You want them to take on a 3rd member of the cast (presumably a lot shorter) start to hate each other and then start acting up to what they perceive is their public persona and become crap insulting as many foreign nations as possible on the way?
Can't agree more with you on the Top Gear thing... that much I read (sorry for that). Also have to mention that Captains playing has improved ALOT! (maybe its about having the confidence to play your best) But anyway I really like these vids and have been watching them for so many items I have bought to get an idea whats the thing for me. Keep it up!
Ye the idea is actually nice but Chapman got his band tours and Chapman guitars to run, and the Cap has Anderton's to run, I don't know if they'd have the time.
Just got to say that although not technically brilliant, Lee Anderton is a fantastic blues guitarist with such a good ear for nice sound. He has a great a sense of time and position when making his simple but effective improv solos. You could go as far and say that Lee makes more pleasant sounding music than Rob when it comes to improvisation, in my opinion. Also, what a cool pair of guys! Genuinely nice people as well as genuine, authentic musicians!
Let me preface this by saying I'm a big fan, and have been watching for a few years now. However, I can't help but notice that your videos have slowly evolved from the two of you goofing around, telling anecdotes, and presumably being yourselves, to what is seemingly rushing through the videos to get done. I think what made the two of you so endearing was the personal touch, giving us all a peek into your lives, and also that watching your videos felt like you were just having a hang with a few buddies that loved gear as much as yourself. Now it seems as if it's "Here is this guitar, a few sounds, and if you want to know more, go watch our other video on it". I'm sure that you all are extremely busy with the success of Chapman Guitars (big congrats!), and the continued growth of Anderton's, but I'm sure that I'm not alone when I say that I would love to see more videos that aren't just trying to sell something and move on to the next product. We know that selling gear is your livelihood, and ultimately the purpose of the videos. However, I believe that your comradery, approachability and natural gregariousness were the original catalyst for your youtube success, and a platform I'm sure a lot of us would like to see both of you return to. Love what you do and hope for the continued success of Anderton's and exponential growth for Chapman Guitars. Cheers!
I agree completely. I think the biggest reason for the rushing vibe is because they do all of the videos for a whole month one right after the other for two days in a row. It does feel less personal than it did before and I kind of miss seeing Lee's old white Strat, but at least the format they're using is still pretty informative about the products. Personally, I would rather see fewer but longer videos like they used to be where they go off on tangents and such.
I agree with Brandon and Sugarwolf totally... AND.... Rob, please burn that damn shirt or ask the viewers for donations for the Salvation Army thrift store for a new T-shirt.
Avalanche1368 Since they usually shoot about 3 videos in a day, that will let us track the order of the videos far more easily: 1) The bottle is full and they are sober. 2) The bottle is down halfway and they are looking a bit wobbly. 3) The bottle is empty, the Captain has been sick down the back of a Marshall cab and Chappers has forgotten how to play guitar.
You know what's interesting to me... Lee's playing has gotten 1 million times better than when I first started watching these reviews a year or two ago. Bravo!
Great video. I have a 2007 SG Faded, I bought new in Virginia Beach VA, Guitar Center.. Love it over all . Sold my Les Paul Custom. I play very little, Not is a band though.Blues, Rock and very little country. I am just above a beginner guitarist, self taught.Keep up the videos. Great info.
Something about that SG really suits Captain!! Like I've never really seen you play as well on a video as with a SG, seriously like a duck in water, especially when you added a bit of grit :)
kinda sucks how the sgs got the "les paul 100" logo on their headstocks seriously the logo looks lame as shit and doesn't even look good on the les paul
If you're going to honou him, add a little '100' to the proper logo, don't mess with it, no matter how authentic it is to the man, because to the guitar, it isn't authentic
Deathrape2001 I doubt it, the logos are the same in terms of material and application - they are both decals, neither are inlays. So they'll be pretty much the same cost. Edit: In fact, they'd probably lose money in paying their R+D department to create the new logo and print the decals, instead of just using the old ones they would have had lying around.
