves is dwindling quickly. Not to mention lack of qualified youth necessary to support civil structure to a nation spanning 11 time zones.
What is affordable? Car loan payments and rent can take more than 75% of the average income.
I genuinely wish I was your neighbor. By the potato patch. You are living the dream.

🤣😂🤣😅🤣The World Bank’s annual national income rankings, released on Monday, showed that Russia has advanced from “upper middle” to “high” category on the strength of its economic growth.
The bank measures gross national income (GNI) based on a method dating back to 1989, and updates its classifications every July 1, based on the previous calendar year’s GNI per capita. The income is measured in the equivalent of US dollars.

One thing about the multiplier effect. I heard that Russia has a problem where people are spending too much (contrary to what you said) and it is causing inflation hence the high key rate, because domestic GDP no longer reflect the money circulating, especially because too much credit and mortgages were issued.
Is it a use it or lose it mindset?

I think those soldiers sent to Ukraine will be catastrophic for the russian economy when they come back. They are damaged goods on many levels. Some were seriously damaged goods long before they were sent to Ukraine. Will women want to marry these? Will they be productive in a civilian role? I think they will be problematic to say the least even if you don’t account for all kinds of damage to their bodies.
That sounds just awful.
@@barryfleming8488 not just for their economy, it will be bad for the entire society. Some murderers came back and they have killed people, it seems they felt invincible and that they could get away with anything. PTSD will be a big problem and there will be those that have limbs that stayed in Ukraine. Hard to imagine how hard life will be.
If Russia's going byebye, why are American's suffering more? And why is the US dollar being ditched as a reserve currency?
Indeed. He's just deflecting u.s problems onto another country.
They're not and it's not
If you think Americans are suffering more then that just tells me you have no idea what poverty is like in Russia, that people are willing to risk going into a bakhmut meat grinder for a few hundred dollars.

Russia is concerned now about ending the war, concerned about their returning troops creating social problems.
I love it!! And being a economist to some extent my self I understand your words that are pure wisdom. You should write a book each episode a chapter
Nettle soup is actually pretty good, the fresh green sprouts are good in salads too before they really develops their hairs
“Gold is money, everything else is credit” JP Morgan. US debt is $35 trillion, if you add in the unfounded mandates the amount is roughly $135 trillion. The US fiat currency is being challenged by the BRICS for role of reserve currency. Keynesian economics, unchecked immigration, and inflationary fiscal policies are a rot on the USA.
I can and never condone forced sudden “retirements”.
But you saying “If We will wake up one day and learn someone decided to force Putin to retire……somewhere warm” Made me LOL out loud!
That was a great delivery of a punch line… 🤜
This is beyond economics, incredible insight
I like the traders maxim- He who lives by the crystal ball will be forced to eat broken glass.
Coming from a family of machinist and toolmakers I have been saying from the start that the most important Sanction on Russia has been by the Swiss. The Swiss and Germans control the global export of machine tools, and while the Germans occasionally restrict export the Swiss have never cut anyone else off before. So for the first time an industrial nation has no access to machine tools. The importance of machine tools can not be underestimated, they are like the stemcells of industrial civilization, these are the tools that make all other tools which then make everything. The effect on the Russian industrial sector is like a body that cant replace its cells. The slow breakdown of everything in Russia is the end result, things like railroads and oil production are some of the most directly hit sectors with the greatest ability to cause negative impacts to other sectors.
Right on
Greetings from Australia. Thank you.

Anyway, some kind of resort had been built and it had a manager and his problem, among other things, was that the roof leaked. At some point there was a West German there who said he should make a request for quote from at least three companies. Alas, he had no idea how retarded things were in the gdr. Eventually a solution was found. The manager found skilled workers that could ”borrow” the material needed to do the work and they did when they could. In return, the families of these people could have a vacation there. Can you even begin to imagine how inefficient this was. This is what you get if you let russia run your country and economy. Don’t expect russia to have changed much from soviet era.
This is exactly my thesis as well.
Considering deflationary pressures since the 90s etc. Silent depression since 08 due to high debt and QE holding the money in the financial system.

As long as we have consumption, and the KNOWLEDGE to produce for it, we will stay ahead
