Just finished the entire episode. amazing conversation, my big take away is knowing that I have time. And to maximize on every opportunity that comes my way. Balancing family and work seems to be a big challenge. And I guess not many people have figured out even with success, it often feels like when you can't pay bills, money is the answer to everything, but this is good insight to realize beyond this mountain I'm currently facing, there's another coming along. Awesome work man
This is gold. Even though I don’t aspire to be a narrative DP, I feel like so much of what Lawrence says translates to other creative professions in general, and I always love hearing how a DP created a certain shot because it’s just as helpful for shooting documentaries and music videos.
Yeah exactly. I was listening to the audio only version then I jumped to the video to see how Lawrence Sher lit the Joker and I was pleasantly surprised. Definitely not your average podcast interview lighting. It feels natural and special. Of course, great conversation too 👍🏻
The golden nugget i took away is is “well ok it’s your movie!” Is basically a bad sign and attitude to have and you should try to work it out at an appropriate time
