As an old man on a remote Scottish island, it is an absolute delight to have my days brightened up by such pleasant and smiling company AND learn something new too. Thank you, you do a lot of good
Laura, your such a winner and super star already. I think you underestimate your impeccable farming and all-round intellect, I’m proud of you and I don’t personally know you. 💃💃💃Go Girl…
Laura, I love videos. We have row crop farmers here in Batesville, Arkansas. You have taught me so much about farming that i didn't know. Thanks for learning and teaching the viewers while you learn.
back in the 80s and 90s i worked on a farm and the equipment was changing a lot back then, cabs getting quieter and having air con, what a difference that made, wasn't nice sat in the cab, we burnt the stubble and the soot still used to get in the cab with all the window shut and of course i would sweat a lot so by the end of the day i would be black. there was no gps either so you had to pick a point normally using the tyres or mirrors so you didn't overlap when cultivating ect, i didn't have a phone they was like bricks and very expensive, all i had was a radio to listen to so was very boring . every day was a learning day not one day was the same. its really interesting to me how all the new tech has not only made things more accurate but safer too. thank you for sharing how this all works. keep up the good work. hope you have a great harvest will be watching to see how it goes.
very cool! I work for the company that builds the AutoTrak assembly (large rectangular pod behind steering wheel) in Urbandale IA, it is very cool to see the completed unit in use. We also used to build the test stand that would let you take a planter module and power it up for testing in the shop. (these may have been a dealer or ag tech sector item?). Technology is an amazing thing.... there is a reason ag equipment has lots of zeros in the price tag, the capabilities are unparalleled. Hat tip to you and Grant for sharing your journey - don't forget to show yourself some grace every once in a while - you are doing fantastic! We never stop learning - the more we learn, the more we can share knowledge and contribute - your chance to shine.
Thank you both for farming. I live in east Tennessee and here farms are dying. As farmers get old and retire/die the family sells the land for development. It is so sad.
I am a 68 year old man from the suburbs I always wondered about everything on a farm as I drove by and saw the silos unless it was corn I never knew what they were we're growing. Thanks to you you I've learned a lot. I also learned about cows from the 10th generation dairy farmers.
Great afternoon to you lady. Please don't stop your closings with a wave, a smile, and your cheerful smile. It's enjoyable for you and not like all the other cookie cutter closings. Always believe in yourself and be different
You have nothing to prove to others! you have proven ur skills and knowledge by simply doing the job, but also your problem solving when planting and with the machinary! Great work!
Cute couple! You 2 work very well together. Glad the oil leak wasn't any worse than it was. Look forward to seeing you and Grant in those videos you put out. Grant does your Dad have anyone helping him while you and Laura are farming together? Happy planting...
Laura you're too cute.... you have taught me everything I know about farming... was always curious what the sprayer / destroyer was and now because of you I know what that is used for.... it is fun learning new things so thank you for sharing 😊
I always heard it referred to as "coming into your own" , IDK why, but I can tell you from experience, that it is the single point in your conscience that you realize that: " Hey, I am the man. I know as much or more than they do about what's going on. Your not going to intimidate me anymore." So from now on, YOU are the man, be the boss!
I've been watching since the beginning. I can see the differences in style of video you put out now compared to in the beginning. You have gotten a lot more confident and knowledgeable about what you are doing while farming and it shows in your videos. In the beginning you sort of referred to your dad's knowledge when you planted, harvested or needed something fixed. Now you seem to just tackle it yourself with Grant's help if extra muscle is needed. The one thing that hasn't changed is your enthusiasm for farming and that huge smile while explaining to a dummy like me that knows nothing about farming what you are doing and why. Thank you and keep up the good work.
I really don't think that people understand how much work goes into farming. There was a recent article in the National Post here in Canada that went over the fact that young people in Canada can't actually afford the cost of farming because the land is stupidly expensive. We are slowly destroying the industry that feeds us, which is tragic. Glad I found your channel and I support you and other farmers 200000%. Society thinks everything they eat is produced by magic and unicorn dreams, and that it's a Disney movie; they don't see the blood, sweat and tears that go into every kernel of corn, every bean, every leaf of lettuce, etc. Kudos to you both. RESPECT.
Laura, Everyone is A neophyte something sometime. Your growth continues. Your videos are great, and your farm education is going along great. I have been fascinated by the size of the farm that you and grant work. The complexities of the equipment and planting crops has been really interesting to watch. You do have the educating the people about what you do on your videos down very well. I Totally enjoyed watching you and Grant. 😊it appears that you two have a great love and respect for each other, and that works on running your farm together. God bless. Have a great day.
