Rest in peace Mr. Mittens. Kudos for finding the key on intuition. That's always a good feeling. Now I'm curious. How would you harvest a liquid planet with seismic events?
I don't think the planet is fully liquid, it's just that you're in a gigantic blood vessel, the whole planet is a single living organism. The "seismic events" are probably its heart beating.
This reminds me that I once had a PTSD nightmare (during a series of other ones around the start of this year) where I fought a living planet... It was much more visually disturbing than this planet though, it had a bunch of eyes and flesh tendrils and stuff and I fought it after me and my family got sucked into a black hole. Before that we were sailing on a really bad raft getting onto an island in a post-apocalyptic world, I think it might've been the zombie apocalypse? Honestly really metal and kinda cool looking back at it, but that might be the insomnia and sleep deprivation talking, because I'm terrified of space, gore, the ocean, AND the zombie apocalypse.
@@suitov LMAO yeah it was pretty cool after I was fully calmed down a few days later. Do hope you can post more of this amazing genre heh, "Embrace the madness" as i say.
I kinda dislike when a horror game set in the industrial horror setting is a bit too on the nose. "contribution of product by any and all personnel" up to complete exsanguination. Ah yes the classic "if you don't complete your quota we'll just kill you" thing that appears in every single one of these games, just stated outright. Really believable. I'd much rather the horror came from the hazards of the job being supernatural + oversight and neglect, rather than outright "we're gonna kill you" malice from the corporation. The latter is so unfathomably unbelievable that it just removes interest in a game.
Lol no, you're way too optimistic/naive about corporations dude. A cosmic horror is believable to you but a company treating its workers really badly isn't somehow? LOL Get out of here with that, that's the most realistic part of any of these games. I don't think the planet is fully liquid, it's just that you're in a gigantic blood vessel, the whole planet is a single living organism. The "seismic events" are probably its heart beating.
@@asteroidrules So you're kinda like an IV or PIC Line eh?
I'd probably wouldn't put a whole ass ocean oil rig inside the vein something like a ground rig seems better
“Do we see something physically get caught in there?”
*blob slowly moves across screen*
Thank you for the words of encouragement, Mr. Mittens. Rest in peace...
Huh. Sounds kinda like the brethren moons from Dead Space.
But hey, you went toe to toe with a planet! Metal!
@@supercato9613 Wish I knew what that was, maybe I'll check it out!
@@suitov LMAO yeah it was pretty cool after I was fully calmed down a few days later. I actually had a lot of stuff related to black holes in those nightmares, and some pretty interesting prompts for horror movies (I'm a romance writer, but as a kid I was obsessed with horror content and wrote some really dark horror stories. Now I'm just squeamish :') might have to write some of those though)
Huh. I thought ptsd nightmares were usually based on traumatic things that really happened to you, at least that's the case for me. (I had/have cptsd and the nightmares were only really frequent at the start, few months after the trauma, they're rare occasions now)
Interesting to learn it can be more on the fantasy side too!
Loving the iron lung inspiration
Nowadays i can just find a game title and say "Manly definitely has a video on this game"
This game makes me feel like we are closer to a Flesh Pit National Park game or movie🥲 with the harvesting blood.
"Nah, theres a reason we should keep it on" i think that would cause a buildup of pressure, which would cause an explosion. In conclusion, the pipe would probably explode and leak blood everywhere
Actually, you're more likely to get delta-p'd (basically, the pressure traps you and YOU become the clog though in this game it'd be cool if it just sucked you into the pipe and you died instantly)
Spoilers: we even see other workers clogging the pipe
@ logical
"after a long string of poor financial decisions, gacha game" why you gotta burn me like that Manly, I only spent a single dollar ever on a gacha game! (though all thing considered my financial decisions since then have been poor)
yo Manly, watched your videos for quite a while now, and i find you to be surprisingly eloquent as much as you are humorous. I also especially enjoy whenever you post an interesting sci-fi/cosmic horror game, it is one of my favorite genres, ever since i have heard of interesting tales followed by a pinch of madness and a fear of the unknown. Do hope you can post more of this amazing genre heh, "Embrace the madness" as i say.
I love the humour in this game:
Clot dogs and Hemo’s pizza are great, and Hemorrhage Farms remembers is so good
you are easily my favorite horror game youtuber
"Seamen"
-manly probably
LOL that last ending reminded me of Simspons "The googles, they do nothing."
So any food made there... it's basically black pudding or morcilla
This is wonderful mix of Ironlung and a typical Mike Klubnika game
I thought this was a Mike K game at first when I saw the thumbnail
maybe I am imagining it but the sprinting sounded like a rapid heartbeat
I love this setting, was hoping it would be a multi day work game, that would have been perfection
LOL
Get out of here with that, that's the most realistic part of any of these games.
Also the "I've seen this before therefore it's everywhere and bad" stance is always, always a solid argument made by smart people with good opinions and know how to critique things in a useful manner. Definitely man, you're most definitely a smart person. LoL
"after a long string of poor financial decisions (Gacha games)..." ... I feel incredibly called out right now and I'm only 15 seconds into the video XD
Have you ever considered a cheaper hobby, like heroin? /s
RIP Mr. Mittens
A vampire would love to work here! Plus no sunlight to kill them.
I work customer service.
Can confirm that I would rather travel to an eldritch planet to be eaten than do customer service.
"I think that's like an eel."
When an eel has a maw with a pharyngeal jaw, that's a moray~🎶
@14:09 this is when you realize Manly didn't watch the famous Delta P video.
Or he did and decided to ignore what it said
When it’s gotcha, it’s gotcha!
I love how you can hear the heartbeat of the planet. That’s such a neat detail.
This is the amount of blood I find after I wipe
Worst fear for someone with hemophobia
let's be real tho, everything is better than customer service lmao
This is actually a super cool concept
Conjunction junction, what's your function?
"Alright boys, we're drilling deep this time. Gonna set up a pumping rig on a living planet.
Do Deep Rock proud, and come back alive"

A sprint and crouch button are never good omens 😅
Right off, I really appreciate the up-front presentation of mechanics and world-building together! Like the notes regarding the lift