That's basically my rig. '62 reissue SG, few to no pedals right into a Fender amp in my case. Great classic sound, control the dirt with my fingers and the guitar volume pot. I got mine for the neck and the Sound. The neck is like a great pair of legs... they go all the way up... '62 has that thin wide neck with the very streamlined almost non-existent heel. I love it. Great for bottleneck too.
I just bought a used 2015 mint condition standard for a decent price. I was skeptical about the gforce tuner because I am kind of a "purist". It works so well and with the splitting coils, raisable nut, and wider neck it is definitely the most fun of my guitars to play. Sounds so good it made me a believer.
Captain that last riff at the end you were playing with Chappers was soulful good! I've never been an SG fan but I was able to play the 2015 Standard and for me and my average size hands there is just something so playable about the wider neck; the SG felt perfect in my hands. Beats me why this is but it's just my experience.
I know 7 Les Paul 2015 players who've had to replace the brass nuts within months due to extreme wear and actual flaking. Gibson did honor all of them and sent titanium replacements...haven't heard any updates.
Ok, so bought my first Gibson. It's the 2015 SG Special that no one apparently like so...............what the hell..... I like it. Love the wide neck, Like the O fret nut,,, tuner is...........not so cool but what the helll. Think it's good that they took a step to new tech. this may not be the one but they tried. Much better as an option than force feeding. Should improve with time. So I'm loving mine. Will most likely change the tuners but so far I can live with it. Can't for the life of me figure out why anyone would worry about the inscription, or the hologram. Kinda non issues to me. I can certainly understand why some would not like the extra width on the neck. For me it's a good thing but again I can see why others would not like it. Nice review.
S Hogan yup I have a 2015 SG standard, I won’t deny that the neck is defiantly wider but it still does feel great with a slim taper radius. I also have a 2016 slim taper profile les Paul and I always go for my SG to play.
does anyone know what chords chappers is playing at around 2:30, i thought it was A G and D but I've played it and it don't sound right, is it because she might be tuned to Eb?
It's called innovation, and most of these things are improvements. Brass nut makes it slightly brighter, the tuner is easier than using even a foot tuner and there has been a massive improvement to quality. Stop being an old person from the old times and get with the new times.
Artemis Bumwhistle that is exactly what the guys were saying when they came up with the new Coca-Cola idea and dumped the Number 1 selling classic formula. How did that work out? If you have something great why mess with it.
Chappers!! My next guitar is going to be a Chapman. The guitar shop I go to is very interested if getting your guitars. They are JamPro Music Factory in Reno, Nevada, USA. I just had them install some Seymour Duncan Alnico Slash pickups in my 2013 Gibson LPJ. I talked to them about Chapman Guitars when I dropped it off and when I went to pick up the guitar today they had done the research and are very interested in carrying your guitars. Way cool!!! I told them I will buy the first Chapman Guitar if they can do it. You should definitely call them and make that happen! Monkey Lord Minion signing out!
I must say the Gforce tuners are something i actually need.. i usually play shows where my pedal board is on the stage already and i just walk out so being able to have a tuner that can tune my guitar without the need for a cable or a clip on tuner. this is actually something i would fancy..
Once you get over the natural guitar player worry/dislike of anything new, you do just kind of forget that G Force is a bit controversial & you just press the button, it tunes your guitar, & you get on with playing...
i love it how nobody gives a shit about the bass guitar, they could not invent a Gforce tuner for bass... well i got my own solution, buy a fender jazz bass or prcision bass, ask for a thumbrest tell them to put on the thumbrest and buy a clip on tuner and voila just keep the clip on tuner on the thumbrest and instant tuner. Sorry about my language. The fenders don't cost you upwards 2,500 if you want the new gibson thunderbird bass, and if a fender bass does cost that much, you can assure it would be better then the gibson since gibson always has a headstock at 45 degree angle that is prone to breaking, i used to be a gibson fan, but now im seriously regretting to have ever purchased any content from them at all
Ernesto Chang If you are looking for bass content you have come to the wrong place. Chappers and the Captain are guitarists. Sure, if they pick up a bass they could play plenty of notes, but it requires a different mentality from playing guitar to properly understand bass and play it well so even if they did bass reviews, they would be from a guitarists perspective rather than a bassists.
