I haven't been able to fish in 15 years because of work. It kind of became a after thought until I got hurt. I went for the first time 3 weeks ago and I discovered that I have a few baits that need touched up. Now I gotta find a boat or a buddy with one. I've enjoyed watching your videos

I risked my life for my favorite bait last fall(can't swim lol and went in after it) Fishing from shore hung it in a tree branch that hung down near the water. Waded out to my chest to the edge of a drop off and attempted to cut the huge branch down. Judy as it was about to be cut the bait fell out of the tree and started floating down river. I got it before it floated away
DIY molds are the shizzznit! got one for my birthday and i Love it. I love 6th sense jigs too but i lose them and my wallet hurts. Also, got a pair of prescription Waterlands. Going to do a review next weekend at the lake. So far I'm very impressed.

A 6’x2’ piece of chain link fence weighted with cinder blocks drag the bottom in the area you lost it and you should get it back! Great work on the hinkle!
Hey Ben...being so close to the Gulf when the specs and reds run you should give that a try. I once had family in Lake Charles LA and we would fish Cameron.....wow...it was the best fishing I have ever had....that was 20 years ago though....fast and furious.
You can make your own lure just go get your mold or get your camera out and measure how much you wanted they make plastic fish and a lot of places you can do it I have confidence in you make your own big lur people do it all the time get you some epoxy from you some wood I don't know you can do it I know you can you can make it if you can make it I know you can go after man you made me happy keep up the good videos proud of you

I just sent a shad, 2 rainbow trout and a 12" pike to Texas. Now I know why they went to Texas. Had 4 smaller lures and 4 bait cages in the box as well. 👍
You should order a super strong magnet and go back to that lake and drag it around the area where you lost it. Me and my brother always pull in lures that people lost with our magnets, you would be surprised at the amount of tackle that I have gotten for free. I am in Baltimore md, but if I was in Texas I would go retrieve it for you at no cost. Like I said Amazon has those magnets and most of them come with 30 to 50 foot of rope.😉
I have heard some big swim bait guys say to use a heavy mono maybe just a heavy mono leader to prevent those braided line snap offs. I have snapped off a few jigs and other baits on straight braid myself and run a 20lb leader now. It seems like solved the problem for me. I certainly not a big swim bait guy so not sure how good that info. is. Just seen a few big swim bait guys recommend it that are local to me here in DFW.
Hey to be honest I know the feeling but I make them to just have thing to throw keep up the amazing work cus you will feel more accomplish when you spend 2 days crafting it out of wood then making it move just right in the water and catch fish of it and then lose it. That just makes it more meaningful and make fishing not just fishing but a part of you life keep up the amazing work I would love to fish with you some time
They love big baits. My 2 biggest came off of Lake Fork both on the same bait, An Arborgast mud bug . I swear that lure weighed 2 lb and sounded like a bucket of nails hitting the water

Go on swimbait underground someone there will have one for you! Also that’s why I fish my big glides with a 30lb mono leader give it some stretch to help avoid breaking on a backlash and to keep from pulling hooks.
I've never lost a bait that expensive or with that much work put into it although I have had my tackle box get stolen with with a more spendy price tag all together so I feel a little of your pain I hope you are able to find another one..... or for 6th sense to make something of its own along the same lines and maybe a more inexpensive price point. ...
Maybe... Did you mark on your scope exactly where your lure went in the underwater? If so, a good scuba diver with a light scope might be able to find your Hinkle. Maybe a Fan out there has the skills and equipment needed or a fire/rescue team member could step up for ya. That would be an AWESOME VID ON OVERLOAD, FOR SURE! It's a thought worth 🤔 pondering.

that’s s why I don’t use braid on swimbaits anymore. 20-25lb fluoro is what I use for big swimmers and glides now
