Well, riding shovelheads and ironheads for 45 years done many a roadside repair, always carry tools, oh and a flashlight, once had to remove my tail light to light up a night time repair, 77 shovelhead, timer skinny ass bolt snapped off, removed advance, managed to get the broken end out of the end of the cam, just enough thread to bolt the timer cam directly to the end of the cam, fucked around for a while, got it running actually pretty good, rode it like that for about a year.
John is essentially correct about road testing bikes before dusk. I'm glad you guys stayed safe going out and back after helping out Craig. Hopefully, you'll get that panhead sorted out. Thanks, guys, for the video. Ride safe. -- W
