Russian Economy: 4+1 Reasons for an Economic Depression in Russia

  • Theories and evidence for an economic depression in Russia. Based on Keynesian, Austrian, Classical, and Consensus theories of economic business cycles, I support my claim that the Russian economy's structural weakness in its current state could lead to a recession enough to end the geopolitical event in Ukraine. I hope so, as I want peace and to make the world a better place. I also have one bonus idea.

I think those soldiers sent to Ukraine will be catastrophic for the russian economy when they come back. They are damaged goods on many levels. Some were seriously damaged goods long before they were sent to Ukraine. Will women want to marry these? Will they be productive in a civilian role? I think they will be problematic to say the least even if you don’t account for all kinds of damage to their bodies.

Coming from a family of machinist and toolmakers I have been saying from the start that the most important Sanction on Russia has been by the Swiss. The Swiss and Germans control the global export of machine tools, and while the Germans occasionally restrict export the Swiss have never cut anyone else off before. So for the first time an industrial nation has no access to machine tools. The importance of machine tools can not be underestimated, they are like the stemcells of industrial civilization, these are the tools that make all other tools which then make everything. The effect on the Russian industrial sector is like a body that cant replace its cells. The slow breakdown of everything in Russia is the end result, things like railroads and oil production are some of the most directly hit sectors with the greatest ability to cause negative impacts to other sectors.

At some point there was a West German there who said he should make a request for quote from at least three companies. Alas, he had no idea how retarded things were in the gdr. Eventually a solution was found. The manager found skilled workers that could ”borrow” the material needed to do the work and they did when they could. In return, the families of these people could have a vacation there. Can you even begin to imagine how inefficient this was. This is what you get if you let russia run your country and economy.
