As it turns out, they're pretty helpful for helping people figure out how to repackage the thing! Unfortunately, I didn't find any that demonstrated this.
I still have my GameCube and play it all the time. Super Smash Bros Melee will always do justice for me. Favorite game of all time. I have the indigo/purple GameCube and it looks phenomenal. It has the digital AV out too but I don't have the cables for it. I love the system, 2nd favorite game system just behind the Xbox 360.
For whatever reason, I have a Japanese GameCube manual in my basement. I remember my brother mentioning that our parents ordered the GameCube online and it might've been an import, but that doesn't make any sense because they're region locked and I don't think we ever owned any Japanese games. I have vague memories of our GameCube breaking a couple times and us needing to go to EB Games to replace it, so the one we have now is definitely a North American version. But that manual is still there, and it existence is a mystery.
Wow, that was a surprise! I remember watching your "Nintendo Unboxed" series in 2014, I believe. I use to love how stylish the Famicom and the Super Famicom truly were (with their gray and colorful boxes, respectively). I'm glad to see that the series is back!
The GameCube is my absolute favorite Nintendo system I have a lot of good games on it and with the Rogue Squadron games and Luigi's Mansion with the awesome graphics it's my go to system it was my first system I bought myself with my money doing dishes sadly I didn't bought it when it was around I bought it on eBay but I was really happy.
According to an article I read about the GameCube, Nintendo at one point wanted to make a portable version of it that you can connect to a TV via a docking station similar to what would eventually become the Nintendo Switch. Imagine how cool that would have been.
The good o'l gamecube, I've never owned one personally, but I might buy a pre-owned or refurbished gamecube and probably grind Mario Sunshine, Hiyaa Fox on Melee, Party on Mario Party 4 - 7, and playing double kart, in Mario Kart Double Dash!
I actually pay attention to your unboxing videos so if I get a console that is sold complete, I know how to unbox it since I know you’re a completionist who has these things in the best condition as possible
@@yauy I actually haven’t bought a console complete in a while. I’m mostly buying games right now. I have been getting DS, GBA, Wii, GameCube and Xbox 360 games right now cus I’m into retro games from the 2000s
I think that might have played a role, especially for long RPGs. However, I think Nintendo was also hindered by its reputation with third party developers in regards to producing top-tier first-party titles and cutting into their profits with all of their strict, controlling policies. Plus, there was a strong new competitor in the X-Box.
In my opinion I think the gamecube did pretty well because I hear a lot of people say that they love the gamecube and also in my opinion I think the virtual boy is the worst selling consuls
These videos are so helpful for collectors. It’s a great way to see what should be in the box when you buy on eBay. Thanks for making these, Bob!

It was the best Nintendo Console ever. Mario Sunshine, Smash Melee, Mario Kart Double Dash, Kirby Air Ride and so many more. I still love these Games.

Brings back memories of Christmas! I got my indigo GC in 2002 (8 yrs old) with Mario Sunshine as the pack in!

Can't believe its been 20 years

That was my favorite console ever along with the first Xbox console.

Gamecube was/is my favorite! Thanks for the video.
Just picked one up for my collection such an underrated system with great games.
you can get the GCHD adapter for the console(only ones with digital AV only) which can let you use Wii component/HDMI cables
I love the GameCube and I’m so happy to see you covering it
Cool Bob My Favorite Nintendo GameCube!
When you say newer consoles, it is understandable since it uses newer hardware than cartridges, discs
I was looking forward to this!
I always laugh at the Limited Edition Platinum badge on the box! It was sold for at least 4 years!
Wasn't very limited, was it? 🤣
@@yauy Spice was more limited. That was only sold in Japan!
Serial port 2 was only ever used for a developer device called the ProDG
I’ve been waiting ages for this thanks
My inserts have an extra cardboard flap that covers the controller after you remove the AV cables but all else is the same.
Such a pretty and aesthetically pleasing console
@Mr. NoName Looks like a lunchbox, and?
You could be right. Cute or "chibi" things might be more popular in Japanese culture.
@Mr. NoName Playstations were boring black boxes up until 5, where it looks like a router. I'm tired of black box designs
I have the Gamecube for my birthday this year and it have a Game Boy player
Your vids are so relaxing 😌
My favorite Nintendo console
LET'S GOO FINALLY THE GAMECUBE
The platinum edition wasn't introduced until 2002 i know because i got that edition with resident evil zero.
11:20 At least it didn't sell badly like the Dreamcast

That's great! We differ greatly on what we consider to be retro. 😁
Do you think if the Gamecube did use regular DVD discs, that would've affected the 3rd party support & overall success of the system differently?

"2001 I finally got laid and opened my to a whole new world and video games didn't seem so cool"
Will you be doing the 2006 Nintendo Wii or to recent?
La gamecube la mejor del 2001
Its kinda weird but I think Gamecube is the only system with a handle.
Although it's not a proper game console, the Famicom Data Recorder had a handle. More on that on October 29th... 😁
@@yauy oh wow never knew that. Nice reviews btw

Well the reason it failed is cus the discs were smaller and couldn’t hold as much data as PS2 and Xbox discs
Que ese nunca lo usaron??
Finally
Cool
Edit: Yay first
