Dumji Festival

Dumji festival is a traditional sherpa cultural celebration to honor the birth date of Guru Padmasambhava and Khumbiyulha, the sacred god of the valley. This festival is alive in most places of Solukhumbu and specially Khumbu, Lukla, Rimijung, Namche, Thame, Khumjung, Pangboche, and Phortse.
The festival brings all the community people together from all walks of life. This culture has been preserved for generations and will continue for the future.