I really dig hearing Lee play the lead stuff when they jam. Don't get me wrong, both guys are great and Chappers is a crazy good guitar player, I just like the Capt's style more
Robbie Height It can be argued that because Led Zeppelin were some of the first pioneers of heavy metal, the Les Paul was actually the first guitar associated with that hard rock/metal sound. Or even the telecaster as Page liked to use them too. The SG really surfaced in hard rock music when Black Sabbath got popular, around 1970
wow... i thought the other YT players were good but i could tell this guy is good right from a few secs of playing. dang. the difference in level is clear
You guys should make a video where you just do some sweet jamming. I really enjoy the little bits in between when you guys are just playing. You could pick a couple guitars, maybe a couple pedals and just jam for the rest of the video. That would be wicked!!
I love SG's because they're like Les Pauls (of which I love the tone) but that I also love to play (aside from the axcess). And yeah it takes a bit of getting used to the neck being an extra inch or two away
I've got 2 questions 4U Gents, do feel difference in weight? and can you manually tune those guitars (if e-tune sucks) Thanks & Great reviews meanwhile!
The guitar I learned on is an Epiphone SG and I'm saving up for a Gibson SG. I love the look of the Les Paul but the necks are so hard to play. I love my SG.
Nice vid, thanks a lot! My humble thoughts on Gibson … Gibson history: Gibson tried to put up something to produce a cheaper than the original LesPaul model and came up with the flat body design LesPaul with the two horns. Les Paul did not like the new design, stating “... a guy could hurt ...”. So he had his name removed from the headstock … Gibson marketing: Gibson seems to be in the “... we use history as a marketing tool only … we don't care … and we hate the 50th anniversary strat … so we beat Fender twice with our math skills: 2 * 50 = 100”-mode. What Gibson could have done: - apply a volute to decrease “headstock chop chop” problems - maybe reposition the upper strap pin to get a more balanced instrument What we could do: - since the headstock has already got some mods - G-FORCE - why not apply a cover foil to disguise the “nerdy 100 logo” (;-)) ... - well, not much more ... The SG is a fantastic guitar in its own world, a real rock machine, just stop comparing it with a LesPaul … My thoughts on the G-FORCE: - no Telecaster = too much feedback, e-guitars not affordable for most of us - no precision bass = no rock bass - amps should be simple = metal on a tweed twin??? really? - Bigsby trems only = no Rockinger/no Floyd and no Van Halen - period correct open gear tuners = no locking tuners on a drop tune 8 string and no Meshuggah - modern music does use a lot of different tunings = buy 20 axes OR just activate instant retuning on stage and reduce the need of different guitars - E-tune will be improved within the next few years, problems will be sorted out and it will become a spec choice on many guitars Well … i do love my traditional type strat but I also appreciate the availability of well developed “amp in a gadget” simulations/pedals! This modern comfort just allows me to practice in my small flat without “having a personal relationship which the cops in my community turning up at my door every other night”. So history and modern times both help me to enjoy my guitar playing!
I love my 2008 SG Special. Super love it. No gloss, just that lovely oil sorta finish. Got a Warpig in the bridge, but I am thinking of going Seymour Duncan when I have the money. Nazgul and Sentient. I am curious as to how they'll sound in my SG, as it has a mixed reputation with very heavy tones. Quick question for Chappers or The Captain, regarding frets. I really did fall head over heels in love with my SG when I first played it, and I still view it as my favourite instrument, however if there were one thing I could change it would be for some extra jumbo frets. What are your opinions on refretting instruments? Especially ones you love the feel of, but want to improve that little bit more to bring it maybe a touch more in line with your tastes and desires? Have a good one, chaps!
Can see robs picking hand is getting some influence from rabea! The quick little flicks of the wrist, and I don't blame him for being influenced by bea, he's a fantastic player
The Captain's tone on this video is amazing. I own and love an SG already but suddenly a Fender Hotrod sounds like a good purchase too. Is he just using the Amp drive channel or is there a pedal in there too?