Laura, for your age you are very advanced with your knowledge of farming, I bet you could even teach someone older a thing or two. Regarding filming your videos, it is like farming, the more you do it, the more you learn. Love and best wishes to you both from Mike. ❤❤
Well darlin' you've already accomplished the goal with me. I grew up on my uncles farm and have driven the BIG tractors and pulled large discs and planters, also worked as a younger boy doing the nasty hard field work and getting mud dirty the whole day. I've had conversations with my wife about many tings that Laura taught me today on her channel and how its so odd learning about farming from her. And she as well as myself do love the way that yours and Grants tractor looks with the fat tires!!
Laura and Grant , iI have learned so much about water, towers and engines powering you. It so refreshing to get to know you both. Discovered your channel a couple months ago to watch harvest vidos . Thanks for brings us along. Retired now so just gardening, some days that can be diffucukt to keed ahead of the weeds. Keep up the good work and continue to shine your light for the Lord! t
It is incredible to see what technology has done to the world and those of us that can remember a time before. As a teen in the 60's I helped a farmer across the road from us. Drove a Oliver 66 plowing and such, he had a radio on it and I thought that was out of the world, now you don't even have to drive the tractor GPS does it for you!! My grandparents farmed with horses, my grandmother was born in 1893, and I have a grandson who if he lives long enough he will see the year 2100. Keep up the great work love your videos!
As a guy that drove truck and farmed, I just always cleaned my truck or cab out everything when I got out, usually swept my tractor and combine cab out everyday too
For me I am a machinist 38 yrs now. Training and learning new systems. One thing I have found. Trying to teach others as you learn something helps you learn and teach yourself as well. My parents were farmers in South western Mn as they grew up. My uncle had my mom's family farm since 1876 as close as I know. Love your channel. Learning newer tech and capabilities of the new equipment. Love the green equipment. 👍
Enjoyed the vedio and your explanation. Just a friendly suggestion, please consider wearing a respiratory mask when in you're seed tank. The dusk could be the chemicals rubbed off of the seeds. You only have one pair of lungs, and too, your overall health. My Dad unfortunately dead of lung cancer, just something to keep in mind. Until next time stay safe and healthy, and "thanks" for sharing!
Love the channel for someone who has lived in many different cities around the world. My entire life has been living in cities. Don’t get me wrong. I have visited the countryside. The desert, the oceans, the mountains, the jungles the forests. However, I know very little about farming, so I find the videos you guys make very informative‘s and fairly easy to follow. Mind you there are some times I have to look up certain things you’re talking about. As I’ve said, lack of knowledge. Thanks for the videos and what it is like to run a farm. Thank you. Much appreciate it.
In my opinion, for what it's worth, Farmers are the most intelligent people on the face of the earth. I am proud to have come from a farming family in north Alabama.
so I'm a bit older, when I was a boy I would help my father plant corn and potatoes using a manual planter filled with about a quart of seed. You would make a step ahead and step on the planter to drive it into the ground and then spread the planter handles. Step-Spread-Step Spread for hours on end. I started driving at 7 years old a Deere 41B? don't remember the model exactly but had to spin the flywheel manually to start (also had tricycle gear). He and my mother harvested the corn by picking and throwing into a trailer pulled by the tractor I drove.
Laura, Farm Girls are the backbone of any farm or farming community, be it here in Australia or wherever in the world your farming. I’m sure there are many farm girls who watch your videos that are jealous of your exceptional talents and wish they could do what you do. I have no doubt you are a mentor to many farm girls all over the world.
A lot of folks like to say what you are doing wrong or how to do this or that. All that matters to me is that you post. When you do is up to you, it will show in my notifications. The more you learn, the more you know. Soon, folks will be asking you to share that knowledge. Have good days!
Cameras maybe a better choice to watch the rear end operations, just a thought. By the way I am not a farmer , just a 71 year old NAVY Veteran that is totally amazed at the technology of farming these days. Both of my Grand fathers were farmers and I loved working with them on the farms. That was in the 50' s and 60' s. My howe things have changed. I really love watching you and Grant as you go about your daily activities, you are truly amazing. Happy planting.
Hi, Laura. I'm going back 25 years or so with subscription to a technology magazine and several articles about the very new GPS and its possibilities for farming. They went further and talked about driverless tractors. Watching how much can go wrong I can't see that as a viable possibility. Great tech video.
Hi Laura, i stumbled over your channel some days ago and watched some of the recent videos. I wanna tell you, you're doing a great job explaining and teaching the non-farmers crowd and you're fulfilling your self-given mission really well! I'm living in the alps where nobody has those big machines and this much acres to farm - so i know almost nothing about your daily business and i've already learned so many little things, which in the end can help me too! You are a young girl and you're already leaving some big footprints in the soil I think! Just operating those big machines with the confidence and technical expertise you are showing is really impressing! Oh and to Grant - compliments, you've done great in marrying this young lady! Your a great couple - keep it up! Best regards from the Alps into the flat lands over the big lake!
