Great suggestion! Thanks! I just recently acquired a Levin/Martin W 12-38 built ca 1977. I am the second owner of this guitar. It sounds so sweet! This series was built by hand in Sweden after Martin bought Levin. Matin’s contribution to the design is apparently the double truss rods. An intriguing instrument.
I've stayed away from buying a 12 string because of this very reason...also there's only one song I know to play that was originally recorded on a 12. Bon Jovi's "Dead or Alive". Also 12's are REALLY expensive ($1,500) and not always in stock at my local music shop.

I've not heard of a Levin/Martin. Sounds like a nice guitar. Enjoy playing it.
You can't talk about a 12-string without mentioning Dick Rosmini, the greatest of 'em all.
