For the hand at 8:23, I often like to incorporate bluffs with small sizings on rivers where draws miss. If you bet just $20 there he really can't call. Obviously if he has a J or 10 he'll never fold but that's fine. It's of course dependent on player type. Aggros will bluff raise knowing that you're full of it. But with passive recs/nits it's a small investment to fold out those ace high hands. I've had a lot of success with small size bluffs in general. To certain player types it looks scarier than a big bet because they figure no one would bluff for that size therefore it can only be value. Anyway thanks for another great video.
I agree 💯 looking back at this hand I do think a river bet is good since he will have pairs with a straight draw that will fold a lot and all his A highs that where FD and straight draws. Don’t have to make it a big size and I do think a lot of 10 will fold to a triple barrel

IMHO you play very tight and are only waiting for premium hands. The downside of this is that it makes your playing style quite predictable. I would probably call hands like 7-9 sometimes. It’s actually Antonio Esfandiari’s favorite hand. My advice would be to mix it up a bit more which makes your game less predictable. Good vlog by the way.
Hey man! Thanks for watching! I do think I should be more aggressive compared to how I played but not by widening my range. Tight aggressive is usually the most profitable
When everyone is folding to open raises you need to loosen up your opening ranges - a lot. Keep loosening until they start to call. Believe me, they won't let you raise 10 times in a row without starting to call.
I definitely agree that you can widen your range when the table is being very tight and over folding

Keep your head up man. Your play has been solid just have to try to play your game unaffected by the bad run, which admittedly is so difficult

I like seeing the hands you fold as it adds realism to the vlog, that what happens during most of your time at the table, but you don’t have to narrate them. Hearing you call off your hands is unnecessary. Just saying you have a run of bad hands is sufficient.

If I played for a living I would prefer to play in the evenings and weekends. Seems like Jamul is full of retirees during the morning hours.

Babbo, these super tight tables at Jamul $1/$3 need to be exploited more frequently. These small stakes games with short stacks need to be put to the test every time you open pre. They are too comfortable calling $12 raises preflop so make it $18 or $20. With your tight image this will be a lot more effective and help narrow your opponents (especially the tight ones) range for the post flop play. I do love your channel because you’re the only one showing all the folding hands. I think it would be even better if you make it easier for us to see your position in these hands; maybe some kind of widget in the corner of the screen that show your position relative to the button. Please keep this channel going, I really do think you’re on to something with this unique format. Lastly, I hope I’m not coming off as critical, I’m just trying to offer support and hopefully some useful advice. I do play at Jamul and I know this $1/$3 game is exceptionally tight; I think there’s tons of opportunity for you to be 3-betting more preflop, especially when you’re in position. Even show a strategic bluff once in a while to one of the more reckless opponents and it’ll do wonders for the table and get your more action when you do have a legit hand
Hey man!! Thanks for watching! I agree 💯 I’ve been working a lot on my game to be more aggressive both preflop and post flop specifically in these tight games. I like sticking to my 12 raise unless it’s a super call happy table that I can still get called wide with a bigger size. That is a cool idea to always show the position of every hand. I’ll see how it works for the next one!
Listen to efg - his advice is right on. One example, you flatted 9Thh on the button. Worst of the 3 options with 3 bet being the best. Bluff a little more when you have the range advantage and you aren't OOP against an OMC that actually has the range advantage.
You said you are working on your game. I'd challenge you on that. Your game has basically been the same for the past number of months. If you believe you are playing more aggressively, I'd suggest doing a real analysis. I think you may be disappointed.
I'd say these were tough-ish 1-3 tables to navigate, what with small stacks and nitty lack of action. But, can you really call 1-3 tough? A buddy of mine recently laughed at me when I described a 1-3 table I was at as really tough.🤣🤣🤣

It's tough to make more than minimum wage because you can lose money also. Pulling in some income while growing this channel as a hobby is probably the first step. But for now, definitely dont quit your day job.

Can you make a living playing 1/3? The question is, Why the hell would you want to? Let's say you are crushing it and can make 12BB per hour. That's $36 an hour before tax and you also would need to buy health ins, and life insurance. Might as well just get a real job.
Until you can crush 5/10 - it's just not worth the time.

Cannot make more than min wage in these games too shallow this is the shallowest 1/3 ive seen but i think you need to apply more of a 3 bet or fold strategy just my thoughts enjoy the set up though

Premise: you are a much better player than me. Lately I restarted to go to play live (I live in Prague and there is the casino where you can play 0.5-1 USD, suuuper cheap) and I realize one thing: when I am winning in the black for 1 or 2 stacks, I stand and leave. The issue is that if I don't get into this state of mind, I am going to play until something bad happens. also, it helps to build momentum, and putting 3-4-5 positive sessions in a row. GG
If I’m in a really long bad run I may call it early to book a win for the morale but that’s pretty rare. It’s all one long sessions as long as being up money doesn’t affect your game in a bad way.
Do you usually fold your unsuited aces? Is it because of your position? I would suggest playing some of those hands to widen your range.
I think it’s too wide to be playing a lot of unsuited aces. If you want to widen your range I’d usually go for suited hands. Big mistake a lot of recreational make is playing way too many combos of Ax

your vpip is too low ur getting folded against too much when you have anything decent and make a raise flop, try to bet smaller on flop if ur vpip is gonna be so low or try polarizing your range so they dont expect you having something so often
I definitely have work to do in my game. One of them is being more aggressive post flop. I don’t think honestly what you mentioned is the way to go IMO. I don’t see the reason to bet smaller just in general because I’m tighter or that polarizing is the way. I’d prefer just to widen my range in a linear way than to go polarized