Laura always interesting material presented in a engaging manner. Be careful entering a confined spaces. OHS first. Respiratory protection is also important as seeds are coated and you were inhaling the dust. Keep videos coming.
Hey Laura Grant how y'all doing great details I loved it especially that part where you was driving and talking on your phone glad you got it fixed Tucker I learn new things every time I watch you all🤔🤔🤔😐😎😎
Glad to see you washed your hands atleast once that day 😉 Laura, for those of us who’ve been around awhile, we know the state of the tractor cab during planting and harvest, so there’s nothing to be embarrassed about. And having been around for a while, it’s been really neat to see how you’ve grown as a farmer, TH-camr, and a young woman. We can’t wait to watch you and Grant grow as a family next.
Just wanted to wish you a late happy birthday 🎂🎉 hope you had a great day thanks for all your great videos I really enjoy them from your friend in Tennessee 😊
Laura you and Grant have opened a lot of eyes to the family farm life, and the ups and downs of farmers. Keep learning, keep teaching. Keep your head held high, you guys are making it work and love what you are doing.
I respect you and your husband for all your work. It kind of cracks me up when I see your painted nails. Take care of your tools and they will take care of you. Would it be possible to have a camera on the planter to see the condition of the field and planter? You have to keep turning around. That has to be hard on your back.
Okay John Deere needs to install swivel seats. Good day of planting. Hey, the first videos were great and only getting better. Laura, you amaze me how you keep your nails looking good, great video.
To this day I am amazed that you keep those long pretty colored nails for so long, and you don't back out of doing things just to keep your nails. I see you scooping seed, turning wrenches, changing oil and yes loving on Scott. You all are great folks. Thank you for sharing with us.
Love your story at the end Laura on how your confidence has grown in regards to your farming knowledge! I recently was on a trip with a friend and we were driving through Michigan farmland. I was making a bunch of comments on farming and what was in the fields and was asked how I know all this. I learned it all from “this gal named Laura.” So thank you and happy belated birthday!
Thank you for washing! So I watched a farmer with a tow behind seeder and it and the tractor had guidance globes. And the tractor turned ,lifted, & set down all by itself. Technology is great when it works.
Of course Farm Girls are important! They control machines and keep them running, but they also keep the Farm Boys running. 🙂Some run from them, some run after them, and some run for them.
I can't tell enough how much I have enjoyed watching your videos. My wife and I live in Northwest Illinois and am surrounded by corn and soybean fields. For the first time I have a better grasp on the planting process, as well as all the prep work during the "off season" to get ready to plant. Thank you so much for taking the time to produce these videos! They have become a regular part of our week 🙂
Laura, as you said earlier in this video, you have come a long way in just the short time I've been watching your videos. You are more confident as you narrate your daily journey. You are not afraid to get your fancy fingernails dirty as well as your smiley face. You and Grant make a great team. Thanks for being vulnerable within your videos.
On the topic of the peer farmers that have been around longer, it'd be neat to have a round table of sorts talking with them regarding the changes they've seen in the farming lifestyle and workflows as technology has evolved to assist (or to the detrement) in the process.
Thanx2much 4 showing us all of your farming skills/techniques........ grandfather farmed in S.D. ..... everything lost in great depression..... I can only imagine myself in your boots...if.... things had gone differently....if the giant financiers/bankers of the time hadn't ripped off most Americans
Your Awsome! It’s so neat to watch you and hubby! What a team! You guys have what it takes to succeed in whatever you would ever venture into! Your some farmers and you guys bring back fond memories of my years on the farm! God bless you both!
17:30 This is happening a lot for me. I love hanging around with farmers. I used to work on a farm as a second job and still love it. But they didn't had a full time job for me. And because of that it didn't paid enough to maintain my family. It's a real shame you can't really become a farmer in the Netherlands. You need to be a born farmer. It's a shame pretty much all farms are family businesses and are not fulltime hiring outsiders. I'd give up everything (besides my family of course) to be a farmer though. lol. Your(this) channel is really awesome for me. I love it!
Always a bright spot in my day to watch Laura and Grant doing what they do. Thanks for including an old man in your activities.
As an old man on a remote Scottish island, it is an absolute delight to have my days brightened up by such pleasant and smiling company AND learn something new too. Thank you, you do a lot of good
Laura, your such a winner and super star already.
I think you underestimate your impeccable farming and all-round intellect,
I’m proud of you and I don’t personally know you. 💃💃💃Go Girl…
Thanks!
Laura don't sell yourself short. You're very knowledgeable of your profession and explain things very well.

