    Suggestion for future modifications, I have an AuxBeam relay bus installed on my rig with a remote switch panel inside the cabin. This relay box eliminates the need to run a whole bunch of wires around the vehicle. Simply hook main power to the relay box, then using the quick connect terminals on the relay box, it allows you to simply clamp the wires from whatever accessory you're going to run to the relay box which is provided power from the charging system/battery. Each switch on the switch panel is associated with a different terminal on the relay box. It took about 45 mins to install and has saved so much headache running power wires and separate relay triggers. Your videos are awesome and I think that trying this simplified method will help you later on. Take care!

      Hey Ben, i've been contemplating for a while now whether to continue with this truck or pick up a GX470 to build. I've been looking night and day for a good deal but to no avail, the market is kinda ridiculous right now. But definitely a light bar after a slimline roof rack for sure. These light pods are most likely not going to stay on unless i hit the mountains. Looking for a good place within the engine compartment to store them when not in use. (=

    You the man Bob. Question for ya..if I have an OEM style switch for ditch lights and want to illuminate the switch when pressed while the headlights are on, which wire would I tap on any of the other factory switches?

    • @GXBOB
      @GXBOB  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I wouldn't do the headlight tap. Instead, i would find one of the current OEM switches or displays that light up when i flip on my parking lights and use a fused relay to power my ditch lights. Much easier.

    Nice video. One concern some have with magnet connections is abrasion from particles (sand, dust, etc.) getting between the magnet and clearcoat. If utilized infrequent/occasionally, then may not be an issue.

    • @GXBOB