As far as i know he never/rarely use's the drive channel. Look for the "Pedalquest" Video, there you see the pedals. (staxmaster or something and a EP Boost)
Hey captain, Les Paul told them to take his name off of the SG when they first made it, they never told him about the guitar and went ahead and put his name on it at first, but he made them take it off.
I've NEVER understood why the input jack on SG's are on the front of the body. Don't get me wrong, I love everything about the SG, but I've just never understood that design choice.
I think it' just because the body is so thin it wouldn't hold the jack properly. I do agree though, I don't like the look of a guitar with the input right on the front of the body
Body's too thin for a side mount jack. And actually with an angled cable it's very convenient to just run the cable through the strap and keep it out of the way. If you want to see an unfortunate jack placement, look at a melody maker
...do you not see what you're typing? Are you drunk? How in the hell am I the troll in this situation? I own an sg. A REAL sg. Putting a jack on the side would leave so little wood around it that it would break. I don't give a fuck about your knockoff. I said an sg is too thin. Gibson and epiphone are the only ones who make sg's. So if you have a Kramer, that doesn't fucking apply. I also build guitars so I know what I'm talking about. Considering you can't even identify what guitar you're talking about, I suggest you leave this thread.
Back in 1995 when I bought my 1st guitar ever. The 1st guitar I picked up and played was a Gibson SG. I could not stand how neck heavy and awkward it felt. It was like the guitar was wanting to fall to my left constantly. I also did now like how the chord is right in front of the guitar always in the way. So I bought a Les Paul Custom and been in love ever since! But hey, not knocking the SG lovers at all.
Typically, there isn't a guitar with more bass/mid frequencies as the les paul. The SG is more mid/treble, telecaster treble/bass, and the strat is pure treble. Ibanez and other metal guitars are treble/mid, focusing more on treble compared to the SG. As for lighter and easier shredding, almost any guitar will be lighter than a les paul. Shredding seems to be easier with 1) stainless steel jumbo frets, 2) wider necks, and 3) better access to frets past 15 (unlike the LP), especially if you have small hands. I'd say, get the SG, Explorer, Flying V, or a Jackson/Ibanez. Out of those, a Flying V is my favourite, as they are quite comfortable and light, and they do not neck dive. They have great fret access, and if you re-fret them with stainless steel jumbos, you've got a killer shredder. Plus the 490T pickups give you that les paul territory grunt.
Sam Moon Wow. You were more helpful in that comment then anyone or anything I have researched for the last 2 months. I will look into the Flying V which is my favorite design. Also I will look into the Jacksons & Ibanez brands. Do the Explores & Flying V's also come with the Humbucker 490T's in them, or do you have to custom install them yourself? Because I really wanna have those in any guitar I play.
The sound om 2.32 is what I am searching for. I am sold on this combo. What position on the mics ? Split bridge ?? Thanks !! I already own a Special. WilI get this sound using it on a JCM 800 with that cabinet ? I have a 4X12 With V30, not the same.
I'm likely never going to buy a Gibson (again), and i don't currently own any, but for some reason i always find it extremely interesting to see what they're up to. Sure, it might not always be what we want, but they're at least stirring the pot a bit.
I acquired an Epiphone Les Paul." the cheapest model they make" in a trade..I have Fenders, Jacksons,Ibanez & traded a rifle i had for the Epi,& a Line6 Floor Pod hd...The body is almost as thin as an SG & the pickups in it were shit so after ripping those out & adding P90's.a general settup & a set of 10's its now a bona fide rock machine! Amazing difference with the P90's..I also do the wraparound the tailpiece before going over the tunamatic bridge to make the break angle a little less severe..Its also a bolt on neck but i'm not ashamed of taking it out to the clubs..The other guitarist in my band plays a 69 Gibson LP custom that has factory mini buckers that are amazing & he loves playing my Epi.
In all his solos here Chapman didn`t rezalize there was a Db in the chord progression before it turns to mixolydian mode with the C note (minor 7th of the root D). So he was playing a minor third over a major chord. Until the C chord, the key should have been D jonian, with the major 7th.
You guys should definitely do more videos with sg's. Until I watched this one I was never really into them. I had one a few years ago but I traded it for a nice pair of boots lol. Don't worry though it was a cheap knockoff sg that was worth less than the boots.
