You are amazing. I have learned a lot of things watching this video. I am arrived on cap 17 in hard mode, and I tried this battle. But for now i died against bahamut and Ifrit😏 so I decided to finish the game in hard, before retry this final vr battle. I like FF7 Remake. It is one of the best games of the 2020, and one of the my best favorites of all times. Even the combat system I like. After FF10 I didn't enjoy a FF. Thanks for the video. I know it's rather small, but the timer does tick ever so slowly during the slow-mo with the tactical menu. I noticed this while I was using the Corneo Colosseum 3 vs Shinra Warriors match to level materia on everyone. The only time I could get 14 seconds was when I spent as little time with the menu open as possible.
Fantastic as usual! I'm nearly a month late, so I don't know if you'll see this. However, I have a question, pardon me if you've answered this before as well, but why the Gil Up Materia? Is it just a case of having nothing better to put on? Does it boost Luck? Anyway, fantastic run, and I'm looking forward to whenever a sub 1:10 run is done!

So I'm working on Platinuming this game right now and was curious about a few materia choices, mainly what's the benefit to stacking multiple Refocus materia?
Every single one stagger differently, but mostly go with their weakness, Shiva = Ice, Chocobo = Ice, Levi = Lightning, bahamuth and pride dont stagger so bash em up :P
Everytime a new wr video comes out I think it cant go lower but you keep proving me wrong. And I noticed you used concentration in tifa's build. Does your bahamut opening go out the window if shes starts at level 2 chi?
No the bahamut opening does go out, I just have to adjust and do uppercut after omnistrike which does not slow me down at all, I do divekick instead of starshower at the end :P
Gonna try your build and have a go at speed running this myself now thats ive beaten all chapters on hard mode. Dumb question: how does tifa slide like that? And so fast? Is it a change to her dodge animation somehow?
Yeah, the parry materia change evry character slide when guarding. For doing it fast you need practice 💪 gl on improving my strategie and beating my time 👊
@@MasterslayerIX Turns out this is actually quite hard lol Ive got the Shiva, Chocobo and Lev fights down (although there are times when Aerith doesn't cast Firaga then Fira straight away to cause the stagger on Shiva and Lev gets away before I kill him when staggered). Bahamut is hard and Ive managed to get by once so far but he had 1/10hp left after the pressure ended and summoned Ifrit -.- think Aerith needed to cast an -aga spell somewhere and Tifa another true strike. P&J hadn't looked at him yet so just mashed square and thunder on his legs for the win. Am finding the timing of attacks must line up to cause pressure or stagger meaning I'm not fast enough with commands yet. 5mins down to 4mins atm. 2mins incoming..
Yeah, Shiva = 10sec (my best is 9sec with perfect rng). Fat Chocobo = 14sec (Doesnt require super high rng to get). Leviathan = 15 sec (My best is 13 sec with perfect RNG). Bahamuth = 20sec (18 with perfect rng). Pride 17sec (15 sec with perfect rng)
@@MasterslayerIX I thought you might have that data 😆 So "perfect RNG" meaning, starting the fight with enough ATB and getting more crits? I'm also assuming, given a "perfect RNG" run, you could theoretically shave off a few more seconds. I'd love to see you put that up soon. Keep up the awesome work dude!!
By going in the back of pride with tifa to make sure she gets the 10% increase damage from her weapons node and on levi with the concentration. I lost maybe 1 sec on bahamuth since he moved and I couldnt get behind him
@@MasterslayerIX I noticed slot of these times are getting shaved with the gottudamurung but i was wondering if you tried to get clouds Limit up to start of battle so that he could hit fat choco Levi or baha or pride with his to cut at least 1 battle shorter by a few seconds. Have you tried that?
No I did not trry that but envetually, if we want to cut it out even more, we will have to try new stuff out, maybe cloud lb is the way to go who knows :P

I see that you went the concentration route =) You could totally get your time down if Tifa had it against Shiva cuz then you wouldn't even have to use divekick at the end, omnistrike would be enough to finish her off. Did you try it on any Fat Chocobo runs? I think you'd save time with just omnistrike+uppercut+true strike, and that only requires 1 ATB bar which you could get with ATB assist and the 1 uppercut

If you are asking why i get 50% mp back, this question was asked a lot and I cant answer it, maybe there is a hidden mechanics where if cast a certain amount of spells or use a certain amount of mp, the game gives you 50% mp back but i never found the answer to why i could get 50% mp back

When you beat this challenge you receive the gotterdamerung which is an item that give you lb at the start and increased lb generation.