Face it Laura, Your a Farmer, a teacher and a media specialist. That's a hell of a resume!
and a loving wife.
You rock!!
😂😂
And a truck driver girl!!!!! Take care👍
You said it all
LAURA, you are simply amazing❤️❤️❤️
Each and Every Farmer is important to the well being and health of every human being on Mother Earth!!!🇨🇦😇
That is so cool. I like seeing the technology being used for everyday living.. Good Job Laura.
Laura, I love videos. We have row crop farmers here in Batesville, Arkansas. You have taught me so much about farming that i didn't know. Thanks for learning and teaching the viewers while you learn.
hey we just love smiles and how happy you are most time and good thing and way to be and we will keep watching
back in the 80s and 90s i worked on a farm and the equipment was changing a lot back then, cabs getting quieter and having air con, what a difference that made, wasn't nice sat in the cab, we burnt the stubble and the soot still used to get in the cab with all the window shut and of course i would sweat a lot so by the end of the day i would be black. there was no gps either so you had to pick a point normally using the tyres or mirrors so you didn't overlap when cultivating ect, i didn't have a phone they was like bricks and very expensive, all i had was a radio to listen to so was very boring . every day was a learning day not one day was the same. its really interesting to me how all the new tech has not only made things more accurate but safer too. thank you for sharing how this all works. keep up the good work. hope you have a great harvest will be watching to see how it goes.
Thank you for sharing your learning experiences and educating us along the way.
I live in Florida. I've had zero interest in farming till I discovered your channel. I Love your videos.
It is amazing how much I've learned about farming since watching your Channel, I appreciate your knowledge and your training
Good luck with your planting guys and God Bless ❤
Laura you’re a breath of FRESH AIR! Your energy is contagious and farming explanations so educational! Keep up the good work and editing.
I always heard it referred to as "coming into your own" , IDK why, but I can tell you from experience, that it is the single point in your conscience that you realize that:
" Hey, I am the man. I know as much or more than they do about what's going on. Your not going to intimidate me anymore."
So from now on, YOU are the man, be the boss!
I love when you say bye and then add a little more content, it's like a little extra bonus 😊
Bedankt