Honestly, these reviews are getting massive. And hopefully! Someday soon! these guys will be joined by semi-gods the likes of Eric, Mark, Bruce, Slash, Bea ;-), Joe (Satriani? Bonemassa? either would do) to jam and round up these reference reviews of some great instruments.

Needed more ACDC songs in this review xD
And sabbath xD
+jynxx'd and cream

Agreed. I they'd stop playing that same rift that they play over and over again. AC/DC all the way

Great solo at the end Cap!
Cheers mate
CaptAnderton That was some of the best, most melodic playing I've heard from you. You're definitely improving!
Am I the only one that just doesn't like circle dot inlays on gibson or epiphone guitars ? they just look much better with block or trapezoid inlays
+thomas chambers same here. the g400 version has the trap inlays but for more $$$
that's why they sell them with different prices
I like dots with binding, like on the 60s SG Specials
I do only if they come with p90's
Awesome jam in the beginning. The licks at 00:52-1:00 is gold.

Cheers mate - another guitar to add to the shopping list!
All the little jam sessions in this video are fantastic! You guys should make an album with jams only... You can call it "Cap&Chap"
I swear to Bob you guys need to just put out a jam cd for guitarists to play along with for maybe 4 quid
Absolutely love when you guys jam together
kinda sucks how the sgs got the "les paul 100" logo on their headstocks

In fact, they'd probably lose money in paying their R+D department to create the new logo and print the decals, instead of just using the old ones they would have had lying around.
looks like a 5 year old with arthritis was given a golden crayon and scribbled that logo on.
Hacked Tutorials That's just how every guitarist signs their name.
Source: I'm a guitarist with a really shitty signature.
That solo the captain plays around 4:15 is very good - the best I recall him playing - short but tasty!
Chappers your TONE is insane in this Video!! Very Nice :)) and there is something special about an SG through a HRD Captain
I love how they put positional audio on their videos. Nice touch.
man i just wish i could have every single guitar ever made!!
ill be in heaven
AY media Man, My first guitar was so Bad, I buyed the guitar + amp for 25€ on eBay, you dont want To play on this😂
That last jam sounded incredible! The Capt and Rob should do an EP of their jam sessions! 😝
Sounds so good it made me a believer.
lee killing it at 13:30 , well done, nice review
Lee has progressed so much! WOW.. Respect to you bro :)
I love my 2012 model SG standard! Love the feel and the tone! :)
11:33 even though you guys had been going a long time by this point, you can still see how much the video quality has improved in a year. dat focus
Man, thats what i call TONE! I enjoyed chappers playing more here than in others vidoes
Gibson SG, Marshal JCM 800 and AC/DC riffs... Who could hate on this video! :D
The Cpt part was really cool at the end
You guys just killed it at the end.
Very nice tones.Great video as always.
'This kind of vibe...' noodles around aimlessly on the guitar - 2:14 what kind of vibe exactly?
Very nice jam! Captain really nailed it! Reminds me a bit of this used to be finnish band Kolmas nainen.
I saw what you just did. You almost made me want an SG! Very clever.
I didn's see if anyone commented on the song in the begining- Overkill by Men at Work. Love that song. Also- Capt you just get better and better!
You guys are amazing! Cheers from Denmark!
I actually just ordered an Epiphone G-400 SG Ltd. Edition in Silverburst. They usually retailed for 350-400 USD, but got my used for 189.99 USD.
does anyone know what chords chappers is playing at around 2:30, i thought it was A G and D but I've played it and it don't sound right, is it because she might be tuned to Eb?
Things that suck about Gibson 2015:
Wider Neck
Headstock Inscription
Brass Nut
Tuning System
They want the traditionalists (so every gibson fan pretty much) to shell out to go custom. I bet there have been boardroom meetings about this.
It's called innovation, and most of these things are improvements. Brass nut makes it slightly brighter, the tuner is easier than using even a foot tuner and there has been a massive improvement to quality. Stop being an old person from the old times and get with the new times.
