In My Hero Academia Deku is about to lose EVERYTHING, and not because Shigaraki is taking One for All, but because Deku is actually about to give it away. but the second user Kudou actually fills us in in detail in Chapter 413, where he tells Deku that All Might has noticed a rift inside of Shigaraki’s mental state thanks to Star and Stripe, where Tenko Shimura can still be found. Kudou explains that his plan is to GIVE Shigaraki All for One, but instead of just transferring it to him it’ll be more like they’re forcefully giving it over, in a way that’ll break open the rift inside of his soul and allow Deku in to finally save him. They’ll be doing this by using every single quirk in One for All as a weapon itself, with each user going to Shigaraki VIOLENTLY, like when Bakugo passes something like a pencil to Deku. Even something as nice as passing a pencil can do damage depending how the person does it, so Kudou and All Might are hoping that this will actually get the job done, however not all of them are convinced since it also leaves Deku without any of the One for All quirks besides Black Whip who is ordered to stay with Deku, while also empowering Shigaraki with all of their abilities. Either way this is a REALLY risky final tactic, but as we reach the CLIMAX of My Hero Academia, do you think Deku will actually succeed in saving Shigaraki, and if so where does Tenko’s life go from there, after everything that he’s done?

Damn bro it's all coming back full circle now, at first the previous holders of OFA were telling deku to kill shigaraki because he was beyond saving and him telling them that the power of OFA wasn't meant to kill but to save and now them realizing that he was right and just like how they trusted him he now has to trust them to do what is right by pretty much sacrificing themselves to save him it's pretty poetic if you think about it.😢

I really hope Midoriya keeps atleast one quirk, it would be so sad to know that his dreams die because he wanted to save one last person, and I don't think Eri could reverse one for all back to Midoriya
tbh, it seems unlikely (but not imposible) Horikoshi is the type that would either make him fully lose his quirk but still be a hero, or somehow get his own quirk
He’ll probably stay with base OFA and Blackwhip since both Yoichi and Banjo are staying with Deku during this fight while everyone else goes to Shigaraki
He will probably only have blackwhip and strength enhancement and be a hero with only those 2
I like the idea of him loosing his quirks and returning to a normal human could have a battle suit like all might
He won’t keep the power, from a good writing perspective at least. I’ve been saying this for a while but the part where his future self is narrating and says at the start of season 2 “This is the story of how I became the greatest hero” must mean in the sense that Deku made the greatest sacrificial act, not that he’s literally the strongest at the time of narration. The perfect ending for an anime like MHA is the full metal route, Deku must lose his powers.

I knew a long time ago that Deku was gonna give OfA away. The moment we learned that the only reason Deku could handle it was due to him being quirkless I knew that OfA was gonna fall into AfO’s hands and that his body would fall apart
I'm genuinely amazed AFO hasn't hit quirk singularity yet since OFA started peaking with considerably less quirks than AFO. Shigaraki and AFO have possibly hundreds of quirks while only quirkless users can handle OFA since there's too much sheer power stored up among the quirks 😅

Not necessarily, becoming the greatest hero could mean other things.
For example a great hero sacrificing everything to save everyone makes him a great hero in the minds of everyone.
He’s losing everything except the stockpile quirk and Blackwhip. But with that he can still be the greatest hero, saving everyone then rebuilding a new OFA in a safer environment for future users of the quirk. He’ll continue to strengthen it then pass it down, cementing him in the story as “the greatest hero.” As he saved everyone and created a new version of the Quirk to continue saving people even when he eventually dies.

Honestly, yeah. I just read the last 20 chapters today and throughout the whole time, I was desperately wishing for him not to end up quirkless. Not only is it cliché but it also makes all of his hard work and training seem useless. I could go on and on why I don't like it but it feels like a waste of time (unless someone wants to read it). Anyways, I noticed the build-up since All Might's fight with AFO, where he lasted long enough and also stated, "I realised now that you can still become a hero even if you're quirkless." But, Deku might get his quirk/quirks back because in chapter 423 he kinda fist bumps with Shigaraki, and there is blood from wounds on both sides. Either Shigaraki might have willingly transferred it as One For All, or transferred ALL the quirks as All For One since touch is needed for transfer of AFO. But don't get your hopes up.. it's more than likely he'll remain quirkless due to the heavy build-up. Eh, just theorising since the next chapter's coming in 3 days and i wanted to remember a few theories I have since it'll all be clarified in chap 424.

I don’t think he will be powerless again in the end, I could see him keeping the stockpile permanently but having to re build it up to what it was having been severely depleted in the end, I’d hate to see him completely depowered, probably my least liked thing in fiction.

Honestly I think this makes perfect sense, think of it when MHA first started we hear Deku narrate his story in the same voice not sounding older "this is the story of how I became the worlds greatest hero" not just japans #1 he saved the world, this could show that when he gives his power to Shigaraki it does work in defeating him but in the end he doesnt keep or regain One for All and the world is what recognizes his sacrifice not just Japan! This is just a theory though lol, I dont know if its intentional the narrating of the story by Deku done as "kid" sounding or not-

I noticed the build-up Horikoshi had for this since All Might's fight with AFO, where he lasted long enough and also stated, "I realised now that you can still become a hero even if you're quirkless."
I get a feeling that theyll isolate all his aditional quirks and leave him with decay, the combined quirk factor seperates from Shiguraki and explodes due to the singularity etc. At the end Shiguraki is crying saying nobody dares even hug him or touch him so friendship and forgiveness impossible, Deku runs in without thinking and hugs him telling him everythings going to be okay because "I am here."
I hope he's able to keep black whip becasue i just love the visual.

Plus Monoma wasn't able to copy his quirk he only got a little bit of lighting glow but nothing else, the same thing happened when he tried copying Eri’s quirk and he just got her horn but not the powers

I predicted that he would lose one for all, but i thought he would give it to afo to kill him because they said that if ofa was transferred again, it would kill the reciever.
The problem with this is that Shigaraki is no ordinary person, he has been enhanced and modified to be able to take multiple quirks. Even ones that Afo himself couldn't, plus his body can adapt.

I have to say that I do not like this. Even though Shigaraki can be saved, I say it's far too risky and has a much larger chance of failing than succeeding. Also, if the plan does fail, then Shigaraki will have all of OFA's powers except for Black Whip, which will make him unstoppable. So it's honestly better to just end his life than to take that risk. Not to mention how likely Shigaraki would be to go back to his evil ways in the first place even if they do get him help because tons of people will probably ridicule him and still call him a monster just because of what he's done. They can destroy his mental state all over again, and there will probably be people protesting against him and the heros for making such a decision to save someone who has caused so much pain, death, and destruction to thousands and thousands of innocent people.

But yeah, it makes zero sense to me because, like, okay, I get that the author wants to make it a happier ending with Midoriya saving Shigaraki, but by doing that, it really lacks a sense of realism. Yes, I know this is a fictional story, but seriously though, can't the author at least have the characters make more realistic descisons? Like the rule about not killing villains is honestly rediculous. Seriously, you expect to fight villains as heroes and not be forced to kill any villains at all to save an innocent person, or even a bunch of innocent people?
