@@korinoriz Ya! As far as I know the "keke" part is the sound of laughter like a witch or some weird creature, so I translated it as "heh heh" since it sounds similar. There's no way of knowing which word the "chitsu" part without Chinese characters or context, so I wrote both. This was my favorite name.
So I've been living in Japan for about 3 years now, so it's interesting to see that you guys are playing a game based on just random facts about things in Japan. Some interesting things to note. 7:21 the japanese keyboard layout. Usually people who are not used to using this get confused on how to type with it, but once you get used to it, its very easy. On the left side, you have your vowels listed at the very top: A,I,U,E,O. Then below each you have the characters that are the vowels with a consonant paired: K,S,T,N from top to bottom, with the "small" version of each vowel at the very end. The right side is basically the same, but the consonants are H,M,R/L,Y,W with some additional stuff. In the comments people are noting that the names you guys are writing are funny, but honestly when I'm reading them it's just gibberish. The names people are getting are clear to me that they're typing into google and see what comes up. 9:02 is selecting the theme for the questions as they say... From upper left and working down: Food, Japanese language, sports, history, vehicles, music, animals/ living creatures, geography, comics/animation, miscellaneous/random information, games, confirm (red box). Shortly after they choose the difficulty. Yellow, green and red are shown. In that order its just easy, normal and hard. 10:14 Quiz Selection クイズdeビンゴ Using quizzes to play bingo なすりつけまShow (based on the description it seems to be a game where you pass the responsibility of answering a question to someone else) 逆転ルーレットReverse Roulette won't bother translating a lot of the stuff here, because Scott's phone is blocking the screen and can't see the actual text, and also they press the button too fast so can't even understand what the questions are remotely asking. But just in case from 12:07 the theme is comics/animation so the questions were about who wrote certain stories or a name of a publishing company. 25:02 they switch to a different game and the very first question is asking about a unique flavor characteristic of tea {or something like that, I dont know because they skipped showing the rest of the question) but anyways the answers showed amino acids and other things like theanine, catechin, caffeine and tannin. 26:26 they finally show a question in its entirety, and its asking along the lines of who lead the Luffy's group when he was younger in ONE PIECE, the answer should've been number 3, 赤髪のシャンクス (Red haired shanks) 27:55 they are playing the last game, and the question is asking "in order to fight space monsters, Takaya Noriko pilots the "Gun buster ガンバスター) in what title?" I have no idea what this is, but the answer is 3 "トップをねらえ!" Toppu wo nerae! (Aim for the top!) 28:08 the question is asking "On roast beef, you can put a "western wasabi", what is the condiment called in English? and the answer would be 4, horse radish I'll stop translating since there is too many questions and I don't feel like it unless there's a request to do so.
@@SudsyDiamond I sure can, but there's not much to translate besides the last 3 minutes or so. But anyways, starting at 28:29 is the third question of that game and it's about puppy characters named "Puku Puku" and "Panta" and the question is asking "Puku Puku and Panta are the main characters in the Sugiyoshi Neighborhood in which comic written by Sayuri Tatsuyama "ぷくぷく天然何" (Puku Puku Natural something). The 'something' is essentially a fill in the blank in this case, so the answers were things that sound like the actual word they're looking for. 1. 回覧板 translates to circular notice but it is basically a bulletin board. 2. 町内会 neighborhood association. 3. 通信簿 report card. 4. 絵日記 a picture diary. The correct answer is 1, which makes the actual title ぷくぷく天然回覧板 Puku Puku Tennen Kairanban googling it makes the name sound unnatural in English so lets keep the name as Puku Puku's natural bulletin board. 28:46 the topic is about food and the question is essentially asking "in the times before the freezer was invented, things such as soy sauce and alcohol were added to fish products as a way to preserve them, what is this method called?" unfortunately for whatever reason, the answers weren't shown since it looks like it was edited out so I can't say what the correct answer is. 28:51 the question is basically asking "a name was given to the sound of biting into ginger for sushi, what is the sound called?" (Before going on with the answers, they all revolve around Japanese onomatopoeia which is the word created from the name of a sound or something (I'm American, and I still don't really know how to explain onomatopoeia, but I digress)) Anyways, 1. ガリ gari 2. ボリ Bori 3. カリ kari 4. バリ Bari. The correct answer is 1, which just so happens to translate to pickled ginger, when it's by itself . It's important to note that many of these answers wouldn't make sense if you said it once, for example, ボリ. Japanese onomatopoeia involve using the sound twice. So 2, 3, and 4 wouldn't make sense if you say those words once, but once doubled they become the sounds for "munching, scratching/crispy/ect, and tearing/etc" in that order. 29:13 is the sixth question and it requires knowledge of Japanese regional foods. In this case, it's asking about the Sendai prefecture (which is about in the north eastern region of Japan). The question asks about a particular fish product that is made by turning fish meat into a paste like substance and shaping it into the shape of a bamboo leaf (笹), and then skewering then frying it. And it's asking what is the name of this? The correct answer ends up being 3. 笹かまぼこ Sasa Kamaboko. Kamaboko is the fish paste substance that is shaped into a cylinder and it's steam. So in this case Sasa refers the bamboo leaf shape. 29:21 is the seventh question and it requires knowledge of Japanese holidays and events. In this case 3月3日 or March third is called ひな祭り(Hina Matsuri) or girl's festival or doll's festival if you want to know a similar name in English. The question asks, "in preparation for Hina Matsuri, what is the Arare (cracker-like food) that involves mochi rice that's steamed, fried and seasoned with sugar?" 1. Hina Arare 2. Sakura Mochi (rice cake with bean paste wrapped in a preserved cherry leaf) 3. Kashiwa mochi (rice cake that's wrapped in oak leaves) 4. Okoshi (rice cake that's typically cooked and hardened with sugar or syrups). The correct answer is 1, which is the cracker as mentioned earlier. 29:45 is asking about a series called "金色のガッシュ" (Zatch Bell for the English version of the series) The question is asking "in the series in question, what is the name of the person who is controlling Shelly's friend, Koko?" or something along those lines as this is a rather obscure question for me, but the choices were ピョンコ Pyonko ビクトリーム Bikutori-mu ゾフィス Zofisu ブラゴ Burago and the answer was Zofisu 30:03 goes back to food for the theme and it's asking "the storage room for wine in English is called a 'cellar' but what is the word in French?" The answer is 2, which is カーブ which is written as Cave in French( the pronunciation is likely different ). 30:14 the question part of this section is literally edited out so I have no idea what the question is about, but the answers were 1アゼル Azeru (Azel) 2ゴートGo-to(Goat) 3デュラン Dyuran (Duran) 4ロジャー Roja-(Roger) and the answer ends up being 4. Edit: also that 20:15 involved Mitsuteru Yokoyama.
People who can read Japanese text, what did Scott, Sam, and Eric wind up entering their names as?
Chitsunokeke, rarirere and roshi!tsu?
Scott?
Sam?

Happy Christmas Scott
being able to read a lot of this makes this so much more entertaining
EDIT: I sent this before the quiz started. Nevermind.

It was weird. I got a notification for this video at the same time as "You're not an RPG Guy". After I was done with that video, I tried to watch this one, but it was privated.

Wouldn't it be funny if I came back here in like three years after learning Japanese

If Scott even travels to Japan, he should be referred to as “Chitsunokeke”.
Scotts name translates to: Blood one takee.
Lots of mecha anime references here. Nice.
I'm by no means fluent, nowhere close, but I can read some Japanese and I'm not sure if this is made funnier or more painful by that.
ITS BACK