I would just re-phrase that as "things you don't like...." which is cool, but a lot of people are liking the new features.
Artemis Bumwhistle that is exactly what the guys were saying when they came up with the new Coca-Cola idea and dumped the Number 1 selling classic formula. How did that work out? If you have something great why mess with it.
"Things that are fucking awesome about the 2015 Gibson lineup"
You're welcome
You & the Captain can really rock & groove on those Gibson SGs! Might get one one day!
It's got tone-age and body! Signature sound. Thanks guys always great vids!
Great playing on that Standard Captain!
I believe you when you say you write ur own riffs but this is the one time that I think I heard that riff before. It's born to be wild
The fenders don't cost you upwards 2,500 if you want the new gibson thunderbird bass, and if a fender bass does cost that much, you can assure it would be better then the gibson since gibson always has a headstock at 45 degree angle that is prone to breaking, i used to be a gibson fan, but now im seriously regretting to have ever purchased any content from them at all
Ernesto Chang
If you are looking for bass content you have come to the wrong place. Chappers and the Captain are guitarists. Sure, if they pick up a bass they could play plenty of notes, but it requires a different mentality from playing guitar to properly understand bass and play it well so even if they did bass reviews, they would be from a guitarists perspective rather than a bassists.
James Lewis it's ok i get by, i found rob chappers a long time ago, but what really frustrates me is that lack of inovation with gibson basses
the playing of the captain was absolutely brilliant !
I love SG's! Nice video Chappers!! :)
SG's are amazing i have a 2007 epiphone standard cherry red it shreds. Good review guys rock on! 🎸
I really dig hearing Lee play the lead stuff when they jam. Don't get me wrong, both guys are great and Chappers is a crazy good guitar player, I just like the Capt's style more
really loved that first jam, was very cool
Why is the Les Paul signature on an SG?
Love the review. Please keep the 2015 Gibsons coming when you have them please. Especially the es series (I may have asked that on the Lp jr one too)
SG.. The tool used to create Heavy Metal !!! No other guitar will ever have that title !! \m/
The tool used to create anything with distortion?
Robbie Height It can be argued that because Led Zeppelin were some of the first pioneers of heavy metal, the Les Paul was actually the first guitar associated with that hard rock/metal sound. Or even the telecaster as Page liked to use them too. The SG really surfaced in hard rock music when Black Sabbath got popular, around 1970
I'd say Pete Townshend The Who, Eric Clapton Cream, George Harrison Beatles all '67-'68 is when SG got popular.
wow... i thought the other YT players were good but i could tell this guy is good right from a few secs of playing. dang. the difference in level is clear
these guys are youtubeplayers too, lol
You guys should make a video where you just do some sweet jamming. I really enjoy the little bits in between when you guys are just playing. You could pick a couple guitars, maybe a couple pedals and just jam for the rest of the video. That would be wicked!!
The SG's and Les Paul's sound incredible through that Fender. Surprisingly lol
How is this surprising
probably the best i have heard the captain play
who would think that it would take an SG to wake the captain up. Love his playing in this one!
That new SG standard sounded beautiful with the Marshall ;-)
Those blues licks that Chappers did were great (on the neck pickup 6:00)
The guitar I learned on is an Epiphone SG and I'm saving up for a Gibson SG. I love the look of the Les Paul but the necks are so hard to play. I love my SG.
The Captain looks badass wielding an sg
Ooooh, that was fenomenal solo at the end cap10!
I don't want a minitune and I don't want to have to pay extra to get rid of it leaving probably shitty scrapes on the back headstock
Cool story, bro. Good thing there are other guitars to buy then
intermarer yep shame I want an sg standard without mini tune and not any "other guitars"
***** I want a new sg though. ... not a 4 year old one sooooo. Although the new Gibson line seems to suck
Leonard Crainie Being new doesn't make it better, get the fuck over it or go and buy a Fender.