Thanks for posting all these videos. I check every day!

Laura's is a pro at keeping things nice and neat.
It is incredible to see what technology has done to the world and those of us that can remember a time before. As a teen in the 60's I helped a farmer across the road from us. As a guy that drove truck and farmed, I just always cleaned my truck or cab out everything when I got out, usually swept my tractor and combine cab out everyday too
16:20 sounds like a great off site video trip this winter
Laura you are so skilled that not even a scratch on the nail polish 😁

Laura, YOU ARE A POWERFUL CREATOR..... THANK YOU 🙏🙏🙏👍
There is nothing better than knowledge. There more you know, the more you understand, the more knowledge you will acquire. Its self accelerating.
You do a amazing job explaining to us that are not farmers. That you.
In my opinion, for what it's worth, Farmers are the most intelligent people on the face of the earth. I am proud to have come from a farming family in north Alabama.

Laura, Farm Girls are the backbone of any farm or farming community, be it here in Australia or wherever in the world your farming.

I tried I really tried to watch other framing videos but you have me hooked!. I feel your more informative than all other shows ❤
I think it is because she is real and explains things very well. Not trying to be something shes not. Her smile is additive.
Hi, Laura. I'm going back 25 years or so with subscription to a technology magazine and several articles about the very new GPS and its possibilities for farming. Interior of cab.... Glad you have HIGH STANDARDS
I never get bored of watching
Well, you have certainly edified me. You're achieving your goal.

Looks like you have had some great planting weather , the ending was pretty cool .
Grant, you are a good man, good farmer, good husband. Keep it up please. You have taught me a lesson to be nicer to my woman. Thank you.
Enjoyed the ride along...thanks for sharing!
Great to see a hard working young couple …. Always fun to see Laura in a seed tank. :)
I think I would be holding my breath while inside the seed tank.
Laura always interesting material presented in a engaging manner. Be careful entering a confined spaces. OHS first. Respiratory protection is also important as seeds are coated and you were inhaling the dust. Keep videos coming.
All TH-camrs started probably the same way. Learning and improving. You did OK
我是個農夫,我來自台灣,我非常喜歡你很樂意的分享任何拖拉機、聯合收割機...等等機械和科技農業的相關知識,也讓我了解到每個國家的農業的文化,thanks a lot . Hope you keep sharing your job and knowledge.
I learn something new on every episode. Thanks!
Hey Laura Grant how y'all doing great details I loved it especially that part where you was driving and talking on your phone glad you got it fixed Tucker I learn new things every time I watch you all🤔🤔🤔😐😎😎
This country needs more young people to do farming thank you for the videos
You taught me everything I know about major farming operations.

That was an interesting end to the video! Made me laugh out loud! Thanks, Laura.
To this day I am amazed that you keep those long pretty colored nails for so long, and you don't back out of doing things just to keep your nails. I see you scooping seed, turning wrenches, changing oil and yes loving on Scott.
You all are great folks. Thank you for sharing with us.
Hmmm delicious, bon appétit. When I listen to you, my English improves steadily. Great
Have always enjoyed your vids. I went back and caught up when I found the channel, guess what still here and will be !!
Awesome sharing today...thanks!!!
Good job!!
👍🐺🧙♂️
Growing up young lady, keep at it and thanks.
👎👎👎👎🤣🤑
You are always fun and interesting to watch.
Everyone of us guys wanted a wonderful farmer girl like you.
No problem…. You only need to keep your mind on a gazillion things at the same time….piece-o-cake 😂. What a super girl farmer you are! 🌱 🌽❤️
Girl you are very smart I have faith in you you are a hard worker
All your videos have been really good to watch!

This is happening a lot for me.
I love it!
Thanks So Much Laura!! You Are The Best!! With A wonderful Smile!
Keep Smiling On!!
😀👍👊❤
