I've been eyeballing the Pathfinder set for a while before running across this set on youtube. I really like this set much better just from watching videos. Does this company ship to the US? I'm surprised that stove didn't work out so well, seems like a ton of holes? Maybe cut a few more down low? Have you used it with an alcohol stove?
Hey Charlie.. I’m not sure on the shipping maybe email the company www.thebushcraftstore.co.uk I’m yet to try an alcohol stove though I think it would be ideal for that. The pathfinder set is very similar I also like the pathfinder set up either your on to a winner.
It’s superb with an alcohol stove especially the TBS one with cross members. In my opinion that’s the real intended use, the upside down fire seems an after thought.
do you know what i actually had more success turning it upside down pinching the open top so it would grab the cup the airflow was so much better boiled in a few min off couple of sticks the fire didn't stall in the centre. I will have to do a quick vid on it.

You have to wait for the flames to pop out of the grill and then you'll put your cup. You ar chocking your fire

Nice little vid.. I find those stoves work well with Alcohol stoves or tiny twigs.. But deffo handy when looking to travel light..
It’s ideal with the little stuff when we’re not blessed big fire wood 🪵
The kit works far better with the shield inverted and a trangia stove in it with cross members. A very efficient minimalist stove.
Excellent video I think fuel tablets will work excellent with the new fire kit

I will try a fuel tablet see how it works out as a last resort type fire 🔥 , I personally do like to use what I can find.
mine works really well with meth stove and cross members makes a good wind shield keeps it all contained

Looks like the same SS pieces. Someone claiming they designed this but who really knows who really designed them.