Michael White no Michael honey . No
Nice vid, thanks a lot! My humble thoughts on Gibson …
Gibson history:
Gibson tried to put up something to produce a cheaper than the original LesPaul model and came up with the flat body design LesPaul with the two horns. Les Paul did not like the new design, stating “... a guy could hurt ...”. So he had his name removed from the headstock …
Gibson marketing:
Gibson seems to be in the “... we use history as a marketing tool only … we don't care … and we hate the 50th anniversary strat … so we beat Fender twice with our math skills: 2 * 50 = 100”-mode.
What Gibson could have done:
- apply a volute to decrease “headstock chop chop” problems
- maybe reposition the upper strap pin to get a more balanced instrument
What we could do:
- since the headstock has already got some mods - G-FORCE - why not apply a cover foil to disguise the “nerdy 100 logo” (;-)) ...
- well, not much more ...
The SG is a fantastic guitar in its own world, a real rock machine, just stop comparing it with a LesPaul …
My thoughts on the G-FORCE:
- no Telecaster = too much feedback, e-guitars not affordable for most of us
- no precision bass = no rock bass
- amps should be simple = metal on a tweed twin??? really?
- Bigsby trems only = no Rockinger/no Floyd and no Van Halen
- period correct open gear tuners = no locking tuners on a drop tune 8 string and no Meshuggah
- modern music does use a lot of different tunings = buy 20 axes
OR
just activate instant retuning on stage and reduce the need of different guitars
- E-tune will be improved within the next few years, problems will be sorted out and it will become a spec choice on many guitars
Well … i do love my traditional type strat but I also appreciate the availability of well developed “amp in a gadget” simulations/pedals! This modern comfort just allows me to practice in my small flat without “having a personal relationship which the cops in my community turning up at my door every other night”. So history and modern times both help me to enjoy my guitar playing!
Was Captain Lee playing a Rik Emmett lick here and there, from Magic Power maybe?
Rob I am 13 and I love the ML2! Thanks!
Thank you for posting a video. I need to restore the electronics on mine, a 1968 SG with tremolo.
I really dig the captains playing in this one, but chapters always seems to get the better tone IMO
My SG is almost permanently set to the neck pickup lol.... love the sound.
9:02 what scale is that?
I would love to see Rob play a Gibson Byrdland :-) Throw out some Nugent riffs and some clean jazz runs :-)
GameGrumps Is Barry the editor for these guys too??? 1:39
I guess that makes sense
It's also a lot harder to accidentally jerk the cable out of the socket
...do you not see what you're typing? Are you drunk? How in the hell am I the troll in this situation? I own an sg. A REAL sg. Putting a jack on the side would leave so little wood around it that it would break. I don't give a fuck about your knockoff. I said an sg is too thin. Gibson and epiphone are the only ones who make sg's. So if you have a Kramer, that doesn't fucking apply. I also build guitars so I know what I'm talking about. Considering you can't even identify what guitar you're talking about, I suggest you leave this thread.
What song are you guys playing? Nice!! I love the reviews you guys do. Thank you.
Rob, what kind of strap are you using? Brand? etc. I rlly like it
Wow, that drive pedal the lee is using sounds amazing
Cheers Anakin - its called a Staxmaster - I think Yoda uses one - you should ask to try his.
About time!!!
Thats a story of the ages. Everyone who plays the SG talks about how its good, but the les paul is just better.
Sam Moon What would you recommend as a 2nd guitar to a les paul? Something that sounds as heavy but lighter and can solo on faster?
Because I really wanna have those in any guitar I play.
i just bought a gibson LP studio and the rhythm/treble knob thing is on the top where i strum. wish i would have gotten an sg. haha
I really like the jam at the end.
Could you guys do a history of the les paul or strat or another type of guitar to show how much they've changed? Great video buy the way
The sound om 2.32 is what I am searching for. I am sold on this combo. What position on the mics ? Split bridge ?? Thanks !! I already own a Special. WilI get this sound using it on a JCM 800 with that cabinet ? I have a 4X12 With V30, not the same.
I think the Cap10 has a very sympathetic ear for a good tune, I enjoy his playing immensely. But I am an old git that likes rock and blues.
Until the C chord, the key should have been D jonian, with the major 7th.
rafasounds2010 THANKS BRO
Captain i really like your watch ,is it a rolex? or does it just look like a rolex
Badass ending! :)
